Is the back broken at all? that issue is normally caused by a senor on the wireless charger that is broken or missing, if its broken or missing the phone will display the temperature is to low message.
Use my app to monitor battery temperature
https://forum.xda-developers.com/android/apps-games/charge-monitor-t3555496
By the way, if the battery temperature is very low it shouldn't charge

However, it might also be the battery, i have two batteries, one is the one that came with the Prophet and one is a cheap battery i ordered from Dealextreme.
I do know that the cheap battery is dead, but the other one (I did some testing with it, it shows up at 1.4V at my multimeter) i'm not sure if it is dead.
The phone has been like this before:
It randomly worked, randomly turned off, it wouldn't work for like 10 days, then when i put the battery in again it worked.
It kept doing that until it died completely.
Any suggestions?
I can't understand on photo. A battery pin is broken? If the problem is broken pin, a watchseller or jeweler can fix it. They have the right equipment to work with small things

You think they will fix this?
I would try to get a new (third) cheap battery.
Or try to re-animate the cheap one (dangerous, forbidden, but works often for me: open battery casing, unsolder LiIon-Cell, reload with Lab power supply to around 3-3.8 V (never > 4.2V!!!!), resolder, put in Prophete, start charging....)
The pins look ok. 1.4V for LiIon is below the deadly shutdown value!

OK, maybe my answer is a bit late...
I currently have a Nexus 4 8GB on the Paranoid Android ROM, with Franco Kernel (Faster Binned CPU), the CPU temperature never seems to go below 45 degrees C works out to around 113F, When I'm using the phone for basic use this is just texting and using messaging apps no gaming whatsoever its on about 50degrees C. I tried to reduce the voltages by 150mV has no effect on the temperature what so ever.
This is my second Nexus 4 after the first had dead pixels, Do the temperatures seem fine, I mean a friend of mine has the same device rom/kernel and his device stays in the 30's ...
so whats the issue? your cpu temperature is smack dab in the middle of normal. your friend is either making up stuff, never leaves the air conditioning, or lives in a place thats cold. yesterday i was taking photos outside in the summer heat, and my phone hit 55C, also normal.

Thanks that's comforting...
just remember, human body temp averages about 37C, which is not hot. a quad core cpu can get really hot if being pushed, and still be "safe".
Having strange problem with battery status showing a hashy line (can't think of another way to describe it).
Any help would be appreciated.

2 Things:
What build number are you on?
Are you having any issues with battery life? (Random jumps in percentage, decreasing battery life, etc.)
N4F26O
Haven't noticed issues with battery life just this is behavior and last night it didn't charge.

That's really odd. Are the odd parts where you were expecting it to charge? If so, something might be wrong with the charger, or it might have had a bad connection. It looks like it kept jumping all over the place. Either that or something bugged out. Other than that, I have no idea.

Yeah i expected it to charge... Haven't had problems with the charger before.
Guess I'll just try a different charger and get it to 100% hopefully that will clear out the history and I'll go from there.

well its the proximity sensor, if you disable it your phone if you have Always On Display active, and when you are in phone calls and things like that the phone screen wont be turned off, i mean, AOD in the pocket with that sensor disabled will keep the screen on everytime and the battery will drain even faster.
its possible, if you are rooted and can install xposed and have some tweaks you can do it, already have some mods for xposed with that trick.
Have you checked your wakelocks? There could be a rogue app disabling deep sleep in the background... I used BBS and found out for me it was onefootball
i have checked every single settings not sure about wakelock... proximity sensor should not light up when screen is off. so there is something...even with screen off no always on display its still on
Any solution mates,
buddies...!!!!! just checked it on lg astro 2 and two more devices it is always lighting ..so no problm i think...
for thoose who have drain battery issues this can be the problem

I know this is a little off topic... But seeing a post for the OP8Pro with a 2022 date on it is refreshing! Been searching for days for information on how to flash a ROM/TWRP and/or ROOT and most posts are from 2020. I was beginning to think the device/projects were abandoned!
While on the subject, if anyone has recently and successfully accomplished any of the things I mentioned, would you please share? I have over a 100 tabs open right now from all the bricking I've had to come out of over the last 5 days!
Thanks!
