Hi guys
I wanted to upgrade the user interface on my Android head unit. ( Carsara, Android 8,1,)
Started upgrading via USB, the update went thru and i thought it was finish. So I turned off the car to restart it. I started the car, but the screen was completely black. Nothing is working
Later I find out that i should have waited 15-20 minutes for the update to reboot, something i didn’t do. In other words, I turned off the power before it was finished with the reboot. And now it’s dead
Any suggestions so I can get it back to life? Or is it a lost case?

Hiya Friends:
I got a notification that an update CM12 is available. I downloaded the 677 MB file and pressed the update button. I had charged my battery to 97% prior to the update.:cyclops:
It is 5 hours since then and the phone is stuck at the initial screen. YU powered by android.
Note: My phone is NOT rooted. I haven't modified anything since I got the phone except for resetting it once to factory settings after forgetting my password.
Please help me out. I am a newbie and don't know how to proceed. And, Yes, I did have a look at http://forum.xda-developers.com/droid-razr-m/help/stuck-boot-splash-screen-installing-cm12-t3017498; I have no idea of what gaaps or xposed installer means.:crying:
Kindly help me out, friends. Thanks in advance!
Sometimes the oldest trick in the book works!!
I opened the back case and took the battery out from the casing. After 2 minutes, with prayers in my heart I inserted the battery and switched the device on.
The device switched on with the familiar Android screen followed by a new, dazzling CYANOGEN screen. As I waited with bated breath, the phone changed screens after 5 minutes and started installing updates. It took an hour :silly:to finish installing the updates and after a re-boot, I am having a :good:wonderful lollypop experience.
Hint: Please charge your phone fully and connect it to a live charger while the installation is happening. I had charged it completely and after the updates, I was left with 35% charge.
Good luck my friends! :good:
try removing the battery and inserting it again.. i faced the same issue..
after it boots up, factory reset the phone or it will lag a lot.
Hello,
I received the YotaPhone 2 (YD206) today.
The box was sealed.
When I tried to turn on the phone, it didn't start. I thought it was empty so I put in on charger for 2 hrs.
After that I tried again , but still nothing happened -- i was holding power button multiple times, as long as 5 minutes at the time, but there was simply no response -- no vibration, no sound, screen remains black (not turned on), anything at all.
I tried different chargers as well (Xiaomi and Samsung one) -- they weren't working with this phone either.
When I connect phone to a PC, I just hear sound that something is connected (I saw installing drivers notice first time I connected it), but nothing happens at all. I don't see the phone in my computer or anywhere else.
Is there way I can fix this somehow? What else can I try?
Thanks!
You can try unlocking the bands like described here.
Not sure it will help but you can at least try.

Sounds like the phone is defect. The only thing I can think of is that it somehow freezed up and you will need to let the battery drain so all power is off the phone and then try to recharge it. Draining the phone completly without screen use can take up to 7 days.
I finally managed to turn it on,by keeping it on charger for whole day and night and after a couple of attempts it was on.
I thought battery voltage was pretty low which prevented it from turning on.
I used a phone for a day, completely discharged it and then recharged it to 100% again. I thought everything is gonna be good now.
Then I wanted to upgrade to Lollipop, I decided to use YotaFlasher to flash EU KitKat first, and that worked fine. After that, I used OTA update to download Lolipop.
Download finished, and I was offered to "restart device and apply update", but as soon as I confirmed, the device went off and I can't turn it on anymore. What the heck is happening with this yotaphone? (battery was at 97%)
I can't turn it on, restart, put in download or recovery mode, get it to charge or get the screen on. Also PC don't recognize it *AT ALL* -- not even sound that something is connected. It looks completely dead (again).
Any ideas what I can do to fix my new problem?
So my android head unit randomly stopped working. Basically it boots normally but then it says Optimizing apps 1 of 1 for like 5 minutes, then it turns off, boots again, optimizing apps 1 of 1. It just cycles indefinitely. I cannot seem to get it into recovery mode. I've tried holding reset, holding power, holding reset plus power.
My unit is a 7 inch Bondroad Android 5.1.1 2G. I didnt mess with it or anything.
If you need more info please inform me.
Thanks
Hi
I'm hoping someone can help me out. I have the above head unit in my car, and it works pretty well. But it boots from cold all the time. There is an inbuilt option where I can choose standby for 5, 10, 20, 30 and 60 minutes, which means if I return to my car within that time chosen my head unit comes on immediately, but it's maxed out at 60 mins, all other times it cold boots, and takes an age.
My last head unit in a different car did the same thing, found the remedy in switching the red and yellow wires. Worked perfectly. Tried that remedy with this head unit and it actually made it worse. Is still booting from cold, but now setting the standby time doesn't work at all. I can't take it back to the garage unitl next week..
So, Has anyone had any luck forcing it to go into standby? (I read someone had connected the red and yellow from the head unit to the red from the car. Not sure what this will do)
Thanks
T
I picked this head unit up and it works well when it works. It will work fine one day and then the next time I get in the truck it won't power on. I've found that if I pull the unit out, unplug the wiring harness and plug it back in it comes back to life. Last time I did this it hard reset and I lost all customization. I had the accessory turned on setting it back up. Turned the acc off, started the truck and it's dead again. Anyone have an idea why? Cheap Chinese torture device? Thanks!
