Hi guys,
I have been reading similar threads and trying to find a solution but could not find what could help and ran into other issues. Hope someone can help me fix this.
I was trying to flash a custom ROM. had the device unlocked and installed twrp using adb.
It was a mistake to not back up. I tried to flash the firmware + extendedUI rom + magisk. Only magisk gave some error.
tried to reboot and got stuck in bootloop. Entered Twrp tried to do it again so wiped data, system, cache and then realised my folder with the rom disapeared. So now no OS and not sure what to do.
I was trying to use adb sideload to push the new zips on the device but the sideload just disconnects at 8% Understood that might drivers might be at fault. . Been trying to find and update drivers and might have done some mistakes there, as chose to update unknown device automatically with device manager and now it disappeared as well.
I read about recovering with Miflashtool but got confused whether thats the right way.
I would prefer to install a custom rom like the ExtendedUI or AOSPextended.

The zip files are to big to push them through adb sideload.
Just connect the cellphone to the pc while in twrp and mount otg

Hi!
First I tell you how I recently messed up my LG G2 D802.
I hadn't had a custom rom for ages and now I wanted to have one (This wasn't the first time. I've done this a lot earlier). I had always had root access, but not custom recovery. So the first thing was to install one and I chose to download Rom Manager from Google Play, and then install ClockWorkMod. So, when I was installing the custom recovery I came up with a problem: something went wrong during the installation (I have no idea why). When I booted the device, white letters and numbers appeared on the top left of the screen, saying something like: "boot certification error" and numbers like "[780] [800]" and so on. The screen went black and the phone didn't load the OS. So I was shocked of course because I had never had such a problem.
So, desperate for trying everything to find the solution, I tried tens of ways to try to fix the problem. Finally I read about thing called SRKTool. So I used it and ended up having TWRP on my device, and no OS at all. I tried to flash CM12 and CM12.1 (downloaded from the official site) but nothing works out. TWRP says that flashing the ROM is succesful but when rebooting the system it doesn't load the OS but it comes back to TWRP Recovery mode - WHATEVER I DO. I can't enter the Download -mode at all. I tried hard reseting (Power + Vol - keys), but once again it boots to the TWRP. I can't understand why the TWRP fails to flash the ROM even though it's saying the process was successful. Or maybe this problem is much more internal - and permanent.
After tens of XDA developers' threads I'm writing this here because I'm in need of help. I want to bring my G2 to back in life. I'm out of ideas. Can you help me? I tried to flash the stock firmware but guess what happened? The installation failed, and the device booted back to TWRP. So all I'm able to do is to use the TWRP Recovery. I appreciate your help. Thank you.
(Ps. I'm sorry if I break the rules by writing a new thread. My problem just seems to be so unique that I couldn't find help anywhere.)
If you have access to twrp than you can do what ever is needed
what twrp version douy you have?
enabel MTP, so you can copy from PC

The solution is easy. Download the stock rom for your model and install it with otg cable. The reason cm12 is not booted is because you need jb bootloader or caf bootstacks.

The current version is 2.8.7.3. Should I try other versions?
Did you solve the issue? Or is it still not allowing you to get into your F/W?

Hi!
I tried to install TWRP version 2.6.6.3, but it fails to flash it so I'm stuck with the version 2.8.7.3. All I'm able to enter is just the recovery mode. I can't enter the download mode so I can't flash the stock firmware.
Currently I'm out of ideas. I can't flash any OS, the TWRP fails everytime and creates errors.
Try flash bumped kernel like lp dorimanx then flash bumped bootstak then lp rom like cloudy or stock. Or google this: lg g2 unbrickable now xda ...that work for me
Hi all,
I need your help - I installed the CM13 official, but I'm not happy with it and want to go back to CyanogenOS (Stock). I already downlaoded several files, but the sideload fails with "incompatible file system" even after factory reset.
My guess is that the CM13 bootloader needs to be downgraded, but I don't know how to do that. But that guess may be wrong....
Any help appreciated - device not working right now except for recovery & fastboot.
Have you tried with qfil?

Just download the cm-12.1-YOG4PAS3OH-ham-signed-fastboot.zip and extract the recovery. Download cm-12.1-YOG4PAS3OH-ham-signed.zip too. Flash the COS stock recovery with fastboot. Then boot your phone up and do an adb reboot recovery. Go to adb sideload mode and do an adb sideload cm-12.1-YOG4PAS3OH-ham-signed.zip in Terminal or cmd. Wait until it's finished. You should be back on stock rom. To download the file just google for Cyanogen OS support. You will find the files to download.

Good morning, I go to ask for help, I tell you.
My ZUK Z1 from "origin" 5.0 or 5.1 (I do not have it in front right now) and with a recovery of CM, when installing with flashify a TWRP, a version 3.0 .... a very curious thing happened to me. It tells me that it is successfully installed, but not only has CM recovery been deleted, but it has not installed the TWRP ...
I tried to restart in recovery mode and, of course not having it, it is a step that is skipped and restarted completely.
I have not tried with ADB or anything like that, I wanted to do it directly with the mobile but I am seeing that there is no way ...
It may be that if I install with flashify a TWRP 2.8 ... an older recovery, will it install?
Or should I look for a CM to install ...
Or the only solution is to do it through PC ...
A little light please. Thank you.
Will suggest you to flash twrp 3.1 with adb
Thanks for your quick answer, I´ll try to flash it with adb
Anyone knows where to get an older version of twrp, like 2.8.... ?
I would like to try again with flashify
Hey. I long story short - I have wiped OS, and the only thing that I can do is use fastboot and also install TWRP or stock recovery.
I found OxygenOS file, but cant install it as there are problems sideloading the file to the device, it looks like ADB drivers on PC are not recognizable. Can someone help me to get back OS? Thanks
Tried a lot of things but anyway nothing happens.

Push the OOS rom via usb to the phone, command: adb push namerom /scard
Next time check the drivers installation result first.
I wish I knew the reply above mine.
How I fixed my issue:
I installed the latest TWRP 3.1.1 in one of the installation guides on this forum for the OP5. Make sure you pick the version that is called the "last latest build". I was able to flash a full zip for 4.5.2 and it worked!

I had problems with ADB drivers, anyway got back to life:
1) booted to TWRP
2) adb push ".zip" /sdcard/.
3) tried installing it at TWRP, no success, so get back stock recovery and flashed the file there.
So my issue is resolved. thanks!
From the forum I followed these step to install magisk:
- Patched my boot.img of my current rom using Magisk Manager and flashed via fastboot
- After rebooting from fastboot it got stuck in recovery so had to wipe all data and it booted finally
- After booting up installed Magisk Manager and both Magisk and Magisk manager shows green tick (installed)
But at this stage, whenever I open Magisk, it shows a recommendation to install a ZIP, if I agree to install it, phone gets stuck in recovery again.
If I choose not to install recommended zip and click Install > Direct Install, phone gets stuck in recovery again anyway
Everytime it gets stuck I have to wipe all data and start all over again. Anyone else facing same issue? Any solution?
Really frustrated right now.
My current rom is : DAVINCIIN INDIAN Global_V11.0.2.0
Used latest magisk manager 7.4.0
I have official recovery, not TWRP.
Afraid that flashing TWRP now will brick it for good.
UPDATE: Got the solution here, thanks @pikchu289 !
Twrp up to now is the best way
But check some stuff first
1.unlock the boot loader
2.chech if the magisk zip/img is corrupted or any file
3.does your os support this magisk version
Any way you can flash twrp because many people had already tried it and tested it from installing zips/ROMs/mods etc.. to backup files/data or even fixing some corrupted files that caused boot loops manually
But there are various things that doesn't work usually such as restoring system partition but never worry about this because if any thing failed just use miflash tool to go back to official/stock rom
Edit : I think something's wrong with your magisk version number
I have no idea which rom youre using or why on earth you didn't install TWRP before messing around with the os but some roms dont work with latest magisk and you have to use a specific older version depends on your rom, and you can't update magisk at any point as long as youre on this version of the rom. Ive always used custom recovery and when facing an issue with magisk you just boot to recovery and flash the 'magisk uninstaller' zip (available on magisk xda page) and reboot and you get system. No need to start from scratch
Solve this solution
Dear stone_henge!
I found a method to solve this solution after a lot of days I tried a lot of times! As follows:
1. I back up my Internal storage to my PC
2. Format Data (In TWRP: Wipe -> Format Data)
3. I reboot back into recovery
4. I connected my device to PC via a cable and copy two files: "Magisk-v20.1.zip" and "Disable_Dm-Verity_ForceEncrypt_10.20.2019.zip" into Internal storage. Then rename "Disable_Dm-Verity_ForceEncrypt_10.20.2019.zip" to "Disable_ForceEncrypt.zip"
4. I flash "Magisk-v20.1.zip", then I reboot back into recovery again.
5. I flash "Disable_ForceEncrypt.zip" . Reboot to system and setting my phone like after flash a new room, and then I installed "MagiskManager-v7.4.0.apk"
It's working for me!
You can download "Disable_Dm-Verity_ForceEncrypt_10.20.2019.zip" here: https://forum.xda-developers.com/android/software/universal-dm-verity-forceencrypt-t3817389

Yeah some people prefer to have stock recovery and not mess with the phone that much... But while you seem to be an expert on what to do, maybe you could try be helpful a bit and provide with the guide of flashing TWRP on k20? Yeah i can obviously see there are guides already in the forum but I'm curious to know which one you followed.

None of these lines actually answer my problem or even help in any way. But thanks for enlightening me. -_-
It's true I did miss the part where you mentioned your rom but let's recap..
I did tell you you should install custom recovery.
I did tell you you should probably stick with the magisk version that works and not to update.
I did tell you you don't need to start over every time you get a problem caused by magisk and you can just flash magisk uninstaller and get your system back.
You don't see any of that helpful??? That's fine bc I got news for you.. THIS FORUM IS FREE! Do I have to research your problem for you and give you a step by step guide or else you whine about it?? Plus this is a public forum. People share the knowledge they have with everyone who reads it now and in the future and might get a piece of information out of it.
If you use the time you waste attacking people who used their time to try and help you (instead of saying thanks anyway like the rest of us do) into doing your research (like the rest of us do too) you'll probably be fine.

Sorry for being harsh... I understand you actually tried to help. It's actually really frustrating when facing a problem that has no straightforward solution.
Sorry mate.
finally i founded how to fix this issue without formating data of ur device
--just the flash the same the full custom rom or stock rom that u r using currently on . and boom restart. and ur issue fixed
Install a magisk zip without TWRP. TWRP takes too long. Instead use Aodin to flash a rom specific to your device version. Make sure it is not corrupted as well
