Happy holiday to @All
Damn,
today upgraded from 9.0.17 rooted and TWRP(-30) to 10.3.0 rooted and TWRP(-30).
Followed OTA method: install ota, flash twrp via magisk modules and reinstall magisk to inactive slot.
First attempt i loose sim functionality so rebooted to recovery, unistalled and reistalled Magisk
and sim worked again but now can't access to SIM settings.
When i enter WIFI and internet> tap on SIM and network, it keep fc's and say
com.android.phone.PhoneApp stop.
I entered settings>system>reset options and resetted network but didn't work.
Cannot access sim internet..
Do someone have a solution please ?
Edit: installed 10.3.0 to the other slot too but still cannot access to SIM settings...
Edit2: added screenshots

[Q] Sim Unlock on UCUFNJ4 MDv1.2 ? (UPDATE -SOLVED!)

Sim Unlock on UCUFNJ4 MDv1.2
What is the correct way to SIM unlock with this ROM? I've been using it for awhile with few issues except the phone stopping twice on boot before logging in. Annoying but I don't boot/reboot often. I'm switching carriers and do pay-as-you-go. I need to get this SIM unlocked fast. The *#0011# process doesn't work on this ROM. Can't get to the menu. Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks
You might need to be on stock, but go to this thread, read the OP and then post 77 (and maybe post 70). Can't hurt to try that method on MD v1.2 as all you're flashing is the modem.

YOU ROCK! Actually post 70 gave me what I needed.

SUMMARY:
" I had to replace my S4 motherboard.. after getting a new motherboard.. it was locked and was on 4.4.4 FNJ4, and wanted to unlock it badly..
was sarching seaching...........i came to know the other free methods only work for 4.2.2 .so was think to downgrade the firmware
searching again and again how to rollback to 4.2.2 . having in mind that its tough. but luckly i found your thread. and followed the steps..
OMG !!!! it worked just perfect
1. i am on 4.4.4 FNJ4 firmware. and no simcards inserted
2. Rooted the Firmware by the guide from http://www.droidviews.com/root-att-g...e-i337ucufnj4/
3. installed SuperSU, Busybox from play store. and updated the binary and instlled busybox
4. installed safestrap recovery you attached.
5. boot into recovery and installed MF3 Modem, and reboot the system
6. installed region lock away app, and did region unlock. got success message.
7. and reboot again to recovery. installed FNJ4 modem, did system reboot. meanwhile in inserted different NetWork SIM
8. thats all my S4 accepted the SIM and unlocked.. "
This worked for me. I didn't even take out my AT&T GoPhone SIM until the end when I switched in TMob. APN picked up but network may need tweaking. I got data, confirmation texts from TM but haven't checked phone call yet.
MARKING AS SOLVED

SIM 1 Slot is not Detecting

Previously i have rooted my mobile and it was working fine. I tried to install new software update, So i flashed the stock firmware i lost my wifi and network connectivity (both sim cards were not detecting). I flashed again stock firmware which was suggested by some senior member in XDA. After flashing that firmware i got my wifi and mobile network but my SIM 1 SLOT is not detecting. Tried to wipe data and flashed another stock firmware still the same issue occurs. I tried swapping sim cards but it is not detecting in SIM 1 slot which is detecting in SIM 2 slot.
Found that IMEI is there.
Is this software issue or hardware issue?
Please give any solution.

Same problem, had relocked the bootloader and went to service center.Told them network not working after update. They tried first by flashing stock rom. Then concluded motherboard will have to be changed(free of cost).

A2017u has no cellular connectivity at all.

Just got my phone today. I downloaded the toolkit and unlocked my bootloader, rooted, have twrp, and decided to try resurrection remix. Everything seemed fine booted up with root access. Put my SIM card in and have zero cellular connection. It's not the sim because it works fine in my 7+. When you go to the settings it shows that it's reading my phone number but it says cellular radio is off. I've tried flashing the modem again and tried the latest lineage build and same thing. Any suggestions?
Who is the provider?
Have you confirmed proper radio mode is set in settings or *#*#4636#*#* ?

T-Mobile is the provider. Yes I've checked the phone menu and the default setting for "cellular radio power" is off. When I toggle it nothing changes. I've just went back stock and no network either. I never put my sim in before I started rooting and stuff earlier so I'm not sure if it was like this before I got it.
Which bootstack did you install? B15 or B19? If i'm not mistaken, RR needs b15, not b19. Looking at the first few posts in the RR thread it's unclear. But, since it's based on LOS, I believe B15 is the correct one.

Yeah I think I may have flashed b15. But I did just flash stock with b19 like the post said to do and still no luck. Tried a friends sim too. I'm stumped lol
I'm not sure. I haven't tried RR recently.
Can you post a screen shot of what the status bar looks like?

Took a pic. Didn't feel like swapping sims again. Pic is of a screenshot I took earlier. When the sim isn't installed it shows a SIM card instead of the bars with no signal.

Flash the universal bootstack and modem for the u variant from the lineage os XDA thread. This should fix the issue.

Tried that too. Unfortunately it didn't work. Sent the phone back to amazon assuming it's a hardware issue.

stuck in TWRP after stupidly taking OTA

Well last night I stupidly pressed "Yes" when prompted to take the OTA update and now my phone only boots to TWRP. I have wiped everything and restored a backup I made in June and this did not work. Any suggestions? Thanks. I have the unlocked g4 plus btw.

I flashed supersu in TWRP and now the phone will not connect to Sprint towers any more! Sometimes it shows no sim card. I can move the sim card around a lil bit so it no longer complaints about no sim but still, no service! Did I accidentally flashed a modem file or what?

I faced same problem previously while I was in journey , I tried many times removing simcard in and out , I searched internet over 100 times but no use. At last I got it back by doing this. I hope it helps buy no guarantee.
Steps I did .
1. Downloaded RR ROM latest build n g apps
2 removed sim and flashed rom
3 head into Boot loader and tapped BT tools
4 rebbot system once it starts I inserted sim then Bang network came .
Idk what's problem with this device I lost my second slot , now I'm using as single sim device
Supersu breaks SIM and Wifi, if you flash it on the stock kernel. you need to flash the ROM again.

Second sim is not registering to a network in my rooted H990N

Hi All,
I rooted my H990N yesterday successfully. After rooting i noticed the second sim i signal bar icon is greyed out. The first sim is working. There is a circle on top of Second sim signal bar like its searching for network. After that, i unrooted the phone and flashed the same KDZ again using LGUP. Both sims were working fine with unroot. Tried this three times and all the times, with root the second sim is searching for network. How can I fix this? Please help

I have the same problem, I tried the solution you recommended, but unfortunately it didn't work.
Is there any other possible solution for this problem?
