Hi guys. I want to buy a new unit for my golf 7 gti 2016 and i decided to get an android unit. I saw this one on Aliexpress : Xtrons PST10GFV-LB (cant put any links for the moment) 10" inch display with android 10, 2GB ram, ips, dsp, cpu is an MTK quad core cortex A7.
What do you guys think?
Or do you have other recommendations like brand specs, etc?!
Thanks for the help
Hey there, did you end up buying it? It looks pretty great!
I bought mine almost a year ago, but with different specs: Android 8, 4GB RAM, 32GB internal and a PX5 Cortex A53 octa core CPU. It's not up-to-date, but I'm still loving it! I have been looking into installing a newer version, but I'm still not very knowledgeable about these things (head units).
I installed a device from these guys, so far for half a year the radio has been working fine, you can contact them

Doesn't look too bad, but specs are a little old considering cherry trail is coming out.
With these specs and the price tag at 170$ this is totally a bargain. I would definitely pick one of those for my niece!
how about chuwi hi10? any difference?

It runs very smoothly, but it didn't use it much, because it's not for me, it's a gift.
I have just bought this unit for my second car.

Hi there,
i have a similar HU
Tristan Auron
BT2D7018A
MTCE_LM_V3.06_1
Cortex A35 Quad-Core / Rockchip PX30 with 2GB-RAM
Does the PX30 fast and reliable? What if compare to RK3188/PX3/PX5?
@ this Moment I think he PX30 is a light Version with only 4 cores of the PX5.
Compare both chips, the PX30 is more for Multimedia and have 15% less Power and no 4K Support.
The Temptetures on my Unit reaches 65°C after 30-40 minutes max. Average Temperature is about 48-55°C without coolling Mod.
My Unit-Software is not pure Android, so the Performance of my Head-Unit has only 2GB of Ram and that’s the biggest Problem.
Opening 5-6 Apps is good at all, but start to enter an Address to Google Maps so I see micro Stuttering when the Unit loads the Route.
On Travel the Unit works well with Music, Navigation and Speedalert running in Background.
I think the CPU is good enough but yet there’s no Custom-Rom for better Experience.
Greetings Dimes
Hi there,
I bought a Calaoer head unit so that my wife could have access to all the comforts in our car.
But here it is, the beast runs on Android 10 and doesn't perform well with a lot of lags.
I read that there are two custom threads, one of which is called Hal9k and seems to be perfect for my use.
But here it is, I don't know if I can install it knowing that the processor is an Allwinner T3 P1, and that I have no way to know if I'm in MTCD or not (the settings screen doesn't give any info) so I'm handing it over entirely to you, you're my last chance somehow.
Thanks in advance for your help.
Damien

Other information
MCU is looking to be K2001Q
Your Allwinner T3 is already an older CPU and will never be a "speed beast".
If your unit has 1GB RAM, you won't improve much with a custom ROM. Simply not enough memory. You need 2GB or better.
Your T3 is not a MTCD/E unit and the HAL9K unit can't be used and neither the Malaysk. There are no custom roms for Android 10 for your unit as far as I know.

Thank you for the effectiveness of the answer even though I admit I was hoping for another one.
I do have a Head Unit with 2GB of RAM so I'll have to make do with it unless you want to counter-order.
Hello,
I have a Pumpkin Android 10 head unit here. In the system I can't find any information about the MT/B/E etc.
Only to the MCU. I want a new rom for the device. Unfortunately I don't know what to look for. Didn't find any information about this MCU version: CSN2_D_0222021_123552_V205,
Pumpkin Android 10 PX5 Board with Cortex A53, 4GB RAM, 64GB ROM
Can someone please help me to find the right threat or a suitable ROM?
Thanks very much !

You should look in the right thread to find something.
Pumpkin is just a reseller and they buy radios around China from a lot of different manufactures.
This thread would be the right one to look into: https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/...n2-csn2_d-csn2_8600_d-android-8-9-10.3912413/
Just to make it clear: There are only some updates on your CSN2_D available, no different ROM.
The thread itself ix no longer supported by yuzo, so you need to read the first pages and really the last 10. Take care not to choose the wrong MCU or firmware.
Hello everyone,
I am new here, but I have been reading many topics from here which helped me a lot in my head unit.
Actually I have a head unit which is operating with a strange firmware. I couldn't find any support online for this firmware, you can see its code in the image below.

I am wondering how to update its firmware?
Another thing is that it says that the android is 12.1 which I do not believe. I will never believe that this head unit operates with Android 12.1. I am sure it's fake and the actual version is lower.
I couldn't find any firmware updates except for (XY Auto).. So can I update my firmware? to make it more fast, reliable and stable?
Thanks in advance.

Install Fake Device Test from the store and you will see it´s Android 8 possibly.
Making it faster? Unfortunately not with this CPU. It´s a quad core unit with only 2GB RAM, so don´t expect that much.
For getting more information of your unit type, search in this forum for your MCU. There are a lot of threads running for this unit.
