galaxy s6, s6 edge and s6 edge+ have problem with bluetooth ?
I've had bluetooth problems with mine connecting to my car. It will pair and then after 2-3 connections, it will be unable to connect and I have to repair it again. Might be a connected issue that will be fixed in the future.

Do you use a smartwatch too ? There is a known issue with samsung devices when it is connected to Android Wear. Sometimes my bluebux x would stop working and if I press volume up/down, it will start again. Found out that it happens due to Android Wear app. I disconnected the watch from AndroidWear app and never had that problem again!

I am having trouble with my Bluebud X too. They will suddenly stop working even though the music still shows as playing (but it does not play out of the phone speaker either). I have to turn bluetooth off and on, and reconnect again with the headset to make them work (I have not tried the volume trick - will try that next time). I have Android Wear installed but only because I have a Pebble watch - I am not connecting to an Android Wear device. Do I have to uninstall Android Wear? This is a pain - I have not had this issue with any previous phones, including Note 4.

I have the phone in my pocket so it really cannot be much closer to the headphones. If that range is too far then it is a serious bug! I also experience regular wifi dropouts where the wifi disconnects and then reconnects for no reason.
These two problems are frustrating as they affect the basic functionality of the phone.

Try this... Uninstall your Android Wear app (since you do not use it) and goto Pebble App and disconnect your pebble from the app. Now try with your bluebud x. It should work fine. These new phones have some issue with multi Bluetooth connections..

So I have been trying this for a while now and the issue still happens. The music will just stop playing in the bluebuds for no apparent reason. The bluetooth connection shows 'connected' and the music player shows it is playing (i.e. triangle) but the player is not advancing (i.e. time on track is stuck) and there is no sound from anywhere. Any more ideas? Thanks.

In my case, the player never stopped advancing. It was only the sound transmission which wasn't working and once I click on volume up/down, it would start working again till next time. For me, it was definitely the Android Wear. Once I disconnected, it would work just fine. Try using a different bluetooth headset, if you still see a problem, you can ask for a replacement to Jaybird. I've heard they're good with their warranty!
Hey guys,
I was just wondering if anyone who has the LG V20 in their hands is also experiencing any Bluetooth Audio (A2DP) audio stuttering or skipping?
I have the AT&T version that I got early through preorder and when I am listening to music on my Ford Sync 3 in my car it is skipping and stuttering like crazy. It doesn't always do it but when it does, it is nonstop.
Not sure if anyone has suggested fixes... It does it both screen on and screen off. I don't think it's sleep related.

Could be on to something... Both Ford Sync 3 and UConnect are both made using BlackBerry owned QNX software. I wonder if something isn't jiving right between the two.
Because I have Plantronics BackBeat Sense and LG Tone Platinum headphones and neither have any issues with Spotify. Only has an issue in my car.
I even went as far as to master reset my car stereo to see if that helped. Could have something to do with the Spotify AppLink app that runs when in the car but not on a regular headset.
Try closing some apps. Also does Spotify have a cache or buffer option you can make bigger? Other than those two problems it could be signal from cellular or Bluetooth interference.
I have closed apps but have not messed with cache or buffer. I also see that track time doesnt count on screen with uconnect via Bluetooth some of the time. Truck is less than a month old and updated. Worked with my iPhone 6 plus, with the exception of album art and not being able to choose USB vs Bluetooth if both were connected. The LG isn't even detected via USB (most likely a USB C issue). I am in an airport right now and hopefully my rental will have Bluetooth to test out another connection.
I am having an issue controlling spotify when using Bluetooth in my Jetta. I can't skip tracks or control at all from my cars touch screen or controls on the steering wheel. Never had this issue with other android devices. Not sure what to do to fix but very frustrating! I have tried uninstalling spotify, wiping and repairing the phone with the car....not sure what else to do. The controls worked only the first day I had the phone. I have smart settings turned off as I thought that may have been interfering.
This is going to sound crazy, but...
I'm having the skipping/stuttering issue in my Lincoln MKC with Sync 3, but ONLY when stopped at a red light or stop sign. When driving above 20 MPH it works perfectly. This is happening in Spotify and my podcast app, and all files are stored on the phone, so it's not a slow cell connection. I just replaced my Note 7 with the V20 and the Note never had any bluetooth issues, so I'm assuming it's an LG issue that hopefully can be fixed with a firmware update.

I just swapped my V20 out with another. Haven't had the issue since. Wonder if it was a bad Bluetooth chip. Was going it when I had a LG tone headset connected while on a phone call. So far new one is good.

You are not crazy. I thought I was because I have this exact same problem. I use Google Play Music, but when I am stopped (or going under about 5mph) the Bluetooth stutters. Over 5mph and its flawless. I have version 2.2 of the Sync 3 software. I am using the LG V20 and that is the only device I have tried.
Have you been able to find a solution? This is the weirdest thing I've ever experienced.

I just purchased the V20 on Friday and I've had this streaming issue every time I get into my car! I have a 2017 MKZ and it's only in the car. I have an LG bluetooth headset that it doesn't skip with. I paired my husband's Beats and it doesn't skip there either--ONLY in the car. I just read about someone having issues at a lower speed--I haven't been on the freeway yet, so I cannot attest to low speeds, but it's interesting. I'm a computer geek and I'm stumped! I paired it to a Sony soundbar in Best Buy today and it didn't skip AT ALL! Grrrrr!

I have a 2017 MKZ and an LG V20 with the SAME music streaming issue! I use Google Music and it's done the same thing with streaming music or from MP3s on the SD card. It's only in the car, not on my two Bluetooth headsets nor a soundbar I paired to in a Best Buy today. How frustrating!!! I was running errands in Houston, close to the house, so no chance for a freeway trip yet to see if it mirrors your 20mph issue. Please reply to this forum if you end up finding a fix!
I've removed numerous apps, I've disabled sleep mode on all things Bluetooth as well as downgraded Google Music too. Uggghhh!

It's not necessarily the phone or car, Spotify has some terrible programmers. In Oct there was a bug that stopped Bluetooth buttons from working and it took 3 releases to fix it.

Stuttering on Bluedio T3 Turbine Headphones
I already tried all the possible solutions from the internet. Below is the summary:
Safe Mode - still stutter
Battery Optimization OFF for Bluetooth and Music App - still stutter
Wifi OFF - still stutter
Clear data of Bluetooth and T3 Headphones - still stutter
All other bluetooth earphone or speaker - no stutter
This is weird, since the Bluedio T3 I had works fine from my old HTC 10 phone. I switched to V20 since I had charging issues with my HTC 10.
I chose V20 since it has lots of PROS and I'm a music lover.
Please help.. thanks.
I've been using the LG G6 for nearly a week now, and everything worked well. I have 4 different Bluetooth devices paired with the phone, a couple headphones, a UE Speaker, my Moto 360. When I paired the phone with my 2016 Acura RDX, the bluetooth app crashes on the phone, and the phone then goes into a bluetooth crashing loop. So every few seconds after the phone restarts the BT, it crashes again and again. I have had no such issues with any other Android phone (Pixel XL, S6, Nexus, Note 7). I tried unpairing the phone with the car and pairing again. I removed all other phones from my cars BT device list. I tried clearing the BT App cache. Rebooting the phone. Nothing worked so far. What is even stranger about it, is that when I go to the G6 settings, and turn off "Media Audio" and use just the "Call Audio", it works just phone. As soon as I turn back on "Media Audio", it immediately crashes and starts the cycle again. I use Google Music for my service. Not sure what I can do to fix this issue.
I have the same problem but only in youtube..when i watch something and then dissmis it blutooth crashes and then it reconects again but no force closes after that..until next video and so on..even when i hear music and stop it crashes for one time and thats it..really strange i hope lg will fix that soon
Could be something going on with the hardware. I'd exchange the phone.
Having the same issue with a 2015 MDX. Haven't found a solution yet.
When playing music to a BT speaker, it seems to require a skip of tracks before the music starts playing. After that, it see fine. The MDX, though, it all cuts out - both phone and music.

I drove a 2013 Civic for awhile and had issues with the blue tooth in that car. I wonder if it's a Honda thing. Volkswagon's blue tooth sucks as well, that and their overhead dome light assemblies squeak and rattle - that drove me nuts. Toyota's blue tooth just works.

Tested the G6's bluetooth on a 2015 Acura TLX and it has the same issue as the OP. Shows BT connected, turn on Google Music, start a song and Bluetooth crashes. Bluetooth eventually restarts and song plays for a second and crashes again. No solution found.
There was another user on Reddit that stated he had the same issue and restarted his phone a bunch of times and it fixed the issue. This however did not work for me.
For reference, I have a 2014 Chevy Malibu, and while I haven't experienced the same issue with bluetooth crashing, I do not get a steady stream through the car's audio. It seems to be isolated to LG; I had the exact same issue with my G5, and it's been no different with the G6. I also have a Samsung GS7 and it streams through bluetooth just fine. Based on what I've seen here and in other threads, I believe this is a software issue that LG can fix.

I've not had this issue with my Bluetooth on my mazda cx5. Or my audio receiver at home. Interesting. Mayne update your cars infotainment system to the latest version?
I've used mine with 2014 eXcelon and 2006 Alpine with kca-100BT adapter and neither has had issues.
Bluetooth is a highly inconsistent technology. Even when devices supposedly support the same profiles, sometimes their Bluetooth stacks or hardware just don't work well together.
Hopefully future updates will fix this issue for you, or, as lg3FTW mentioned, maybe there's a firmware update for your stereo.

I think it is. I just got the LG G6 and I'm having the same issues. I did some research and it seems the problem is mostly occurring on the Honda/Acura cars.
This is incredibly frustrating. Hoping someone found a fix or an update comes soon to solve the problem. Not being able to use the hands free bluetooth is a dealbreaker for me.
I got the new update today (H87310d) and it did not fix the issue. In the meantime I have signed up for Spotify as I cannot use the Google music app in my car.
I have found one odd way to get to it work. If I leave the phone far away from the car where it is still able to connect. The connection will be fuzzy but I found the app will not crash.
I think it's most likely an issue of BT4.2 trying to connect with older BT versions... Honda probably uses the old 3 or 2 even on their devices.
I've had similar issues with other phones and with other stereos as well, my old S4 had this issue with a 2009 JVC head unit with BT2.0, streaming would just not work properly, if I switched to my other car with a 2014 Kenwood HU with BT 3.0 I had no issues.
Having same issue with my Pioneer head unit. I have two of them in 2 different vehicles and the same issue happens. For some reason with Google music it's worse than others. I can play music fine but if I switch to another station of track the BT crashes and reconnects than keeps playing again. Same happened with Spotify but less frequently. I called LG and they were no help. With my Lgg4 I had some BT issues in the past with some firmware Versions but not this bad. With the latest version it was working fine With these head units. I really like LG phones but hate the bugs they sometimes have. Hopefully they will fix soon. Wish they could just get a log and figure out the issue.

Or, I dunno, let us unlock the bootloader and the community here could fix it once we had root
Isn't there a way to contact LG regarding this? This IS a defect. Surely there has to be a way to record/log this for them to fix.
I just recently purchased a LG G6 and I am also having connection problems with Bluetooth. I drive a 13 Honda Accord and while playing music the app shuts off then back on and repeats this process.
FYI I was having the same crashing problem streaming via Play Music with my G6 to my 2105 TLX. However if I stream using DoubleTwist bluetooth works great. So my problem seems to be isolated to the Google Play app. Odd.

O and my phones less than a week old
I use some bluetooth in ear headphones for listening music. They work great with a bunch of phones but if I connect them to my a1, the connection seems pretty unstable, if I put the phone in my pocket it cuts out a lot, is that a bug that others could reproduce? Is there any solution?
I can confirm somewhat unstable Bluetooth connection. Audio cuts out when phone is in pocket and facing away from Bluetooth speaker. Connection seems stable to mi band 2 though
I'm connected with my Wear 2 watch and so far the connection is stable
Same here. The sound just shatters sometimes. When I cover the phone in the pocket it cuts off completly. Wonder if this isnt another problem of the harsh xiaomi policy of battery saving...
bluetooth unstable
I can confirm the issue here as well. Bluetooth drops on a regular base with my bmw car kit, sometimes requiring a phone reboot to solve. I'm on the october update & I can't remember having the issue on the september update (for the couple of days that I was on that update);
I surely hope it will be solved as it is very annoying for business use!
Yes i did notice the issue just yesterday when i connected it to my bluetooth headset. I noticed the disturbance first when my index finger covered the top and top right edge of the phone. But when i tried to put the phone in the pocket there was a much longer hiss sound.. I did not have this issue with any other phone and did not test my bluetooth headset before October patch so can't say if i had it in the previous patches. But to me it looks like that it happens when the edge that has the bluetooth hardware is obstructed..
Same problem with link skoda
Bad connection in Peugeot
Just got the phone last week, I've noticed when you stream audio through the car media system it will cut out a few times when you first connect it. It will stay connected eventually, but is very frustrating when you start driving as you don't know if the bluetooth link will drop altogether and that's a big problem if you need to take a call while driving. Not sure if this was an issue before the latest update as the phone updated as soon as I got it (1GB update) but if this is a problem a software fix can't sort out I'll be getting rid of the phone. It's a great phone, but if the bluetooth streaming in the car doesn't work properly it's no good to me.
I have similar problem with my Pioneer car audio. Sometimes is not transferring the voice ... I hear nothing from the speakers. Also the music is not stopping. I hope the bug is software and they will fix that, because it is important for me.
Please, report also in the official app.
I have also the Xiaomi Mi A1 and however I have the last firmware (Build N2G4H.7.10.30) there are similar Bluetooth issues.
The problem is really that the sound is cutting when connecting to a bluetooth sound device.
When I am using the Honor 6X, or iPhone 6s, it is working perfectly. So my bluetooth device (Logitech ConferenceCam Connect) is OK
Investing the problems with the bluetooth connection on the Mi A1, I have noticed several things :
1. When my Wifi (the wifi on my Mi A1) is disabled, the Bluetooth is working fine, whith no cut
2. When my Wifi is connected to a 5Ghz router, the Bluetooth also is working fine, with no cut
3. When my Wifi is connected to a 2.4Ghz router (or Access Point), the Bluetooth is working bad, and the communication between the Mi A1 phone and the bluetoot device has some cuts.
It seems that there is an interaction between the Bluetooth and Wifi management on the Mi A1.
This serious maIfunction is very frustrating and makes me regret the purchase of my Xiaomi Mi A1.
By the way, the speedtest reports of the Wifi connection with the Xiaomi Mi A1 are very poor, comparing to my Honor 6X or iPhone 6s.
Waiting for any correction or fix or workaround (hoping it is just software issue) of this malfunction of the Xiaomi Mi A1.

Mi A1 Bluetooth Pairing Problem Fix
Tried pairing phone with several Bluetooth devices and could not see any initially and then I was able to pair with a speaker, a TV and a phone, however, one speaker still would not pair. After reading another forum someone suggested to push and hold the blinking pairing button on device (speaker) for 10 seconds and then the device showed up on the phone. Blue tooth connection successful. Hope this helps!
Some issue with my Toyota Corolla (2017) bluetooth. Sometimes the music will stutter when the music is paused for any reason (Google Assistant Voice command), and will not stop stuttering unless I switch the car unit to radio then bluetooth again, and the audio metadata from Spotify will not always update to the current song on the head unit display.
My previous phone (Nexus 6P) and my wife's phone (Moto Z Play) are not affected by this problem.
I'm currently on Android 8.0.0, January 2018 security update.
Software independent, hardware only malfunction???
Having numerous issues with my Bluetooth. Can't connect to my ford car at all, just says connecting then failed.
As well as this, it can't find my Amazon echo.
Works fine with me Bluetooth earphones though.
Did anyone find a solution?
I am facing another problem with my A1 connecting to the Bluetooth of my car (Opel Astra)
Pairing and phone calls are working fine, but I am unable to BROWSE for Music.
Somewhere I read it related to the Bluetooth AVRCP version. The M1 offers AVRCP 1.3, 1.4. 1.5 and 1.6 and none of them is working.
Using AVRCP 1.3 the menu item 'Browse Music' is greyed out, for the others (1.4, 1.5, 1,6) the option is available but no Music shows up.
Any idea?
Bluetooth headsets
It sounds like that whilst the Mi A1 is a fine device that's excellent value for money, it's Bluetooth implementation isn't perfect. It works fine in my car (Seat) but I've got a cheap pair of in-ear headphones and I too have the problem with the sound spluttering and breaking up unless the phone is on my shoulder. I'll try turning off Wi-Fi.
I've also got another Bluetooth over-ear headset and my Mi A1 won't even discover it. Not end of world.
I'm generally very happy with the Mi A1 - it's three years old nearly now and is still going strong. Battery isn't as good as when I bought it but can hardly complain about that. It still easily lasts a day with normal use and only struggles when I use it when tracking via GPS on a long walk.
When I connect the smartphone with the car via Bluetooth, the music is just intermittent suonds. How do I fix this?
I would like to know this too, anyone?
I started having this same issue after the last/first Tmobile update, before it was fine.
Same thing here. The music would either play through the phone's earpiece or sound like a call playing through the Bluetooth speaker. I read YouMail was a cause so I uninstalled and it still happened I force closed the phone app and it worked normally after that. The issue may definitely be from the T-Mobile update tho.
Yeah been having an issue with volume fading after initial connection, drives me nuts since I use the phone for GPS and music streaming. so I use the v30 for bt music and OnePlus for gps
I'm having an issue with the phone trying to automatically connect to a second Bluetooth device and begin playing music on it. This happened tonight while following behind my wife's car.
Every time we stopped at a light it would connect and I would loose audio in my vehicle and play in hers. No way to stop it connecting other than forget the device or turn off all the functions in that device settings.

I've been having the same issue since I bought my T-Mobile 6T last year and am pulling out my hair trying to figure out how to fix it. I have a "GTA Car Kit" Bluetooth module installed in my '06 Mazda 3 and I use Android Auto with my phone docked in a CD slot mount to give me hands-free text messaging, navigation and music / audiobooks. My phone is also always connected to my android wear watch, so it's technically connected to two Bluetooth devices at once when I use it.
The problem is that audio playback via Pandora, Google Music and my audiobook app that plays on-device mp3's intermittently stutters or skips. It happens immediately sometimes, other times it will work perfectly for half of my commute and then start stuttering every few seconds until I finally just turn off the music/audiobook completely.
I've tried:
Turning bluetooth on and off
Turning my car radio on and off
Changing the developer mode settings for Bluetooth AVRCP Version, Codec, Sample Rate, Playback quality etc.
Clearing storage/cache for Bluetooth
Switching to the international version ROM for the device
Once I got the Oxygen OS v10 update I really though the problem was fixed, but after a few days of working fine it started skipping again.
Does anyone have any idea what's causing this or other things I can try?
[EDIT] I found one more new thing to try on the OnePlus 6T forums https://forums.oneplus.com/threads/bluetooth-stuttering-solved.1076196/
I'll give this a try and report back
