How to install
1. First go to official release post and download these files:
1. XposedInstaller_3.0_alpha4.apk
2. xposed-uninstaller-20150831-arm64.zip (in case we do something stupid.)
3. xposed-v73-sdk22-arm64.zip

2. Flash TWRP 2.8.7.0 thought by SP_Flash_Tool_v5.1524(150817) or via flashify (recommand) from Play Store
(I'll upload the TWRP 2.8.7.0 for Redmi Note 2 later when I get home )
3. Flash SuperSU from official Chainfire release post at XDA
4. Reboot into system and install XposedInstaller_3.0_alpha4.apk
5. Go into TWRP and flash xposed-v73-sdk22-arm64.zip
6. Reboot, you will have to wait about 5-10 minute to fully reboot into system

I am having issues installing TWRP and have tried five different ways.
Is this is working on Miui? As far as I know Xposed is only for aosp based roms.

Replace from 5.9.17/18 version the following files: (files added "Xposed_files_from_5.9.17_18.rar")

what will a xposed installer do? just wonder, I am new to this. I have my Note2 flashed with TWRP and 5.9.18
With the Xposed Installer you will get Xposed framework on your device.
This framework allows you to install Xposed modulus (like GravityBox, MultiWindow (<-? not sure about the names anymore....) and a lot more).
And with those modules you are able to customize your device a bit

xposed and xprivacy are my go to programs.
as per TWRP you have to wiggle it, I just did the update from update and just kept trying to get into recovery- let go the pwr button after the buzz helps but it took me 10 reboots before it finally took to get into twrp.

This method works for me on my redmi2 running 5.9.24 rom, also worked on my redmi note 4G running the xiaomi.eu multi languages 5.9.24. Good.

Nandroid backup your 5.9.17 dev rom, copied out the 4 files to external sd card. Then flashed 5.9.24 and Replaced the four files in #6 in this thread, worked very good on 4G note and redmi 2. You needed to set permission after changed the four files then reboot.

How about GravityBox in Xposed?
If ur phone is rooted(if not go through zenfone 5 forums ) install a xposed module called gravity lp from that u can customize a lot of thing .i.e. (Almost everything in status bar,notification drawer ,etc...)
OR
the second option is to install a Resurrection remix rom it has a lot of customization features also it comes prerooted
Just go through android development section to install resurrection ROM.

if you have rooted the .78 stock lollipop then install xposed and download the module "flat style bar indicators" it replaces the statusbar completely and thus anything in the statusbar can me modified
these people are right, install xposed then install gravity[LP] and have fun.

Did you have to wipe internal storage? Mine is looping on Mi logo after flashing every partition except internal storage.
Edit : Working fine now after doing Factory Reset in Recovery.

Miuipro have a flashable zip too. I'm running it now. Everything works great but can't get fingerprint reader to work. Anyone know of a fix?

If you are rooted, have TWRP, you can flash xiaomi.eu or miuipro from recovery. I went from xiaomi.eu 7.20 to miuipro 8.14 to xiaomi.eu 8.17 without wipes.

Only thing I dont like with xiaomi.eu vs miuipro is that the new animated icons isnt included. In official and miuipro, playstore and photos, for example is animated in the launcher.
I'm facing controller game detected always. How to turn off. I try different keyboard and whatsoever it failed. Why this ROM is detecting me always using a controller. How to fix it.

You must use de default theme for the animations work
For mi it's working with xiaomi.eu rom

You have to be rooted.
Install substratum apk.
Install some theme apk and try to apply it in substratum, be careful it's possible to get bootloop.

i tried, not bootloop, but themes was not working..
i tried swift dark and choose OMS and also Lineage.

yea when you apply theme you must choose those settings. i cant get any dark theme to work with substratum and this mi a1.

it says substratum legacy.. i just installed it on google play store.. i cant get any theme to work. and i have stock rom with rooted magisk..

Well I had an Xperia phone and substratum was working on that, and unlike A1 that was a custom Android ROM made by Sony. Be sure you install Legacy versions of themes and you don't use any substratum related magisk modules ( look again and make sure that module is disabled)

I deleted that module and try other themes too.. Something still wrong..

Don't use Substratum! Got into bootloop! had reflash firmware.
Substratum works fine for me...

Uhm... Almost, i think pixel 2 experience module doesn't have ability to put google play services to doze, and doesn't have finger print shutter

New version is uploaded, just added pixel 2 bootanimation, boot animation is tested in redmi 4x code name santoni, pls uninstall the previous version before flash the new version

Hey bro question how did you flash the latest? Did you uninstall the previous build? Mine its working good, of you r using the previous build, uninstall the prevoius build using magiskmanager, then flash the new build, the terminal says that previous version detected, it will automatically uninstall the previous build, but didn't install the latest you need to flash it again tru magisk manager cheers!

I removed it from magisk. Then I rebooted into TWRP and flashed new one
