Is it possible to pair the Nexus Player ASUS controller with any Android device? I mean is it a general Bluetooth controller one could use for gaming on a tablet, phone, like any other Bluetooth gamepads out there?

You should be able to over Bluetooth which is how it connects tot he NP. I known that emulators support controllers so why not give it a try? If you don't have the NP I'll try it and let you know
My controller successfully gets connected with my phone and my laptop. Just press the home and back button together for a few seconds to get it to pairing mode and the simply pair it via bluetooth.
I don't have a NP, it doesn't seem to be good enough to order (have a Chromecast), with the limited memory and stuff. But the Gamepad looks so cool, I thought why not get it for my Android games? Wanted to have a Bluetooth gamepad anyways for some time...

What kind of laptop were you using? Has anybody gotten it to pair with a Windows Laptop yet?

A normal windows laptop with Bluetooth
What edition of windows? I couldn't see available for pairing it on my MSI GT70 with Windows 8.1 64-bit. Other devices pair just fine.
I got it to pair on my laptop. But the buttons and pads aren't mapped correctly, e.g. it didn't work on Steam Big Picture or on any games. It's stuck going top-right. I assume they have the triggers mapped on the wrong axis. If anyone knows a way to remap the buttons, d-pad and sticks, I'd try it again. And it connected perfectly with my phone (Oneplus One.) I didn't test every button, wouldn't know how. Was able to remap some of them in MAME4Droid.
I paired the np remote with my nexus 6 and have an issue, when using it in Kodi, the select button ( the big center round one) does not do anything, any ideas?
I couldn't pair it with my G4, any tips?
https://www.logitech.com/en-us/product/k600-smart-tv-keyboard
Supports three devices and six platforms. Connects via included Logi Unifying Receiver (UR) or Bluetooth (BT) to Samsung Smart TV, LG Smart TV, Android TV/Android mobile devices (Fire TV), Windows, macOS, iOS, and Chrome OS
I initially set it up for WebOS on my LG OLED with its included USB UR as Device 1. Then got it connected by BT to my FireTV Cube as Device 2. Remembered I had a spare older UR for my K400 that I was using on my FireTV so set it up with the Cube as Device 3. I'll get around to ditching the Cube BT connection.
The setup is a little obscure. If you have Windows, the easiest way is to use Logi's UR Connector app and set it up on the PC and then move the UR to what you want to control.

Hello All,
has anyone got the TV controls for the new remote to work on the Firetv box Second generation? Weird that its not supported. I can pair it but cant control my TV? any work around?
You meant you can pair but can't control the Fire TV right? Its very sad that Fire TV 2 isnt compatible. Is it the Fire OS Version? Maybe we need Fire OS 6 for the new remote control to work?
Yes very sad! Theres no way to load fire os 6 on the fire tv 2?
I bought a fire tv stick 4K this week, because keeping the remote and selling the stick seemed to be cheaper.
I can confirm, that you can pair the new remote with the FTV 2 box.
In order to get the remote buttons for volume etc. for your TV set to work, you first have to configure the remote on an officially supported device. I did the complete installation procedure on the stick.
Obviously the infrared code of your TV is saved on the remote. When I connected it to the FTV2 box afterwards I could still control the TV (mute, vol +\-, power works).
Known issues:
- Voice search doesn’t work
- Remote loses connection when box goes into sleep mode - Box doesn’t wake up by pressing any button (Box is put into sleep mode when i power of the TV by pressing the fire remote power button)
- Remote loses connection from time to time.
I’m not sure wether the connection problems depend on my box (rooted, fw 5.2.6.6). Had similar issues with my Xbox-Controller some time ago, which I had to re-pair after every restart of the box (before it worked flawlessly with auto-by-connection for some weeks).
Here are my devices:
1. Vizio 4k V series TV (no BT only IR and WiFi)
2. Vizio Soundbar (SB4020E-AO; IR)
3. Playstation 4
4. Nvidia Shield 2017
I'd like to control everything with a remote. I understand I could go the Harmony route but was wondering if there was a solution by purchasing an older tablet with a IR blaster in which I could download a Universal TV remote app. Controlling the PS4 with a remote is not a big deal as I only use the PS4 for gaming so when using it I'm going to grab the DS4 controller anyway.
This would provide a large remote that is well lite in a dark environment and would allow me to controll all the devices, give me a BT keyboard for kodi searching, perform Chrome casting on the Nvidia Shield etc.
Does anyone have any thoughts as to:
1. What would be the best tablet with an IR blaster to purchase (would prefer a 8" sized screen)
2. What would be the best app to use to control the TV, soundbar and Nvidia Shield.
Thanks!
Alright so I got a smart hisense android tv but I don't use the smart part of it because it's got terrible hardware but I got a good deal on the TV. Anyway I have a good android tv box that I have plugged into the tv and I use it for everything. The remote the android tv box came with works with the hisense tv for volume but I'm looking for an alternate remote that includes a keyboard and air mouse functions. I've tried [this](https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09XMF5YN1?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share) and I can't get this to copy the hisense tv IR signal for volume, I found 2 different guides that supposedly work on this remote to copy signals for buttons and it just doesnt work.
Like the title states I'm looking for a remote for android tv boxes and it need air mouse and it has to work with a smart tv volume. I did verify the smart hisense tv is controlled by an ir blaster on the front
