Help - Samsung Galaxy J5 Questions & Answers

Hi. Please I need someone to help me.
I have the J5 prime model G570M, it had a custom rom and I decided to return to the original firmware, I made the flash and it was successfully installed but on the cell phone a blue screen appeared with the notification "initiating update" and then another screen that says " no command "and nothing else, the phone does not turn on, I tried to get into recorery mode and it didn't work. I made another attempt to install twrp and the answer I get is" only official released binaries ares allowed to be flashed (RECOVERY) ".
Please tell me what I can do in this case.

How to return to stock ?

Firstly I will appologise for my stupidity before I start.
New to Andrioid and thought i would root my phone and try some different firmware which I thought that I had done succesfully but when I try to go back to the original stock firnware using Rom Manager & Clockwork Mod Recovery I keep getting the message " an error occured while attempting to run priveleged commands!"
Don't understand what has happened or why it's not letting me do this as it let me put the new firmware on so does that not mean that it's rooted ?
*#1234# give me the following
PDA : I9000XWJM8
PHONE : I9000 XXJM!
CSC : I9000xxjm1
Sorry if I'm being a complete fool but can someone point me in the right direction to return it to XXJM1 the same as when it came out of the box.
Thanks for your help anyone ?
Tried using method of Vol+ home and power button to reinstal update.zip to give me root again and don't think i should have tried this as the phone now boots to the samsungm logo and goes black ????
Please please please can someone help have I bricked my shiny new phone ???
So you can boot fine, but you can't access recovery to fix your problem?
I'd say whip open Odin and flash it properly.
Thanks for that but I've never used Odin before.
Have downloaded the original XXJM1 so I gather I run Odin program and flash back the original rom/firmware (not sure what it's called for Android)
Any help or guidance would be appreciated.
Cheers

:fingers-crossed:
You need to go to the at&t section on xda. This section is not for your phone.
Because you don't give any details about the Odin error, I can't help you further.
Most Odin errors can be solved by:
- Other cable
- Other usb port
- Other pc.

Soft Bricked (SM-G530W)

I was trying to upate the SUBinary and it told me to reboot. As soon as I did I get a message saying "Custom Binary Blocked by FRP" and a red text saying "Secure Fail : Kernal" help me.
It has something to do with your Google account being logged into the phone.. samsung can send signal to reset it but they won't if it's been rooted etc still trying to make sure reflash omg the phone with original rom would make it worse or not. Or maybe just reflash in the kernal. I'm on t mobile but can only find original rom on t mobile same network but we will see. I'm on my fiance a accident messaging from her phone lol or maybe just reflash the kernal the whole problem for me is I don't have a computer to try to reflash from what someone told me I may try to reflash with odin 3.90 with a tar file to the exact model number

Worked for my SM-G530W
I had the same problem, and i used Kies3 (not compatible with my phone anyway), but if you go on toolbar to "TOOLS", "Firmware Upgrade and initialisation", it asks you for your device model (for mine i typed SM-G530W, and then it asks you for device serial number (S/N) found under the battery by the IMEI number. After this, follow on screen prompts (Restart your device in Download mode/ PDA, connect USB cable, etc), and let the software download and install (factory rom); After your device restarts, you are good to go (sometimes if it gets stuck on booting, remove battery for few second and start again.) Now you have to go back and set up everything you want, including re-rooting your device... Good luck. (My device is Galaxy Grand Prime SM-G530W Factory unlocked rom, Android 5.11.

S5000-F recovery request (desperate's cry)

Dear XDA members.
Things started going wrong along with failed rooting procedure. This made the device to hang on manufacturer's logo (recovery availiable).
Then I've tried to follow "how-to-flashing-lenovo-s5000-via-spft" @ zonexfirmware.blogspot.com; describing the use of SPFT to flash rom from PC. Unfortunately "PMT changed for the ROM" error made me to "format whole flash except Bootloader". This allowed to flash rom in "Download Mode" via SPFT.
Now the rom still does not boot, and additionally when trying to enter recovery mode I see only "factory mode".
So, standing on the edge I'm hesitating. Probably Firmware upgrade mode or Format All + Download would solve the problem. But things may go also the other way (much like considering my latest results).
At this point I'm even not sure whether the rom linked in the guide suits my device.
Please kindly advise.
Format All + Download almost bricked the tablet.
Has anyone an idea what is wrong with this procedure? The device is not booting and have the factory mode instead recovery mode stikk,

Samsung Galaxy Tab A(10.1 2019) SM-T510 soft-brick

Hey guys,
im sorry if the topic doesnt fit here. I am new and not a techi. My Son just tried to flash some custom ROM on our Samsung Tab A and somehow bricked it. It is not possible for me to get into Recovery or Download Mode i have already tried all Button-Combinations. It just shows an error saying "An error has occured while updating the device software. Use the Emergency recovery function in the Smart Switch PC software."
I have already tried with draining the Baterry empty (described in forum thread here: https://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1478361) and plug it in to get the Charging symbol. But it doesnt happen. It just shows only the Error..
So i really dont have any more ideas how to get into recovery/download mode.. Is there anything i didnt tried??
It seems like the download-mode is not available. Is there a way to "install" a new one??
edit: it seems like this IS the download-mode.. anyways i think i just need the stock firmware for this model T510NZKDDBT. I cant find it via duckduck/google..
Maybe someone can help me with it?
Thank you
nevermind!! i've figured it out. Flashed new bootloader via Odin. Now its working again

I know I'm a year late, and you've either figured this out or moved on, but maybe I can clear this up for anyone else in the same situation.
I stuffed up and got the same message - "An error has occured while updating the device software. Use the Emergency recovery function in the Smart Switch PC software."
That error message screen is basically the download screen. Windows (and the Smart Switch software) won't connect to the tablet while that screen is displayed, but Odin will.
You can bring up Odin and re-flash the stock software (or whatever you need) while that message is displayed. If you still have trouble, holding power and down-volume will re-initialise the download screen, though it will still display the same "emergency recovery function" error message.
I hope that's enough of a description to get people out of trouble!
