I have a wallaby with the XDA special edition ROM, and I'm using it with the Telefonica operator in Chile.
I just made the connections settings for the internet settings as the Telefonica company told me:
Cellular Line (GPRS)
APN: web.tmovil.cl
and in the dialing locations tab, under dialing patterns I set up the phone number to be dialed: *99***1# in the "For International calls, dial". (this is the only place where I can set the dialing number)
the user is "web" an password "web"
I believe all is ok, but when I try to make a connection, the phone shows the following message:
Phone:
UNKNOWN APPLICATION ..... Is this message ok?
and after that, it shows a Trouble Connecting message:
"The answering modem has disconnected. Verify the phone number and then try again. To change your... "
Any help?
Thanks a lot
i got that message when i didnt select the GPRS line...but you've done that :?
I'm thinking tha may be the radio version. My device have the 6.18.0 version.
Any ideas????
Unknown Application solved
Finally I solved the problem changing the ROM version in my XDA.
I installed the A.30.09 ENG T-mobile version, with the same settings for Telefonica in Chile and every thing connected OK.
Dear friends of XDA-developers, what do you think about this?
I has to be something with the different systems between Europe and America???

Hi,
I am using an unlocked T-Mobile MDA compact II in India. The phone is running fine except for a small problem. It sends out a message almost daily(may be when i replace my SIM card) which appears of type 'application' in my phone bill.I have also used the antivirus software on my phone but didnt detect any viruses.
In other phones , you have an option for ''Confirm SIM service actions'' , where it confirms with the message "Allow SIM card to send message'' when you insert your SIM card. However, this choice is not available here.
Is there any registry entry to be modified to change this setting ? or are there any other options available ?
Pls. help .thx in advance.
I have an O2 Atom with the following specs:
ROM 20080612B6WWE
EXTROM EX0503
RADIO R060822N_MN1ARC_RS00052
currently running on PDAVIET rom from Sonblack.
My problem is as follows:
1. when i boot up the pda everything goes smoothly except there is a network unavailable message in my home menu and a stupid "no network !" sign at the signal strength meter.
2. interestingly the green LED flashes every few seconds as if logged onto a network provider.
3. more interestingly the green LED flashes every few seconds as if logged onto a network provider even if i remove the SIM card and boot into the OS.
My previous configuration which used to work:
Original ROM from O2 Asia dependent on Windows Mobile 5.1
EXTROM EX0480
RADIO R060822N_MN1ARC_RS00049
Things I have tried to make her work:
1. Tested GSM module --> IMEI OK --> PASS
2. Tested Wifi module ---> PASS --> surfed internet using wifi --> OK
3. Tested Bluetooth module --> PASS --> sent files to another PDA --> OK
4. Tested FM radio module --> PASS --> FM radio working
5. Tested ROM checksum --> PASS
6. Flashed a dozen times using different roms and radio versions eg:
radio versions RADIO R060822N_MN1ARC_RS00052
RADIO R060822N_MN1ARC_RS00049
RADIO R060822N_MN1ARC_RS00048
RADIO R060822N_MN1ARC_RS00038
got these different roms from O2 atom wiki -- keep up the good job guys.
7. finally flashed from the latest O2 Asia provided rom --> USELESS
My theories:
1. There is no possible hardware issue with the internal antennae as i think even the wifi module shares the same antennae and wifi is working like a charm
2. There is no possiblity of a faulty SIM cause i have checked with a dozen different SIMS all of them give a no network error.
3. There is no possibilty of a Hardware error at the SIM contacts cause i can use SIM manager on all SIMS flawlessly and access contacts and sim info on all the dozen SIMS that i tested.
4. I have tested more than six SIMS in manual mode for different bands GSM 900, GSM 1800, GSM 1900 combination and auto mode ---> USELESS.
Extra Information:
1. GPRS is unable to connect --> gives some dailing error.
2. I cannot scan for available networks using manual mode -->
it shows me a scanning for all available networks dialog and then an
empty list is shown where i can select nothing.
3. I cannot scan for available networks using auto mode -->
it shows me a registering on network dialog and then a cannot register on
a selected network error.
4. All of the other SIMS are from different Network providers and are function
well in my other Nokia, Atom life phones.
I am at my wits end <----- to tell you the truth this is the fourth week i have been trying for a solution before posting all the details here.
Please share you theories, ideas, experiences with me on this thread so that other souls might be spared the mental torture of the O2 service centre and their bizzare claims.
Hoping for a solution <------ help me out
PS: Thank You for reading my post ..... your levels of Patience are increasing.
PS: I remember dropping my Atom off a height of 15ft due to which the side
bluetooth tranciever plastic cover came off ....... but hey the atom was
working after that. The real problem started after i flashed the O2 Asia
provided ROM with a some stupid localization update.
PS: Peace !
solved?

Urgent matter. I bought a huawei P10 lite from another person, I performed a hard reset and when I finished I can't get any signal on my device. It reads no service or emergency calls only. I tried everything on the net but nothing. The code *#*#4636#*#* doesn't work. The code that does work is *#*#6130#*#* but it's not very helpful. Can anyone help me to turn the radio on. Which code are for this process. Please send me solutions because it's urgent because I can't use my device.
Most likely, the phone is Locked to some mobile carrier.
Unfortunately there is no free way to unlock it!!!
About 3 weeks ago I had the same problems with P8Lite.
Paid solution:
- Go to https://www.dc-unlocker.com/buy and buy 3 credits (3 Euro) and create new account
- After a successful payment on your email you will receive Username and Password (check the Spam folder)
- Download HCU Client - https://hcu-client.com/download/
- Login with your Username and Password
- Put your P10Lite in the Manufacture mode
- Type this: *#*#2846579#*#*
- Go to ProjectMenu -> Background settings -> USB ports settings -> Manufacture mode
- Then connect the phone to PC via USB cable
- Press Read Phone Info
- Go to tap Unlock and press Direct SIM Unlock
- Finally, on the right side you should see Unlock done and the phone will turn off
- Turn on your phone and it will be unlocked.
Tested and works on P8 Lite, HCU cliend support P10 Lite and you can unlock it.
I think that it isn't locked because I tried with 3 different sim cards each in different mobile network.
I am still waiting for solutions. Thank you.
Some problem with IMEI or OEMinfo maybe ?.. try flash new FW
Still the same problem. Does anyone knows the shortcut to engineer mode? The new code because I found on the net some old codes but they didn't work.
There is no engeneering mode in P10 lite.
But as I said, I'm almost sure that phone is locked. Ask the previous owner what SIM card (mobile carrier / country) was used.
There is one other menu that is ProjectMenu
Insert you SIM card and check you SIM Lock status:
*#*#2846579#*#*
ProjectMenu -> Network Information Query -> SIM Lock Info
If you get "SIMLOCK_DEACTIVATE" then all it's okay and your phone isn't locked. But that means you probably have other big problems!
Can your phone has physically malfunction? Sim slots problem?
Also why you didn't test the phone before buying it?
Have you thought about mobile repair service?
Still the same problem
I installed a new software using update option and I get signal for five minutes but I wasn't able to use it because it didn't connect to network, then the no service and emergency calls only appear, oscillating between sim cards. The sim cards used are in different mobile service.
If I install Oreo the problem could disappear?
If so can anyone send me the link that I can download and install using update.app method?
If not could you suggest me a different solution.
Now shows that it's charging but the percentage of the battery drops.
Could be the same software problem?
HELLO~Nice to meet all of you!
This is the first time I've been here.
Now my mobile phone can't connect to the network. The reason for his reason may be because I used the wrong brush before. Now my mobile phone displays the prompt imei status:ng under *#0011#. When inserting the SIM card, he Will prompt that it is not registered on the network, now in the Downloading mode is VOiD: 1, the system is U1, I suspect that my phone EFS file is damaged, I hope someone can help me, give me your EFS backup file and tell me your version of the system or if you feel that it is not the problem, you can tell me other solutions!
thank you very much!
