Hi everyone,
I updated the Xiaomi system launcher on my Redmi Note 7 yesterday, and since then there is a new animation whenever I unlock my phone with the fingerprint sensor. I kinda hate it, as it gives the impression that the whole unlocking process is now slower.
Does anyone know how I could get rid of it?
Thanks in advance!!
Edit: Oh and I tried to disable all the animations in the accessibility menu, but it had no effect on that one...
Uninstall updates of System Launcher.
Have you checked Launcher Settings?

Thanks for the suggestions. I checked the Launcher settings, and seems like there's no way to disable it. I also uninstalled all the updates as you suggested. It actually worked without animation for 5 minutes, and then back to the animation even though the update is still pending. I guess I'll just have to get used to it :cyclops:
Redmi note 7 lockscreen animation
Hi there. I've recently updated my system on my redmi note 7 and it says lockscreen animation. I honestly have no idea where to enable/disable this. Any help is needed.

Hey all,
Weird thing just started happening yesterday on my Nexus. Whenever I power on the tablet, I am prompted for the default launcher choice. This shows up on the lockscreen, so somehow the unit is forgetting that adw is my default launcher. Once I make the choice, all is good. Just bugs me that I have to do that everytime.
I am rooted, and used that to change my screen density settings to get a real tablet look rather than the enlarged phone look. No problems there as this just started yesterday. I have installed home switcher and that did not do the trick. Could it be a conflict with a recently installed app?
Any insight or ideas would be greatly appreciated!
I'm not sure but things you can try:
Goto adwlauncher app settings and unset defaults and sleep tablet, and reset defaults on the lockscreen with always
Convert adwlauncher to a system app and repreform the above. (Requires root) may not help, but I believe this may cause adwlauncher to run quicker and not throw anr's although I haven't seen 1 anr on my nexus 7 yet!!
Disable the stock launcher. Settings, apps, all, launcher, force stop, disable. (No root req'd)
You can also try clearing the defaults here first to see of it helps.

Thanks for the reply Joe!
Your ideas prompted a little targeted searching and I discovered I could 'freeze' the stock launcher (disable it) using Titanium Backup. My Nexus booted right into ADW as I wanted.
Thanks!

Hi everyone,
Sorry if this has been asked before, been looking for an answer for ages now.
How can I disable the system lockscreen? I've googled and tried a lot of suggestions but just can't seem to get rid of it?
People have even said that there is an option under Lock screen that has "none". On my device that certainly isn't an option in Lockscreen...
The reason why I'm trying to get rid of it is because its conflicting with "dodol launcher". The dodol launcher locker comes on and after I swipe that screen off, it brings the system locker up after...
If someone could please help me with this that would be amazing!!!!!!
Thank you,
Chad.
Hi guys,
I had been scouring the internet looking for how to setup the stock lock screen on the ZF2 because I hated those 3 bubbles for camera, phone and messaging on the front screen and had no success.
Turns out there is a simple box you have to uncheck to get the stock lock screen working
Go to Settings>Lock screen> and uncheck "Quick access"
I feel really dumb because its been bothering me for more than a month now but I hope this helps anyone else who has this issue!
You can also change the apps that get accessed by clicking on "Quick access" instead of clicking the "on/off" switch.
so is it necessary to make a thread about this easy setting?
you can easily find all tips and tricks about zenfone 2 on YouTube, you can find many videos named "things you need to know after buying asus zenfone 2"., you can find many useful tips and tricks in this forum as well...
Freezing the ASUS weather app makes it even more like stock too. Shame you can't center the clock on the slide lockscreen.
With weather app frozen:
Edit: Actually, after rebooting this removes the clock from the lockscreen completely.
you can also delete "lockscreen" from /system/app. This will give you the real aosp lock screen

I tried to delete it but get "permission denied". If I freeze the ASUS lockscreen system app, I still get the same lockscreen anyway.

Fitst of all you need to be rooted, secondly you need to use a file manager like root explorer or root browser to mount rw, but freezing will result in the same thing anyway

I'm trying to freeze it, but I can't find it in Titanium Backup. Is there another app I can use to freeze it, or is it called something weird?

com.asus.lockscreen 1.0.1
How does the AOSP lockscreen look? I did this on my old phone once, the lockscreen ended up not being worth it. (Buggy/frequent crashes when inputting PIN)

So I froze that, but my lockscreen didn't change, even after a reboot. I was hoping the lockscreen would be AOSP so that I can set 5 or 6 app shortcuts in there (via GravityBox). What am I doing wrong? Do I need to go into the file system and delete stuff?
With the ASUS lockscreen app frozen I get no change whatsoever in the appearance of the lockscreen (still has the off-centre ASUS Clock/Weather widget and swipe to unlock). With the weather app frozen I get a blank lockscreen with swipe to unlock.
i tried different lockscreens from playstore.for me hi locker is the best
Use hi locker its far better lockscreen than native lollipop or zen ui 's

How do you remove default lock screen? There's no none option only swipe.
EDIT: Never mind, just had to remove guest user.
Use this xposed module with any widget

Is there any LOCK SCREEN application on google play store which disables the Nokia X2 original lock screen?
I have tried a bunch of applications , but they neither operate nor disable the original lock screen.I want a lock screen which also includes WIDGETS like original Nokia x2 lock screen and also include PATTERN UNLOCK.
Do we have to ROOT for PATTERN UNLOCK ?
Do we have to ROOT for ENABLING another LOCK SCREEN APPLICATION ?
Is there any lock screen application which supports Nokia X2 Lock screen WIDGETS ?
Is there any application with all of the above features ?
Please help me .
Thank You.
Dont know any lock screen with widgets like x2. But give HiLocker a try, stock lock screen can be disabled through it. Just select none option. It got some odd lollipop and I-phone ui fusion, but it looks nice. Also shows notifications. Im currently using it.
just replace it with any locker from playstore, and dont forget to disable stock lockscreen

Does anybody know if the Pixel style weather widget on the Nova Launcher home screen works on the OnePlus 5? As far as I can tell I have everything enabled correctly but the weather won't show up. I've read that this feature doesn't work on Samsung phones. Does it also not work on the OnePlus 5 or am I missing something?

Works for me. You have it enabled in the labs menu under Nova settings?

Yes I did. The option to choose to display the weather on the home page doesn't show up unless you enable it in labs first. Maybe I'm missing a permission or setting somewhere but I can't seem to find it. Are you running stock unrooted?
Restarting Nova Launcher from within Nova Settings immediately fixed the issue. ☺
