You could try an app called Invisible Protector. You can use it to lock your apps, but instead of the app showing up as locked it will show up w/ a FC error, and you can then use several different ways to access the locked app. And the only place the Protector app shows up is in the Widgets list. They also have one (Invisible Protector II) that doesn't show up at all. You have to dial a command to get to the settings.
For example I have mine setup so that when the error pops up it gives me an option to send an error report and in the next field I just enter my password and the app loads.

But there is administrator under settings but I can't get it setup

That administrator option under settings I believe is to enable administrator features to certain apps - for instance allow a find my phone app to enable the GPS without going through the warning dialog, or enable a wipe app to remotely wipe the entire device's memory without confirmations if you lose it.
Ok thanks that's to bad I would love to have a guest account

Thee is a developer asking for testers for just what you are asking for look in the bottom forum section for apps and themes

I think this is the thread
Use this with a app lock program.
That being said, there is no 'non-hackish' way to do that. While the kernel supports true multiuser, the rest of the OS doesn't. The Admin stuff in the settings is for locked-down devices integrated into corporate networks (i. e. you're only allowed to use apps approved by your boss and installed by your admin and your device gets wiped if you try to get around it... though it can be made less strict)
I also use an app to lock thing down. Only I know of
Sent from my AT100 using Tapatalk
The lockdown works via certain apps that install security hooks in your device -- basically giving them the ability to remote-wipe the device or do other funny stuff without your consent. The only app I know of that acually uses this is Junos Pulse, used to access Juniper SSL VPN networks (mostly in corporate or university settings), though I guess some of the 'remote admin' capabilities of antivirus tools use the same mechanisms.
The bottom line: Your app may actually use the mechanisms I described in my earlier post. If you want to check, see settings -> location & security -> device administrators.

I noticed this post on the Gtablet site. It looks to do what you are asking for. Read down the the last post on page 1. I have not tried it yet so cant verify whether it works or not.

Glad I wasn't the only one having this problem. Although it seems to have fixed itself, I tried logging into XBL (The windows app) yesterday and it worked fine

The solution is very simple - just change your country in control panel to any country which is supported (i.e. US) and you are good to go

unless your live ID isn't from said country and then it tells you to bugger off.
Apps works fine but the music app and a few other things that require a log in don't seem to work.

Okay...
Talkatone stores your Google password on their servers. I'm not comfortable with that. Not sure if it works with 2-factor authentication and a dedicated app password. Otherwise you could just set up a separate Google Voice account just for use with Talkatone, just in case someone harvests the passwords off their servers.
sipdroid/PBXes does the same thing if you go that route. This is kinda attractive because the native phone dialer supports SIP accounts natively, no need to install and use an extra app.
Meanwhile I'm staying with GrooveIP and Spare Phone. Can't say I'm impressed with their voice quality, but it's good enough.
I've been meaning to also try the Vonage app for free calls but didn't get around to it.
I use Vonage now because it use your real number, but it doesn't take incoming call.
I prefer GrooveIP over Talkatone after the latter cheat me out of some money when I paid for the one time ad removal and couldn't retrieve it afterward on another rom/device using the same account.

Talkatone uses app specific password.

It's more like the user chooses to use an app specific password, it's not a choice Talkatone makes. Not too thrilled about these app specific passwords either, I think Google's implementation is flawed, they are not really app specific passwords because you can't say "I will generate an app specific password that can be used for Google Voice only". The pseudo app specific password that you think you generated for Google Voice only can also be used to access your email for example. It's app specific in the sense that only 1 app is supposed to know it (e.g. Talkatone in this case), but if the password leaks from their servers it gives access to more info in your Google Account than Google Voice.
It's better than nothing, but until Google improves it I feel better not using Talkatone and the likes that store passwords on their servers.
Any idea how to make the phone APPEAR unrooted so that I can use my work email on my phone? The authentication fails for "mobile iron" if it detects root.
EDIT: Mobile Iron + Android 5.0
Watching this as I am in same boat. We have to use Voda phone MDM and it is a disaster. It uses divide email and you need a separate app for contacts, calebdar, tasks etc. You can't even dial a number from within an email as all the apps are separated and can't share info.

Don't use lollipop, install xposed, install rootcloak. Done
My dads phone was run over by a car and it crakced the screen to the point you aren't able to see anything. The home and back button still lit up fine and he was able to receive incoming calls. He swapped his SIM to the replacement phone but none of his contacts were there or linked to his Google account so guessing everything is stored on the phone itself. Is there anyway to get the contacts via ADB or any other app? It should be connected to the wireless at home if I need to push an app from playstore.

I was able to backup and restore a good number of the backups using Kies, but some of the contacts are missing I am told. Would there be some that aren't backed up this way, assuming I accounted for those in Google and the accounts Kies tells you it won't backup?
