Hey guys,
I recently picked up an Axon 7, wanting a device that can run AOSP ROMs. Everything is great, except for one major issue I'm having:
When I pair my car stereo to my phone via Bluetooth, it doesn't show any phone info (battery, signal), and when I make a phone call, it goes through the phone itself, the dialer freezes/crashes, and Bluetooth gets stuck until I force reboot. Media audio plays fine. When I go into Bluetooth, it switches between "Connected (no phone audio)" and "Connected", even though phone audio is turned on.
However, using my BT headset (LG HBS750/Tone Pro), I have absolutely no issues. I can make phone calls and play media just fine.
I tested this out on both LineageOS and AOSCP. My car is a 2016 Nissan Versa SV (with a stock Nissan stereo, supports bluetooth streaming audio). I know this isn't a problem with the stereo, it worked just fine with my Samsung Galaxy S6.
Any help is appreciated!

I'm so confused.
I just even tried completely factory resetting my stereo to default settings, and it's still not working. When I try to hit the handsfree phone button, it just says "Attempting to connect to your phone, please wait" followed by "No phone found". ...then it goes back to playing bluetooth media through the phone that it can't find.
EDIT: I'm also seeing that people on other phones with LineageOS 14.1 are having issues like this. Maybe it's an AOSP issue?

Sadly, haven't really found any solution to this yet. I've noticed that people with different phones on LineageOS started mentioning issues that sound like this one, so I'm going to try to see if I can file a bug report.
I "fixed" this by switching to Pure Nexus.
I have the same issue on LOS and RR, Stock B04 works fine
This is in basically every current model BMW

Try Pure Nexus or another AOSP-based (not LineageOS-based) ROM. I've been running Pure Nexus for a little over 2 weeks now with no car connectivity issues -- all works as it should. A lot of people running LineageOS on other devices are also reporting this issue.

Yess it works fine on my Phone.
I had such a struggle connecting my phone to the headunit. I managed to get it connected in Bluetooth settings. Maybe you have to have your phone's Bluetooth off so it will see the adapter? Just for first connecting.

Thanks bit that one does not work. I did find the right one though: 3188.
So that is for the HLA HW8 unit.
(Just if other people are searching for it)
After updating to Pie, I can't control music playback from my car and I don't see any info on the screen (track title, album, etc.). Sound plays through the car stereo, but I have to use the playback controls on the phone which is annoying and dangerous.
Has anyone else seen this issue with the Pie update?

Yes, me too, I can't control media from my bluetooth earphones.... It was ok in pie 10.0.2.0 but it was broken when I updated to 10.0.3.0...
For anyone also having this problem, in Developer Options you can select the AVRCP version used to control music playback via Bluetooth. In my case, AVRCP 1.3 works like a charm. This may also fix issues with Bluetooth speakers with playback controls.

Yes, same here.
Something with bluetooth is broken in Pie update. Car audio doesnt allow to change track. My smartwatch keeps disconnecting inspite of disabling battery assistant and saver for that app (Garmin Connect).
I used to test some custom Pie roms and havent observed such bugs there. Hopefully next update will fix that

How did you even discover that? I changed from 1.6 to 1.3 as you said, rebooted my phone and my media controls buttons work again, cheers! :highfive:
I'm experiencing another issue:
After Pie update, i have to re-pair my phone every single time with my Pioneer bluetooth radio unit. I tried to clear BT Devices Memory on the unit and did the same on the phone without success...
Everything was fine in last Oreo build... Any suggestion?
Hi guys, I have a problem with my new Android car stereo, you cannot activate the wifi, unfortunately I only have this information on what can depend on it? In addition to releasing a software update that has not solved the problem, the manufacturer cannot indicate other solutions.
