Good afternoon guys, first forgive me for the mistakes (I'm using google translator).
So yesterday I was normally using my le echo x626 until when I went to put it to charge, as soon as I put the charger it turned off, I waited a while to see if it came back, only I noticed a strange smell, then I removed the charger and found that the smell coming from the entrance of the charger, I waited a while and tried to turn on the phone, it didn't work, he didn't even want to signal, then I tried to put it back in the charger and he just lit a red light, I thought he only had Brickado but I think it damaged some internal part because the computer does not recognize him by usb, finally I need your help, disassembled him, removed the battery to see if it turned on without it, even so when I put the charger, only returns the red light.

My friend dropped my phone (Orange SPV C500) a few days ago on to a tiled floor. The phone didn't appear to be broken or faulty at all at the time. I even managed to use TomTom navigator to go to the airport, but for some reason when I looked at it before I went to sleep, the phone was off. I assumed the battery had gone (even though it should have lasted at least another day). I tried to plug in the mains charger, but the LED showed a red light. I left it plugged in while I slept, but it was the same in the morning. The phone won't power on at all. I've read that this normally happens on a flat battery, but I am pretty sure it still had juice for another day.
I brought a new battery, but to no avail, the phone still shows the red light when plugged into the mains. No light at all when plugged via USB to my computer. The phone won't power on at all.
It must have broke something when it was dropped. But I'm confused as to why it took a few hours to take any effect.
I also notice that even without the battery in the phone, the LED will still light up as red when plugged in to the mains.
I've tried whacking the phone now, but nothing. Anyone have any idea whether it can be fixed?
Hello there
Ok O2 XDA was working fine. Did the ROM upgrade and that seemed to go fine too, XDA booted fine after upgrade was able to use phone and all was working.
I then notice that the battery was running low so decided to put it on mains charge. Plugged it in but was not charging, battery level stayed at 5% even though it was left on charge for the whole night.
I then opened it up carefully to check for any loose connections to the battery ect (Was very carefull, broke nothing) put it back together and now it does not even switch on. Even hard boot does nothing, puting it on charge does nothing it is totally dead !!!!
Any ideas please
Thanks
Ok so I thought it might be the fuse so i soldered a wire accross the fuse points as per these forums.
I am not sure now if i have made it better or worse as at least now i get a red light on top right LED which i was not getting before, it was totaly dead before. Still nothing is happening when i put it on charge, nothing on screen at all, the only sign of any life now is the red LED.
Ok so, last night my phone was dying. I didn't charge it until about 5 PM today. However when I plugged it in, it wasn't picking up charge. I took off the battery and it looked like there was water under it, not a lot (no I haven't gotten my phone wet... or near water at all) so I wiped it off and plugged in a spare battery that I have. When I plugged that in, the camera flash turned on briefly and the phone began to blink orange. I left it plugged in for about 20 minutes then I tried turning it back on and nothing. Now when I unplugged it again I tried doing other thigns like turning it on without a battery while it's plugged in, doing it through usb (which when I plug it in through usb the PC makes that USB sound) and for a brief second I tried turning it on, and it DID show the "MyTouch 4G" logo, then it shut off. It hasn't been picking up charge right and I can't get it to turn on... What can I do? I got this off of craiglist and it was working fine for almost a month, so there's no warranty. Any suggestions?
Also, whenever I put in the "good" battery, the phone vibrates and the flash turns on. What do you guys think could be done??
And when I plug it in through USB it looks like it's "charging" (as in the light at the top is orange) and the buttosn turn on if I mess with them, but no image on the screen. Frustrating.
Hello,
Last week I was using my phone as usual, I put it on my desk for about 5 minutes and when I came back it had turned off. I tried putting it on charge but the orange led doesn't show any activity. The phone doesn't turn on and doesn't do anything. I tried booting it on recovery but that didn't do anything else. I also took off the battery and put it back several times.
Help!

try cleaning the battery contacts and also the usb contacts, i had mine where it wouldnt charge all night and died and it was just dust caught on the +5v pin of the usb connector.
There is lost of dust in the usb connector, you should try to clean it. The battery might be dead, you can try to buy another one but...
That didn't work. (does the led light turn on if there is no battery in the phone or it must have one inside?)
It does need to have one inside to lit the led
If you know someone with a DHD, you should try his battery. But your phone is probably dead... Fortunatelly, the GS3 will be announced soon !
So, this phone was working without any problems but then my wife turned it off and left it in the drawer for about 3 weeks when she went overseas. When she got back and tried to turn it on it wont turn on. We figured it might have drained the battery so we plugged it in but now its not charging either! When I unplugged and plugged in, the LED blinked orange once but now it wont even do that either, no power, no LED, not charging either. I have tired everything, left it disconnected, battery out for an hour, then put it together and tried to charge, still nothing.
Any ideas? It is already out of warranty so talking to T-Mobile is out of question.
Nothing has been done to it, it is physically fine, it was just off for a long period and not it just wont respond.
Edit: Fixed it! I don't know what, I was almost giving up, but I took the battery out and blew hard on the battery contacts in the phone and in the charging port then plugged everything in and put it back on charger, orange light started to blink and then went solid and now its charging. I just turned it on. This phone is dodgy, no other phone hard bricks like this if you leave it off.
Some phones don't function with completely discharged battery. Actually, most of newer phones. You need to leave the battery inside and the phone connected to charger for some time, till the charging light shows up. MT4G is very far from being "dodgy", doesn't differ from many other phones that behave the same, and you were nowhere near "hard brick".
Good luck in powering up Motorola Defy with completely discharged battery.
Recoverable problem

Had a similar problem. Phone died while using it then wouldn't light up when plugged in. Left it plugged in for half an hour wouldn't seem to charge via wall or car charger. Tried doing a hard reset with/without the battery & plugged in/not plugged in in various combinations. Got nuthin. Drove around for hours looking for a replacement or open T-Mobile place, until it got too late and I went home. Live chat with T-mobile rep was a waste of time. Plugged it in the wall and left it, as this once brought back a G2 battery that I thought was cold dead. Five hours later it was lit up and charging, showing 40% charge on the battery indicator app once I turned it back on. "HTC Sense" crashed immediately on boot then recovered. Seems to be fine so far.
- Suggestion; plug it in and leave it overnight if it seems cold dead and doesn't appear to be charging. It seems to need to hit some critical threshold before it will work again (as indicated by previous poster). Also pick up a couple spares off amazon or newegg if you don't have a second phone available.
