Does anybody know if the Pixel style weather widget on the Nova Launcher home screen works on the OnePlus 5? As far as I can tell I have everything enabled correctly but the weather won't show up. I've read that this feature doesn't work on Samsung phones. Does it also not work on the OnePlus 5 or am I missing something?

Works for me. You have it enabled in the labs menu under Nova settings?

Yes I did. The option to choose to display the weather on the home page doesn't show up unless you enable it in labs first. Maybe I'm missing a permission or setting somewhere but I can't seem to find it. Are you running stock unrooted?
Restarting Nova Launcher from within Nova Settings immediately fixed the issue. ☺

Thanks for your reply dude m.but yeah i did select it as Base launcher ... but same.issue
I have the same issue. After a few days it says that nova launcher has a massive error and i cant open settings.
Good thing I've got TWRP
Is Nova set as a protected app in 'settings > advanced settings > battery manager'?
I've had similar issues with trying to install Nova on Honor 9 Lite with EMUI8. On first install I got a pop-up saying something like '...different launcher is likely to use more battery...' then adding EMUI specific widget FCs, I understand not being able to add it but why does it show up as available in Nova and then FC ? Anyway it also keeps defaulting back to the EMUI launcher every chance it gets; i.e. any little thing going wrong and you have EMUI launcher back regardless of what you set up as default launcher. I suspect Nova will put out an update for it eventually.
I've tried 7.0 and went back to 6.0, starting from scratch in the process and I'm trying to add this widget to Nova launcher. It seems impossible now and according to the internet is was never possible. However, I'm sure I did it before, as I have a screenshot here:

Can anyone help? I'm positive this is not a 3rd party app.
I didn't think you could add native widgets to alternative launchers. I have Nova launcher and use HD Widgets for my weather and clock on the home page.

Apparently no one thinks so, but I did it, with proof right there... I just have no idea how I did!

It was possible. I did that too with my S7. It disappeared after upgrading to Nova 5.0
A way round the clock weather issue
I too had this problem. After many attempts I added a stock nova weather widget on the right and a stock clock widget on the left. It seems OK to me. Some resizing necessary to achieve the desired effect.
Any idea how to enable round icons on Galaxy S8 like tbe ones on the Pixel? I do not want to use custom launcher. I have installed Pixel Launcher and Pixel launcher icons but still does not give me the round icons for many apps like Youtube, Play Store, Play Music, etc. I hope someone could help me out.
Use nova launcher and a pixel icon pack. Works fine for me
There is no way to have them round.
That being said, samsung did include a frame option in an attempt to make the icons unified as look.
You can find that option in settings - display - icon frames.

I don't believe that there is no way. I have seen before that it's like a one line of code that triggers the use of round icons of the app as long as the app itself supported it. I just can't seem to find that thread now.

Hello,
I have been using Nova Launcher Prime for months, and the only issue i am experiencing is that, it cannot add icons to the homescreen from the Google Playstore, and most especially, the shortcut to the Facebook groups i am managing.
This is the only setting in Nova that I have found and as you may see, it is already active but i am still having the same problem. Any help, please?

Is the setting is ticked in your Playstore app ?
If yes untick it, because if not, the icon is added to your Huawei Launcher instead, even if it's not your default launcher
Hi,
Yes indeed it was ticked. But now, i already unticked it.
The thing that I am also trying to figure out was about the Facebook groups that I am trying to share at the homescreen, but like what you have said exactly, it goes to the Huawei default launcher, and not on Nova.
Thanks for replying to my query btw ?

Uncheck the Play Store feature and ensure that the Nova feature is active
I will send you screenshots soon

There you go
Is anyone using Nova and if so are the Android 10 gestures working? On my Pixel 4 XL they were working on Nova. Not working on the S20. Was wondering if anyone else is experiencing this?
Same thing, totally bumming me out. Works on the stock samsung launcher.

I got the warning on the Pixel when I installed Nova that the gestures would not work but they ended up working just fine.
Same, I still might go back it but I'm liking the s20 so far. Bet there is a launcher that is compatible, I'm going to need it because I'm so acclimated to the gestures at this point.
Sorry wrong thread

The options on the "full screen gestures" nav are blocked when you use Nova Launcher unfortunately.
Temporary solution for me. Good Lock and one handed operation. At least I can get back swipe to go back.
I use edge gestures and have it setup so that swipe from left to right is back, swipe down is home, and swipe up is recents apps
Then use immersive manager to hide navigation bar. That's been my setup for a while and is the first thing I do when seeing up a new phone
Just a heads up to those looking for another possible solution

I think this is great for the home screen, but the idea is to be able to use the gestures in every app.

Edge Gestures does work in every app. It's an app in the play store that I was referring to
I was describing my setup with that app and not Nova Gestures, which I also use. Sorry for any confusion
Best way around it is use Nova launcher with fluid gestures, work awesome!
you can use the gestures of android 10 with nova using this command by adb, I have it activated.
adb shell cmd overlay enable com.android.internal.systemui.navbar.gestural

Can confirm this works.
You can disable it by changing the settings back and forth.

No, it does not.

works like a charm bro. thanks for the help. it was really helpful.
earlier i was using a Oneplus 6T, so with it even after warning message from nova on gestures, full screen gestures worked smoothly. once i moved to S20+ 2 weeks back i was looking for the option on how to enable this option as default launcher sucks once u used Nova.
