I need to flash stock firmware on an Xperia X Compact (bootloader locked, unrooted). I wanted to know which Flashtool options to check or leave unchecked for a full factory reset (no user data needs to be saved). Thank you.

Dear All,
As it says in the topic, could someone please guide me on how to update my S4 already rooted to the latest firmware I9505XXUBMGA downloaded from Samsung-updates. I am in UK and this is unbranded phone.
* All I wanted to know is how to use oDin on rooted phone?
* Would it be better to factory reset and restore the data through Titanium Backup?
* Or just carry on flashing through ODin?
* Will my data after flashing the firmware will remain there or it will be erased?
* will this firmware is Rootable?
Thanks for your help and suggestions which is much appreciated :good::good::good:
Hi, the process is fairly easy , open Odin, click the PDA box, locate the firmware, put your phone into download mode, plug your phone in your pc (it should say added) and hit start, after a while your phone will reboot and it should say pass on the top left of Odin. Your phone should now be updated.
All your data should remain on your phone, it's just an update.
I can't tell you if it's rootable since I have the i9500 but I'm sure it is. Just search around.

As you have an I9505 (assumed from the firmware you are trying to flash) then use Mobile ODIN, the paid version is best for this.
You can download the rom, put the tar.md5 file onto your sd card and flash through Mobile ODIN. It will keep root and flash the rom. All data should be left intact unless you tick "wipe cache/data" then you will be stock factory reset but still rooted.
If you run triangle away before you flash the flash count will be reset too....
Hello ! I was rooted with poweruser rom and decided to go back to stock i used the reset flashtool and successfully got back to stock but had a problem with the flashtool "Factory Reset Flag = 6
Factory Reset Flag Check Fail!!!
00000064
Error: Factory Reset Flag Check Failed" but i got to the homescreen(lg user interface) so i didnt really pay much attention to it. I want to root the phone and flash poweruser rom but had a doubt though, will flashing delete everything on the phone including stock image ,absolutely everything ? Please say yes ! I want to only be running the poweruser rom and not the stock image too from resetting the phone. Please help me !!
I need help
I successfully rooted, unlocked the bootloader and installed CM11 on my Z1C, but now I have a hardware fault (microphone sounds terrible) and need to send the phone back to Sony. As far as I know I need to put a PURE STOCK kernel and ROM on my device before locking the bootloader? Does anyone know what I need to do/where to get the PURE STOCK files from? any info would be greatly appreciated.
Use the Sony Companion application to install your region's stock firmware?
Keep in mind that to restore your TA backup you need root. I advise you to upgrade to a rooted stock firmware (and stock kernel), restore TA backup (thus relocking bootloader). After that, flash again a full stock firmware (preferably your stock cust #) and wipe everything.
Hey guys
I decided to try out BTU firmware, but now want to get back to my old one as I plan to sell the phone.
No matter what I seem to be trying I cannot get my CSC to go back to what it originally was (SEB) as it keeps reverting back to TPH for whatever odd reason. Both are part of the SM-G928F OXX multi CSC; so it's all cool, but why the phone specifically chooses TPH...? That beats me. I even tried to initialize it using the Smart Switch - still no luck.
Is there any to force the device to change that without rooting the device?
When you change the csc do a hard format it will or should go back to default csc.
I do a downgrade to 5.1.1 via odin with phone efs clear checked , factory reset and back to 6.0.1 from the region (csc) i want !!!
My Solution, but with Root
Since my Operator activated VoLTE and Wifi-Calling I wanted to go back to my original CSC. But I had for long the same problem as above and finally found a way, but only by rooting my device:
My Operator Firmware SWC is in a Multi-CSC from Vodafone Group. After installing a custom rom, which was not containing my initial CSC, i stuck on the default CSC SIM (Slovenia) when I wanted to go back to my original CSC/Stock Firmware. No matter what I did, i was not able to get my original CSC!!
Here what I did (Attention, will fully wipe all data and tripping Knox):
1. Clean install: Download and flash your Stockfirmware with SamFirm and Odin
2. Do initial setup until your device is ready to use, and you are able to install apps
3. Go back in Download Mode an root your device with Chainfire CF Auto Root (flash .tar with Odin, do not install a custom recovery!)
4. once rebooted, install Shortcut Master (Lite) from the Play Store
5. In the Shortcut Master choose the "Secret Code Explorer"
6. Browse the codes until 83052020........... (Preconfig, PreconfigBroadcastReceiver), open it with root method
7. Now you can choose your original CSC and click on Install
8. Your device will now do a Factory Reset and change to your new/old CSC!
9. You can setup your device again and you should be back on your CSC you wanted to be!
=> The trick is, that only the original recovery is performing a correct change of CSC! As long you as you have a custom recovery, it will most probably not work!
I hope that way will help other to solve this problem.
I need help. my s6 G928T sim no detcted
Hello,
i unlocked my Bl, root phone and backuped TA. Everythings running fine in the past.
I didnt used it for a long time.
Now i updated firmeware with flashtool.
After this every simcard i put in the phone shows "locked, only emergency calls."
I tried:
Full wipe.
Flash different fw by flashtool
Last try i flashed latest stock fw by sony "Emma" (phone now doesnt start because of decrypt error.)
After this flash with flashtool, do root, backup TA.
Everything is Ok, but simcard is still locked.
What happens, all cards working in other phones.
