You can't. Because the new data was writen to the Data Partition when you reset and it overwrite formated Data.

Glad you figured it out :good:
I am experiencing the same issue. what kind of reset did you do? Data, Dalvik cache, etc? Or just factory reset?
Did you have to re-flash your ROM?
I'm going to return my nexus 6p, because of display issues and I wanna make sure if everything is deleted completely after a hard reset, so the existing data can not be recovered with data recovery tools. How do I do this?

Flash a factory image. Then do a full format of the data partition. There is no way to completely wipe it out without a serious data destruction tool. A bit overkill if you ask me though. Unless you work for the CIA.
The phone is the Galaxy S8 G950FD (exynos). Today I have tried to root it using TWRP, but I didnt make a backup of my files, so I have not wiped my data in TWRP. The phone would turn on normally but it show the message about verification failed and asked to do a factory reset, but I didnt. Then I have flashed the original ROM though odin, but only the AP (about 5,1GB). Now the phone boots up and everything is fine, but it is factory reseted. It only show 10GB of total space, so I think my data is stored in another partition. There is a way to recover this data?
If you did a factory reset already, I don't think you will be able to recover your files anymore.
However, you should check by using a Data recovery App.

It is normal. Data encryption will encrypt all data from hard disk so after reset you can't retrieve any on the data. Encryption comes in handy for selling mobiles or giving to someone else to use after reset. They can't retrieve any of the data previously stored in your phone.
