WiFi and Network Issue in general use of apps. - Redmi 7A Questions & Answers

Hi everyone, first of all excuse me for my bad english but i am Argentinian. I bought my Redmi 7A brand new three months ago, and i started having this issue since a month. Everytime i use a social app like Instagram or Facebook it stops loading posts a few moments later after i use it, kinda like the phone loses network. It also happens when i play games online, in middle of an online match it suddenly loses connection and never reconnect, again kinda like network loss. I had also noticed that when i download apps from playstore it download with intermitent conecction and sometimes losing conection at all or having a really low connection speed.
All those issues happens me with WiFi and 4G/3G/2G Network Connection. I tried with differents WiFi and Brand Networks and happens the same.
This issue is becoming really annoying and i didnt find any other solution in internet. Just only one more person asked in other forum and didnt get answers.
My phone isn't rooted.

Strange internet problem on T-Mobile G2

Hi,
Not sure if it’s my handset or for everyone in general in the UK on T-Mobile network.
Strange but true. While traveling, internet just doesn't work on my G2. Whether on the popular motorways such as M1, M25 or on train where T-Mobile coverage is very good, I get one or two bars the internet just doesn't work. It throws up error messages that it cannot reach the host it’s trying to connect meaning no data connection. It’s definitely not the coverage problem. Something to do with the phone as I never had this problem on my Nokia E71.
I called T-Mobile helpdesk but they just don't know and don't understand. Is anyone having the same internet problem while traveling? Any workarounds? I don't want to change the firmware as I can get a replacement from T-Mobile (I suppose) if I'm persistent with them. If I change the firmware, it may void the warranty as my phone seems to be faulty.
Any recommendations or workarounds?

Do you mean WiFi or 3g? One of the best things for me was sitting on eurostar watching the gps marker shoot across the screen as the map also was updating... that was a month ago, though, couple of days after I got the phone.
So do you ever get a connection.
When travelling in a car mine seems mostly ok.
It does lose internet connection sometimes when moving from a 2g to 3g signal and can take a couple of minutes to come back.
You could try forcing a 2g connection only to test if that works ?

Inconsistent Connection - sometimes unstable?

Hey i have a 32B UK Vodafone Magic running Cyanogens 4.0.4 stable rom and have had the magic for about a month now.
For some reason my phone randomly loses connection - both 3G and 2G, the drop down notification will just say "No Service" and will only usually restore if i turn on- and off airplane mode.
There are also often times where ill be browsing the internet or the market and while it'll tell me i have 3G/2G, it wont actually "connect" and download/upload data e.g. the market will often tell me it has no connection and web pages will randomly not load, getting the "webpage cannot be found"-like error for no reason. wouldnt be such a bother but it seems to be a daily occurance that spoils an otherwise amazing device.
Is this a common problem? does anyone know how i can solve this if a solution is available (i thoguht it may be to upgrade the radio but i dont know how and ive heard its possible "brick-territory")

So far, turning off 3G has stopped it, but that's not really an acceptable long-term solution...
as you say, disabling 3g is not a solution to the problem encountered considering the device and its expected use, its connectivity should at least e stable.
i did not know about the thread on the vodafone forum and read through all of the posts, there didnt seem to be any strict correlation between the other guys devices and the problem itself, some had diff radios, some likely had flashed roms (but theyre not exactly going to mention that on a voda forum).
thanks for the help regardless, i think im going to do some testing of custom ROMs and some of the radios/SPLs to see if one of them may fix it. though again i dont think its a probplem that can be fixed from a ROM/android update alone
I've been having this issue too, i've gone through multiple roms in search of a fix, none of them solved it though. . .
Are you guys having any other issues coupled with this? My phone also won't autosync email anymore. No notifications, then i'll check manually it will find a slew of emails from earlier in the day. It's set to check every 5 minutes, but alas.
same here with a vodafone magic. I have this prob not only with 3g even with wifi. Turning wifi/3g on/off solves this issue. Its annoying though...

s4 data connection issue comes from my 9505...

I just brought that phone s4 9505 lte version for 1week ago. And at that time I did not find any issues on my phone. As u know I only checked using wifi and play games. It seems to work well everything. But today I am realized that something wrong in my galaxy s4 particularly when I use data network. The main problem is in the H symbol that always appear in the top of the screen with 2 sides arrow. When I do nothing with my phone or idle for a short while, the data connection suddenly stop working which means u can not browsing at all even making a call and texting. So the only way is to refresh the network or change the mode or restart your phone.
I dont know why it always happen in my phone many times. I have tried to refresh network and change the mode then give back to the wcdma mode. It occurs same issues again after a couple hours. But I did not notice where I use gsm mode.
About my signal is good. No drop signal at all. But I always encounter that problem. Maybe anyone who has the same issue .. plz inform then we can try searching out the solution. Thx
Addition information.. I buy this phone from singapore comes with official local warranty.
Actually. I have not tried to change another provider and I hope this cell is not fault factory.
I will try with different area and provider first then decide possibility

Are you on vodafone? There is quite some discussion going on in german forums where the lte - 3g change seems to be problematic when on vodafone network with the i9505. If so you might want to check forums like android-hilfe.de or so. Btw. Im in switzerland on provider swisscom and have the same problems. Data connections drops completely every few minutes. Very annoing.

Yes I notice in other sub thread there are quite a lots number signal problematic. Yet in my case is different from that case..
I just tested set into wcdma mode along night and until now it still work perfectly. This problem can not be predicted when it will occur. Sometimes I browse internet for 2 hours..afterwards my phone can not be used completely even testing and calling. I hope this is a provider caused.

I have been facing this issue for the passed one week till now, I have tried to format the device but the problem is still there, I have not done anything to the device.
I called my ISP and they said that there is no problem with your sim card.
please advise if anyone of you had similar issue.

I've just experienced this today on my 1 day old N910C, I'm on 4G and suddenly earlier today my 4G mobile data indicator disappeared but it still showing the usual signal bars. Tested browsing, no mobile data it said. Tried putting it to Airplane mode then back to normal, didn't bring mobile data back. Rebooted it, then it's working again.
Not yet to see this problem but my friend's Note 4 had this problem. In the end he brought it to the service center and they replace the mainboard. Still wait and see if it fixes the problem.
it happened me before on other samsung devices too. generally an update fixes it but could be hardware problem too.
Hopefully its software related ive seen a slew of note 4s have this issue both variants included.. its annoying to say the least
Hi, I just got my phone, may i know whether you guys have resolved the issues?? i need to turn the flight mode on and off a few times to get the data connection back online
I sent back to Samsung services center, it seems that they said they reprogram the software. Will observe and see how it goes.
Mines all good now few updates and new provider all good ?
Hi guys, I've experienced the same issue, the mobile data connection suddenly drops (H+ icon doesn't disappear but the download arrow is off, meaning that there's no inbound traffic) and the only way to have the connection back is to to disable mobile data and than reactivate it. I've updated my phone, I even tried to install firmwares of other countries (different csc) and to change carrier but I haven't solved the problem (same situation on my friend's N4).

100% solution for my note:
go to settings=>location=>use GPS ONLY.
perhaps it solves also your problem...

Yes this is BS. If I go to a place with no data service, then travel back to a place with data service, I have to first disable then re-enable the "Mobile Data" toggle in the settings. It's such BS that this is happening. My note 3 NEVER has this problem. Starting to dislike Samsung's buggy releases.

Any news on topic? I'm facing with internet on mobile connection, even if bars are full and LTE sign is visible.
I've also noticed some lack of signal during usage, even if I'm constantly in city.

Very Slow Wifi - barely useable

I bought this phone for my gf it has a GLOBAL version 10.3.5.0 stable, everything is nice with the phone but it has one problem with home's wifi.. its very f****** slow like literally downloading apps or loading pages at 100kbs.. data works perfectly, back in our other home and all public her wifi works perfectly. I would assume that is the router problem, but on my phone (onePlus6 and all other family member phones) that wifi works perfectly with no hiccups.. I have tried to factory reset rn7 via recovery, no luck.. maybe u have an idea what could be causing that? Also if i turn off wifi and turning back on, that wifi doesnt show up immediately, but it locate other nearby wifi, the home's wifi shows up like after 30sec, and sometimes it disappear and shows up again. Phone BL is locked it just few weeks old, i bought it new. I guess installing custom rom should help, but my GF wouldn't like that cuz she afraid to loose camera quality, so im kind of with locked hands for custom, also one guy in reddit said that switching to custom didn't change situation.. damn the phone is really nice. First time in I have such a problem:/
It downloading instagram for 2hours... Its insane, browsed all the web, some people having exactly same problem, and can't resolve it they having different model of xiaomi redmi notes. I just can't believe it that nothing can be done in this case when it works on public wifi, at my family home, at friends, but just not at her house...

Is your router dual band? If so, look for your wifi ID in your list and then look for the name of your wifi with "5G" after it. Try connecting to that. That's the 5 ghz band. Supposedly i's not great for going thru thick steel walls, concrete, etc, but I never experienced any of those issues.

This first thing what i have checked, wifi is not dual. Everything got sorted after few times restarting router thanks for reply!
