Kudos for you for not just hammering me. It sounded quite suspicious, but nonetheless, my post was useless. I apologize for that.
Returning to the topic, along with Sammobile, there is also Updato (https://updato.com/) and SamFw (https://samfw.com/). I personally recommend the latter as it stores the firmwares on Google Drive, which is WAY faster than most other options (Sammobile, for example, hosts the files themselves and caps the download speeds severily for non-paying users).

i am a kinder, gentler mod, my friend
yes, sammobile is painfully slow, but samfirm and the Frija tool help circumvent that. Very good tips on updato and samfw btw tho! and no, i wont hammer on anyone for posting external links that are strictly there to help either
carry on good sir!!
edit: i agree on the level of suspicion garnered by the OP tho, just FYI. I agree, but as i said...

pro tip: if you run into a situation where the firmware is "archived", Frija and SamFirm both get around the "need" of being a premium member and allow you to download the firmware anyways

I did do a search before posting and saw similar stuff but nothing for this app on the N3. Haven't rooted yet but from what I've read so far it might be troublesome. This is from Juniper networks. http://www.juniper.net/us/en/local/pdf/additional-resources/jnpr-mobile-signatures.pdf
Edit: The offending apk is possibly hq2.itqmmi.hjbr_94100600_0.apk (taken from HERE). This report was updated three weeks ago.
I'll ditch it once I root. I have a lot of multitasking going on right now so unfortunately it may be a few days.

[Q] kindle for samsung app on galaxy note 4

hi all
for some strange reason when i first got this device i was able to go to the samsung app store and
download the kindle for samsung app. It was nice, it had multi window function and I was quite happy about that.
as on my note 8 i had to hack the darn thing to work with multi-window (tutorials are lovely things aren't they )
I had to do a factory reset on the thing and ever since then i'm not able to find that app anymore.
I finally stumbled on a thread in xda where some one posted the kindle for samsung app in an other thread for the S6 i think it was. I managed to grab it from there but this one has no multi window function.
I've busted my brains for three days now, message samsung twice with absolutely zero luck. they seem to selectively become unable to comprehend anything I say beyond a point. Tried all kinds of vpn ip re-routing and still can't get onto the samsung app store to get this friggin app.
so if anyone in here has it would you please.. please please pleaaaaaseeeee im begging you be so kind as to give me a dropbox link or something so i can pick this thing up and finally use kindle with multiwindow? please?
I'm seriously drained now looking around and looking for a way around samsungs nonsense (don't even get me started on the google play store -not available in your country blah blah) uuuuuhhhh
help... i give up please help.
What you get in the Samsung store is dependent on device description in the build.prop. perhaps check if a flash of some Rom changed it.
Hmm I'm not sure what you mean. I'm new-ish to android. If you mean about rooting and changing from the official samsung rom to an other then no, I've never done that.
the phone is new. It was initially turned on and setup in the USA that may be why, I dunno. Samsung said that the kindle for samsung app is simply not part of the store which services my location. They zoned my country out (for an ebook reader? Maybe it's for the book deals but I don't care for that)
If you meant something else , what should I be looking for in this file and what should it be?
I guess it's time to find some tutorials again. (Heck of a lot of trouble for just one app though this is getting crazy for one apk)
I'm sure if I can just get the apk I'd be good.
Thanks though.
yeah, that was what i was refering to. if you flash a new rom it might be that the description of your phone changes.
the only thing i could think of would be that your sim card changed the region your phone is accounted to and so you can't download it anymore. a possible way would be to reset your phone and startup without sim, connect to wifi and install it from samsungs store and after that you can insert the sim card again and continue the setup. i understand that this is not a convenient way, so you'd better just search for the apk.
samsung is restricting access, because it comes bundles with one year service 1 free book per month.
i just tried it and could download and install it from the galaxy apps store.
Lol would you believe all while I was doing this there was no sim card in the phone?
I was getting a feel for the phone and transferring contacts playing with it all before I put the sulim on. In fact, I only put the sim card in five minutes ago for the first time.
it has to be the book deals. I don't care about that, I don't want any novels.
Could u extract the apk with "es file explorer" and post a Dropbox link?
That would be awesome , that's all I'd need I'm sure of it. That particular apk
is no where to be found anywhere online
Here is a tutorial on how to do it
http : / / w w w mobilitaria.com/2013/11/using-es-file-explorer-to-make-apk.html
gonna check that link out, give me a minute

Also just heard from someone who said that if I ever did flash my phone with an other rom that the app wouldn't work anymore (at least that was his experience). I'm not really into that anyways. About the only thing I'd be interested in would be getting this SM-N910H to unlock LTS like the N190C I'm guessing it's just software lock out. I saw something in an other forum thread on here with people experimenting with it. I've not finished reading to the end of that thread yet. It did seem that was really no difference in these phones though. I dunno. Guess I'd better back up right quickly then haha.
What is LTS?
Oh that's 4G I believe that's what it's called
Oh it is called lte around here. I do not understand that you need to unlock it. It should be activated by default.

oh snap you're right I must have gotten the acronym mixed up with linux lts (long term support) you're correct its LTE.. but on my model it doesn't have it included.
the SM-910C and a few others have it mine is the SM-910H that doesn't have it by default but seems it might be a software lock-out. I'd love to have it though.
i did not see mentions of software locked LTE here yet.
i found this thread which claims (at the start at least) that your phone is a 3G version of the note 4.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/note-4/help/sm-n910h-3g-variant-t2925648
i did not read the whole thread, but if it really is not unlockable, perhaps you can exchange the phone with someone who does not need 4g and wants to have a little better battery life. in the end LTE modes were always known to drown your battery more quickly then 3g modems, i guess it is still like that.

Hey good looking out! Thanks.!!!
the truth is that I don't really need 4g at all.. I just like to have a complete device that's all. I don't use mobile data over here because it's terribly slow no matter what "g" they claim to have over here and I found it to expensive for what I get no to mention I'd likely only use it for text or whats app. I just stick with wifi. But I'll check out that article
and if it does indeed drain battery then there really isn't a compelling reason for getting it unless I was going to sell the phone to someone who would need data.
Hows that kindle app working out for you though?:good:

I've just sent $10 so come on guys!
While I agree not everything in the world is free, it would be nice to know why the money is needed. I followed your links but didn't see any explanation as to who gets the money and what it's going to be used for. Maybe a little more info could help people open their wallets?

check first link in the OP, @arter97 does not have the S6 device, he needs it to be able to get Xposed working with 64 bit device, he got it working for other Samsung Lollipop devices but those are 32 bit, like the S5 for example.

We have had posts deleted and stern messages from committe regarding donations for devices. Seems this is ok now though so I guess the rules must have changed.

I've never heard of that, and honestly I don't see any problem with it? it's not like we MUST donate but as he don't have the device and it's not a cheap one I don't see the problem with donating one as it's a killer feature we want.
How sure are you that @arter97 is the one that actually did the work to get xposed working for Samsung devices? @Darkera posted the fix before he did.

I don't know about that but arter97 "solution" seemed more easy to install... anyway I don't care about that, it's not my problem, I only offer people to donate a small amount to get Xposed working with 64 bit devices, then it's up to them if they want to donate or not.

Why does the "who did it first" matters?
Both methods works in a way that's fundamentally different, and as far as I can see, my method is the only way to go to maximize flexibility and compatibility between various devices and ROMs.

It matters because, if people donate to buy you the device and you're not able to get it working for arm64, they're wasting their money. I'm not saying that would be the case, but, I'm always suspicious of people who post something thousands of people have been waiting for only hours after someone else posts the actual steps taken to fix said issue.
*EDIT. By wasting their money, I mean you didn't do the previous work, and can't fix for arm64 (yes, I know, I have trust issues)...

1) so bounty to bring unofficial method, of someone else's hard work...rovo89. This means no guarantee for support, or that it will be adopted as official. (Not that there are ever guarantees with this stuff)
2) Did you check to see how this would go over with @rovo89? Why not create this bounty to help him out (not that he would want it), imagine all the hours he has clocked on HIS framework over the years. The man even generally refused donations.

I don't say that what you say is wrong, I agree 100% but @rovo89 seems to be very busy atm I guess, and @arter97 won't probably go buy this phone anyway so the only solution I see now is if we donate a device to get it working ASAP, because I can't stand the ads in the youtube app for example and some other stuff I need thanks to Xposed.

To root or not to root? What are the pros and cons of rooting?

Im thinking of rooting my note 3 (sm-n900) and installing CM 12.1. The main reason to do this is to eliminate the bloatware, increase the speed, get the latest updated (improvements, updates, security fixes, etc). By doing this, I will loose some cool features I love (like the smart stay, s view cover, S pen features, etc). So, what do you think? To root or not to root?
I can't possibly think of a day without an unrooted phone!
At the same time I can't possibly think about putting CM or anything like that anywhere near my phone.
Hope you get what I am trying to say.

Multiple reasons, really don't want to type a long list, don't have time.
If you are into that sort of stuffs then why don't you try and let us know. I hate it, doesn't mean you would too.
But a FACT won't change, we are not using some crappy old device where the official support is ended and we are stuck with Jelly Bean or something. I prefer stability and a fully featured ROM more than any buggy nonsense. However there are people who don't listen to songs, take pictures or videos or talk on a mobile phone, for them display, sound those don't matter, only if Facebook opens with some decreased animation times they are happy, but I am so fortunate to be not one of them, if you get what I am saying.

Great... Now I got what you are saying! And I agree! But I use the phone a lot specially for work and use less for facebook, photos, etc. Since I use it a lot I need more speed and don't like samsung apps getting in my way like the s planner (Can't uninstall it and install google calendar). I also need the latest updated on my phone because I think they have the latest security fixes and bug fixes. Usually when I face a bug, I need to wait for months to or nearly an year to receive a fix with the stock rom. And I like to see how vanilla Android feels like. So If I make up my mind (hard ) I'll try and let you know.
By the way. Can we trust the roms in `sammobile`? They say those are the original stock roms? If I fail, I can use that to revert back right?

Just because someone likes the convenience and familiarity of Stock Touchwiz does not mean they are wrong. Also Just because phone is rooted does not mean custom recovery and Custom roms HAVE to be installed. Its all about individual preferences.
On the other hand, please do understand, this site is about Development and FOR DEVELOPERS. If you think certain rom has issues, then either fix it yourself since the code is already published. Or raise it to the Developers attention with clearly identified Logcats or bug reports. Blanket statements do not help.
If the argument continues, I will close the thread.

How to enable Bixby Voice Full on non-rooted Samsung S7 Edge?

I have seen many videos on youtube enabling them to use audio commands in Bixby. Does anyone know of this possibility, if so please share , thank you!
Anyone?

Do you want to post links to the videos you mention? That would help people see what you're trying to achieve. AFAIK Bixby is a feature built into the new Touchwiz roms post S8, I'm running the latest official Nougat on my S7E and it's not present.

Try contacting the person who posted the video. Bixby isn't really a feature people want on XDA, most of us much prefer Assistant so you won't have much luck here especially without root.
that video post by Tamirda. one of the xda member here. and his phone is rooted. So nothing you can do on your non-rooted phone.

Bixby Voice TURMOIL
It will be great if XDA reviews Samsung's Bixby Voice services, as they are the most annoying and started to make me sick. It is in the market for more than a year now, but Samsung doesn't know itself who has and who does not have. So far the Russian standard phones did not have this service, but recently I bought for my daughter SG S10+ Russian standard, and LO it had it, mine is SG S9+ and so far it does not have it. How to you explain this issue? I wrote to Samsung Members twice and did not get any clarifications from them. It drives me mad that with all the fame and glory Samsung has, this is a shameful issue for the company. Since SG S4 I am a faithful Samsung fan, but should I be anymore? It will be great to grill them for this.
