Bluetooth Issue ? - Galaxy S6 Edge+ Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

i bought a galaxy s6 edge+ yesterday and bought a samsung wireless Level U headphone. i tried to connect it with bluetooth but it was not work. i tried level U on LG G3 and IP6 its work fine. i tried agains on galaxy s6 and s6 edge+ but its not work.
galaxy s6, s6 edge and s6 edge+ have problem with bluetooth ?

I've had bluetooth problems with mine connecting to my car. It will pair and then after 2-3 connections, it will be unable to connect and I have to repair it again. Might be a connected issue that will be fixed in the future.

Do you use a smartwatch too ? There is a known issue with samsung devices when it is connected to Android Wear. Sometimes my bluebux x would stop working and if I press volume up/down, it will start again. Found out that it happens due to Android Wear app. I disconnected the watch from AndroidWear app and never had that problem again!

I am having trouble with my Bluebud X too. They will suddenly stop working even though the music still shows as playing (but it does not play out of the phone speaker either). I have to turn bluetooth off and on, and reconnect again with the headset to make them work (I have not tried the volume trick - will try that next time). I have Android Wear installed but only because I have a Pebble watch - I am not connecting to an Android Wear device. Do I have to uninstall Android Wear? This is a pain - I have not had this issue with any previous phones, including Note 4.

Our Bluetooth range is dropped down.
Keep your device closer to Bluetooth receiver.
It's bug....they will fix it later

I have the phone in my pocket so it really cannot be much closer to the headphones. If that range is too far then it is a serious bug! I also experience regular wifi dropouts where the wifi disconnects and then reconnects for no reason.
These two problems are frustrating as they affect the basic functionality of the phone.

Try this... Uninstall your Android Wear app (since you do not use it) and goto Pebble App and disconnect your pebble from the app. Now try with your bluebud x. It should work fine. These new phones have some issue with multi Bluetooth connections..

So I have been trying this for a while now and the issue still happens. The music will just stop playing in the bluebuds for no apparent reason. The bluetooth connection shows 'connected' and the music player shows it is playing (i.e. triangle) but the player is not advancing (i.e. time on track is stuck) and there is no sound from anywhere. Any more ideas? Thanks.

In my case, the player never stopped advancing. It was only the sound transmission which wasn't working and once I click on volume up/down, it would start working again till next time. For me, it was definitely the Android Wear. Once I disconnected, it would work just fine. Try using a different bluetooth headset, if you still see a problem, you can ask for a replacement to Jaybird. I've heard they're good with their warranty!

Bluetooth connection with LG G2 - what a mess !!

I came from the Samsung galaxy S2.
With the S2, when I turned ON the BT toggle at the notification bar, I would immediately get a screen where I could choose which BT device I would like to connect to. With the LG G2, I get no such screen. What a bummer, I thought this was part of Android...
In any case, this is the least of my problems, since the LG G2 has a much more severe one - unreliable Bluetooth connection.I think I got to the root of this problem though:
When you connect a device to the LG G2 using BT, you can choose two options for this device: "Phone audio" and/or "Media audio" (A2DP). You can tick both, or just one.
When I tick only one of them, I get perfect stable connection (but then I can only use it for phone, or for music, not both...). The problem is when I tick both of them. What happen is that when a call comes in, or when a call is finished, the G2 has trouble getting back to "Media audio" (A2DP), and usually the BT disconnects. So, the trouble seems to be in the change between "Media audio" and "phone audio", when the G2 is required to make this change, most chances a BT disconnection will result.
I have this exact problem with two totally different devices (both of them worked great with the Galaxy S2), these two devices are:
1. Pioneer DEH-P980BT car CD receiver unit.
2. Sony Ericsson MW600 wireless headset.
I have the LG G2 D802.
You can long press the Bluetooth icon in the power bar to access this screen. This works better for me since I always have my Bluetooth on for the car, but need quick access for my Creative Bluetooth speaker.

My bt is flawless call comes in it switches to phone audio then switches back to media after call has ended, never had any random disconnects. D800
The disconnections are not random, it happens when the phone needs to switch between media audio and phone audio.
Maybe this is a problem with the D802 only?

havent experienced these issues here so far myself!
No problem either, transition between audio and calls then back to audio operate smoothly (D802).
No disconection problem either.
But I do find the Bluetooth audio volume very low (compared to my previous iPhone 4 on the same car audio system), as reported by other users.
i have sa,e error. no solve
I'm having a similar issue. I have a uconnect 430 system in my Jeep, and every time I end a call, the bluetooth audio streaming playback doesn't quit on me, but continues at a slightly lower pitch, and slightly slower pace. Really bizarre, and I can correct it by disconnecting the phone and powering off the car stereo, then reconnecting everything. Haven't really tried to troubleshoot just yet but saw your post and thought I'd chime in.
I connect to my 2011 Hyundai Genesis Coupe. I have no connection issues, the phone switches from Wifi to Bluetooth well. If a call comes in I can answer and talk through the car, when I end the call it will switch back.
Some issues I have noticed that are different from my HTC One X:
1. When I switch to the Bluetooth input the audio plays then stops and I have to hit play on the car controls.
2. The audio clips and distorts periodically. I believe this is related to the bitrate of the audio, and may be on the Hyundai side. I mention it because it only occurred now that I use the G2.
3. The car controls will stop working seemingly at random, I have to use my phone to skip or pause. First world problems.
Edit: ATT D800 Rooted, CleanROM XE, had same issues on stock.
TMo D801, 14 Toyota Corolla, no problems at all with it.
BT audio works very well with my car also (D801), one thing that annoys me is that it automatically starts playing music upon BT connection. Is there a way of making it so that I have to do it manually?

I think a lot off people have old bluetooth equiptment that might not play nice with new. what version bluetooth does the equiptment have you are pairing with and are there any newer versions? Even though bluetooth is standardised if you search you will find often certain equiptment doesnt play nice with it, hence the supperted devices.
tiguy, Knowing not all devices have this is, is important info isnt it? Of course I have different equiptment, so it may not be representative.

At the moment I use my earpiece which is the Platronics Voyager Legend. It works flawless. I haven't done a car Bluetooth sync but from what I've read on the Web with my earpiece and other phones, i was very impressed that i have excellent call quality, sound & range when i listen to music directly on the earpiece

Bluetooth Disconnecting Randomly

When I'm in my car and my phone is connected to my car's bluetooth, it occasionally disconnects for no reason. It happens sometimes when I'm not on a call and has also happened twice in the last two days when on a call (not very cool).
I've had my car for 5 years and gone through several phones without an issue so I can only assume it's the phone not the car.
Anyone else having this issue?

I've seen it happen once in a while w/ my Huawei Watch. I've noticed that the BT icon completely disappears from the status bar when it happens despite Quick Settings showing it as on. Tends to resolve itself after a few seconds, so I'm not sure what's going on.
If you're running Marshmallow, that could be the issue. I have connection issues with my car since upgrading to Marshmallow on my Moto X Pure. I had to:
- delete the all phones from the car.
- reset my Bluetooth on the phone (delete all connected devices)
- reboot the phone
- reconnect phone to car
It seems to work.
I had an issue where iHeart and Pandora would disconnect and connect off and on until it completely disconnect streaming to my Kenwood headunit. I would get a looking for connection message. What was going on was that my Edge was connected via wifi at my house. It was picking up xfinity wifi hotspots off and on until there were no more in range. For some reason it wouldn't switch to mobile data. So now I turn off wifi before I leave the house and the problem is gone.

I think I found a solution, go to app manager -> click more (upper right) -> click reset app preferences. Didn't have any problem in last 2 days.
not sure how will this help...but i had the "1.FM Radio" app on my phone for internet radio...and ive noticed that once i removed it bluetooth stopped dropping and connection was stable...for some reason i believe this app was the culprit.
Bluetooth is working fine now both streaming and calls...no drops ! Yaaaaay !
Try it guys...if you have this app...remove it !
I have had nothing but problems with the bluetooth on my G7 edge and my wife G6. It randomly disconnects from my cars bluetooth and disconnects from my Gear S2 watch every 10-15 minutes. It's annoying with the watch because I keep thinking I have a message but it's just vibrating to let me know it disconnected. I had a Nexus 6 for four months and never had a single problem with the bluetooth. It sucks because I really like the camera on this phone. What a POS.

You call it a POS, while saying there are some things (camera) you like. Obviously it's not a POS if you like it.
I've not had issues with my bluetooth, it does disconnect from my car once in a while, but only when I'm not actually playing anything through bluetooth. My Gear s2 stays connected as for my bluetooth headphones.

It's not just this phone, I have a 2015 Subaru WRX STI and sometimes it will be fine for days but other times it can happen a couple times on an hour drive, where music will just stop playing, my head unit locks up until I toggle bluetooth on my phone. This happened with my S7 Edge, Note 5, HTC 10, Nexus 6P, and more though.

Bluetooth Audio Stuttering with Spotify

Hey guys,
I was just wondering if anyone who has the LG V20 in their hands is also experiencing any Bluetooth Audio (A2DP) audio stuttering or skipping?
I have the AT&T version that I got early through preorder and when I am listening to music on my Ford Sync 3 in my car it is skipping and stuttering like crazy. It doesn't always do it but when it does, it is nonstop.
Not sure if anyone has suggested fixes... It does it both screen on and screen off. I don't think it's sleep related.

Could be on to something... Both Ford Sync 3 and UConnect are both made using BlackBerry owned QNX software. I wonder if something isn't jiving right between the two.
Because I have Plantronics BackBeat Sense and LG Tone Platinum headphones and neither have any issues with Spotify. Only has an issue in my car.
I even went as far as to master reset my car stereo to see if that helped. Could have something to do with the Spotify AppLink app that runs when in the car but not on a regular headset.
Try closing some apps. Also does Spotify have a cache or buffer option you can make bigger? Other than those two problems it could be signal from cellular or Bluetooth interference.
I have closed apps but have not messed with cache or buffer. I also see that track time doesnt count on screen with uconnect via Bluetooth some of the time. Truck is less than a month old and updated. Worked with my iPhone 6 plus, with the exception of album art and not being able to choose USB vs Bluetooth if both were connected. The LG isn't even detected via USB (most likely a USB C issue). I am in an airport right now and hopefully my rental will have Bluetooth to test out another connection.
I am having an issue controlling spotify when using Bluetooth in my Jetta. I can't skip tracks or control at all from my cars touch screen or controls on the steering wheel. Never had this issue with other android devices. Not sure what to do to fix but very frustrating! I have tried uninstalling spotify, wiping and repairing the phone with the car....not sure what else to do. The controls worked only the first day I had the phone. I have smart settings turned off as I thought that may have been interfering.
This is going to sound crazy, but...
I'm having the skipping/stuttering issue in my Lincoln MKC with Sync 3, but ONLY when stopped at a red light or stop sign. When driving above 20 MPH it works perfectly. This is happening in Spotify and my podcast app, and all files are stored on the phone, so it's not a slow cell connection. I just replaced my Note 7 with the V20 and the Note never had any bluetooth issues, so I'm assuming it's an LG issue that hopefully can be fixed with a firmware update.

You are not crazy. I thought I was because I have this exact same problem. I use Google Play Music, but when I am stopped (or going under about 5mph) the Bluetooth stutters. Over 5mph and its flawless. I have version 2.2 of the Sync 3 software. I am using the LG V20 and that is the only device I have tried.
Have you been able to find a solution? This is the weirdest thing I've ever experienced.

I just purchased the V20 on Friday and I've had this streaming issue every time I get into my car! I have a 2017 MKZ and it's only in the car. I have an LG bluetooth headset that it doesn't skip with. I paired my husband's Beats and it doesn't skip there either--ONLY in the car. I just read about someone having issues at a lower speed--I haven't been on the freeway yet, so I cannot attest to low speeds, but it's interesting. I'm a computer geek and I'm stumped! I paired it to a Sony soundbar in Best Buy today and it didn't skip AT ALL! Grrrrr!

I was running errands in Houston, close to the house, so no chance for a freeway trip yet to see if it mirrors your 20mph issue. Please reply to this forum if you end up finding a fix!

It's not necessarily the phone or car, Spotify has some terrible programmers. In Oct there was a bug that stopped Bluetooth buttons from working and it took 3 releases to fix it.

Stuttering on Bluedio T3 Turbine Headphones
I already tried all the possible solutions from the internet. Below is the summary:
Safe Mode - still stutter
Battery Optimization OFF for Bluetooth and Music App - still stutter
Wifi OFF - still stutter
Clear data of Bluetooth and T3 Headphones - still stutter
All other bluetooth earphone or speaker - no stutter
This is weird, since the Bluedio T3 I had works fine from my old HTC 10 phone. I switched to V20 since I had charging issues with my HTC 10.
I chose V20 since it has lots of PROS and I'm a music lover.
Please help.. thanks.

Problem with Bluetooth audio in the car

When I connect the smartphone with the car via Bluetooth, the music is just intermittent suonds. How do I fix this?
I would like to know this too, anyone?
I started having this same issue after the last/first Tmobile update, before it was fine.
Same thing here. The music would either play through the phone's earpiece or sound like a call playing through the Bluetooth speaker. I read YouMail was a cause so I uninstalled and it still happened I force closed the phone app and it worked normally after that. The issue may definitely be from the T-Mobile update tho.
Yeah been having an issue with volume fading after initial connection, drives me nuts since I use the phone for GPS and music streaming. so I use the v30 for bt music and OnePlus for gps
I'm having an issue with the phone trying to automatically connect to a second Bluetooth device and begin playing music on it. This happened tonight while following behind my wife's car.
Every time we stopped at a light it would connect and I would loose audio in my vehicle and play in hers. No way to stop it connecting other than forget the device or turn off all the functions in that device settings.

I have a "GTA Car Kit" Bluetooth module installed in my '06 Mazda 3 and I use Android Auto with my phone docked in a CD slot mount to give me hands-free text messaging, navigation and music / audiobooks. My phone is also always connected to my android wear watch, so it's technically connected to two Bluetooth devices at once when I use it.
The problem is that audio playback via Pandora, Google Music and my audiobook app that plays on-device mp3's intermittently stutters or skips. It happens immediately sometimes, other times it will work perfectly for half of my commute and then start stuttering every few seconds until I finally just turn off the music/audiobook completely.
I've tried:
Turning bluetooth on and off
Turning my car radio on and off
Changing the developer mode settings for Bluetooth AVRCP Version, Codec, Sample Rate, Playback quality etc.
Clearing storage/cache for Bluetooth
Switching to the international version ROM for the device
Once I got the Oxygen OS v10 update I really though the problem was fixed, but after a few days of working fine it started skipping again.
Does anyone have any idea what's causing this or other things I can try?
[EDIT] I found one more new thing to try on the OnePlus 6T forums https://forums.oneplus.com/threads/bluetooth-stuttering-solved.1076196/
I'll give this a try and report back

Bluetooth on 10.3.1 is unstable

I've installed 10.3.1 and have a Samsung S3 Gear connected usually. I have trouble connecting to my car and keeping a stable connection. The connection drops out from the car. Is this a known or common issue with 10.3.1? I then tried to put the phone on speaker and then the phone keeps trying to send audio to a bluetooth device and won't just stay on speaker. anyone have similar issues? know any fixes?

No problems here, I use a Bluetooth FM device in my work van and it works fine.
I also have a Jabra 65t set that work great,
never had any problems through many updates both stable and beta.

I have Jabra 65t as well and they work great. It's the vehicle Bluetooth in the Nissan that has been really sketchy I guess. I'll look into that as needing to be addressed then.
The other odd part is that even after I hit speakerphone, the phone tries to revert to Bluetooth.

No issues for me. Phone stays connected to my Fitbit no issue, and streaming music in the car and over earbuds works great for me.
No problems also for me
I have no problem connecting, bluetooth works properly. But I think that the bluetooth is switching on late as if it was turning on faster before, I made a clean installation.
i had a clean install, i did clear cache for the bluetooth system app and decided to just move on and have since installed lineage. bluetooth works like a champ with lineage now.
