Hello everyone.
I've been using my Joying JY-UL1282N2 for a couple of years now, and I'm really happy with it. But last week the screen has been making problems. I feel that there's a contact issue which causes the screen to suddently turn off. Pressing on the bottom of the screen bezel causes the screen to work fine. The touchscreen works all the time, even when the screen is off.
Here's a video showing the problem:

I think it's a hardware issue. Is there a simple way to fix this? I really have no need to upgrade the unit, it's still running the stock ROM too.
Thanks for any help!

hi guys, I have a problem, my screen keeps doing this thing where it stops working, it looks like the device has crashed, but all the buttons work fine. the touch sensors for the screen works about 30% of the time. I've just figured tho that if I twiddle the screen a little it works again. but does it again soon after.
does this sound like it needs to go back to shop for repairs? does it sound broken?
please give your replies.
I have a similar problem with the screen:
- Sometimes (once or twice a day) the Universal does not accept touch screen input.
- Then I twist the screen back and forth.
- After this touch screen works again.
How can avoid this?
BTW, is there a method to physically fix the screen in landscape?
I only use the Universal with the screen oriented in "Laptop" Mode.
Hey everyone, I will try to explain this as best as possible. I have the Cingular 8525. My touch screen thinks something is touching it. For example, I turned on screen taps in the sound settings, and I can hear it randomly tapping whenever I'm not touching it. Normally I would think its malfunctioning but when I take out the battery and let it sit for about 10 minutes and turn it back on, the screen will work for a little bit then I will hear the clicking sound. I have flashed it back to the stock ATT rom and it still does it. Any hope that this is a software issue?
Sorry man it is not software issue. Better fix it in to do it yourself thread, search for yourself. Or send it for repairing
Ok, thanks for the quick reply. I was hoping, oh well.
Ok so i bought a brand new Nexus S two days ago, the problem is in landscape mode the touchsreen randomly becomes unresponsive for a few seconds or until i change position or turn screen off and then on again or rotate the phone and back.
The wierd thing is it only happens in landscape mode when holding it so the buttons are to the right but if i flip the phone so that its still in landscape but the buttons are to the left it doesn't happen and works flawlessly.
I searched the net and found various touchscreen problems with nexus s, but didnt really find the exact problem. Can anyone tell if its a software issue or a hardware issue?
Also this Nexus S is with Super LCD and not AMOLED
Thanks

I had a similar problem. Happened to me a few times on different custom roms. However, my screen is Super AMOLED. I'm just scared it might be a hardware issue so I'm always ready to unroot my phone and get it back to stock so I can return it for repair.
Butt.... I think that it might be a sofware issue since the touchscreen is only unresponsive until you lock and unlock your device. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that it doesn't happen again for a while. Always gives me a scare :O

Is it running a custom ROM?
I have a big problem. My phone "forgets" it's screen alignment options and not responding properly. Sometimes if i want to "hit" something I have to touch 1cm up or down. Every time is different. At first I thought that this is a software issue, so I flash the ROM. But didn't work at all. The problem stays. When i realign the screen it act normal for several seconds or minutes. Can anyone help me with this problem?
My father had the same problem... I've unscrewed (uncrafted ? or anything you want ^^' ) it and removed all the components than put them back, now there'snt any problems anymore. Quite strange, huh? ^^
I solved the same problem after I have replaced the touch.... Also take care at sound buttons when you DIY.
Hey everyone,
the last days, the screen of my DE-JY-VM130N2 is turning black. The unit seems to function completely, except the screen. Even touch functionality works. Has anyone ever experienced this?
That maybe some problem on the main board, you can contact Joying support to get after sale support
I guess the problem is the core board soldering off.
