I upgraded and got this phone on launch day. All in all I'm pretty happy with it. It's definitely a premium phone.
The thing that confuses me, is the 12Gb of RAM and I'm seeing apps like Imgur and Netflix freeze while trying to use them.
The only thing I can think may have been an issue was that I recovered a Google based backup (which was backed up from my OP7Pro) during install.... But that shouldn't affect these apps?
I have deleted these apps. Cleared the apps cache and data. Etc etc
Anyone have any thoughts on a solution? Thanks in advance
@AlphaKoi
Go to display options and switch to 60Hz, see if this problem occurs in these applications. Not all applications are suitable for 90 Hz.
I know that this device was just released but do you guys believe that it will be rootable very soon. Thanks In advance!!!

I read that TMobile replaced the Dual SIM Tray with a single sim tray and locked out dual sim function. Can you confirm?

Yes. There is only one sim card slot.
I hope we can enable dual SIM soon.
I already ordered dual sim tray . Let's see who can come up with firmware changes needed for dual sim
For those following.....I cleared app cache and rebooted. Haven't had any issues since but I will update as necessary

Almost every app freezes followed by a soft reboot. Clearing cache didn't resolve. Trying 60Hz and will report back

Problem solved. I was beginning to fall in love with the 90 Hz display. 60 Hz looks so dull now.
Just to add, I do not have this problem.
i had problems qhen i restored my google backup, like bluetooth didnt want to work, so i just rebooted, might want to reset and try netflix without the backup restore
I would like to add I had some battery issues as well from a brand new out of the box phone and said fudge it, factory wiped.
All issues dissipated.
Anyone of you have the ghost touch issues while charging yet? I got the issue on the 2nd day. happens when using whatsapp mostly.
The only issue I've run into was just out of the box. It would not recognize my SIM card for more than a second. Kept going back and forth between being detected and no SIM. I did a factory reset, and that took care of it. No issues so far, super fast. I came from a 6T, very simple switchover, and I'm definitely loving the Mclaren.
Chrome is crashing every time. I also tried Yuzu browser and that crashed also. Anybody using Chrome can tell me if they had any issues with Chrome?

I had the same issue too, It wouldn't detect any sim card. I that to factory reset the device twice before it eventually detected it.

Mine didn't either. The regular OnePlus 7T did. As to your other question about Chrome crashing, I have had no issues with it or Firefox, which is my preferred browser.

So I got my Nexus 4 yesterday, and I received the consumer update of 4.2. I proceeded to load up Google wallet and it stays on the "setting up wallet, this may take up to 5 minutes." It never loads and I end up just force stopping it. I've tried clearing the data, and restarting the phone and nothing works.
Has any one had any luck or run into this same issue?

I setup Google Wallet after downloading the OTA, and again after unlocking and rooting. In both cases, it worked fine, although after rooting you get the message that the device is "unsupported," but it still operates without issue. It did take a few minutes to setup, but it didn't crash.
It took a few minutes for mine to setup, you probably just need to wait a bit longer.
I let it sit for about 10 mins, but I'll try again.
Thanks for replies.
On a side note I've noticed that NFC is eating 23% of my battery. -_-
I suppose this could possibly still be a software bug. I've determined that letting Google Wallet sit open doesn't remedy the original issue. And if I try to back out or force close Wallet and try to go into the "More" menu in Settings to disable NFC it locks up the Settings app. I'll just leave NFC off so it doesn't eat my battery, and hopefully a fix will be made in the upcoming 4.2.1 update.

I had exactly the same problem and I think I found the solve. You should go to wallet.google.com, login your account, go to devices, and disable your Nexus 4. Your Wallet app on the phone will say removing card, and then it goes back to the add account menu. Now on your Wallet app, add your choose your google account again, and you should be able to register the account, and then add your card.
Hope it helps.
Wallet worked fine for me pre-rooting. I made sure to clear the settings / disable device in the Wallet app before rooting. But post-root, I can't get Wallet to add my card. The same card added fine on my Nexus 7 running Paranoid Android 2.99.
The N4 will sit at that "adding card" for 20 min and then error with a "Add card failed. Try again".
The sad thing id the Galaxy Nexus I had before this ended up with the same "add card failed" error which I never resolved. I've had a ticket open with Google Wallet support for 6 weeks, but despite my constant emailing for an update, I haven't heard back.
I thought buying the N4 would finally get around this. Guess not.

So how do you know without having the phone to test it on if the sim card is an ISIS sim card or not? The reason that I ask is because I just got back from my T-mobile store and asked for a non ISIS sim card and he brought out a micro sim card but couldn't tell me if it was an ISIS card or not. I looked it over and couldn't see any markings that would indicate either way.
I don't have the phone yet (it's ordered) but I'm just trying to get all of my ducks in a row.
Thanks

Yeah, I hope it's not a big thing because I'm liking the phone way more than I thought I would. You can't beat having a battery you don't have to worry about for most of the day.
I was able to get the camera working by force closing the camera app, clearing both the cache and data and then rebooting. I still don't know what the cause was, but hopefully it won't reoccur.

Are you using Nova? I installed Nova immediately and had the same issue because the shortcut it defaulted to was not the Moto camera app. Replaced the home screen one with the app drawer one and it worked fine.
I'm using Nova, but that wasn't my issue. It was occurring no matter how I accessed the camera. The issue is resolved though, so its all good.

Glad to hear it. Hopefully it doesn't come back
The day I purchased my phone after a couple of uses with the front facing camera it just stopped working. When I would try to switch to it I would get an error message. After a restart the button to switch to it had disappeared. I also thought it was maybe because of Nova launchers camera shortcut not defaulting to the correct app. However I tried everything I could think of. Clear cache force stop disable re-enable restart factory reset. Nothing worked. Had to take it back. Haven't had any problems with the replacement. The first one did however have a quite noticeable shaking sound which I thought was some sort of sensor but after getting my new one I believe the front facing camera may have had a loose connection to the motherboard and then became disconnected.

Make sure you have the screen set to standard resolution. Its a known issue.
Has anyone else noticed that when you power the screen off but then want to power it up right away afterwards there is about 2-3 seconds where the screen just stays black? Im wondering if its the animation that is causing this. Anyone else experiencing this?

Since the August update I have observed that the Gallery hangs very often and the pics dont show up immediately. Also the phone in general lags while unlocking. Earlier i used to think its because of the update. But whenever i remove the sd card it works fine. I am using a 64 GB Sandisk 80 mbps class 10 card. Could it be because of the card? Dont wanna spend another 1600 Rs for a card only to find that the problem isnt solved .
Should i try using Samsung card?

That is definitely too much lag.
Are you running stock rom? Running xposed with a lot of modules? I read about the latest aod update gave some users lag. But I don't know the extend of it.

I forgot to precise it is SM-G935FD. I suspected OTA updates at first and I tried factory resetting the Stock ROM through stock recovey multiple times but the lag reappears either immediately or after a few days (without installing new apps). I then decided to root it and flash superman ROM latest version (with SupeSU, Xposed and magisk and with SuperKernel), it got fixed and then for whatever reason it reappeared again. Now I've tried clean installing the same ROM and following the same steps without any luck.
Hello there,
So I've got some updates on this lag that may help others :
-First, it doesn't matter if you're on stock or on custom ROM.
-It has nothing to do with SD cards or LTE network.
-A simple reboot or powering off/on makes the lag disappear momentarily.
-A clean falsh (with smart switch) can help but doesn't make the problem go away indefinitely, I'm not sure why. It still happens after that but a lot less frequently.
-I've narrowed down the bug to Google play Services, anything that it has permissions to access can cause the bug to reappear, installing apps, downloading contents through apps, making a phone call and sometimes taking a picture/deleting it... Etc.
-disabling Auto-updates in Play Store, proved rather helpful.
-Finally, I think that Samsung will fix this lag, intentionally or not, with the Nougat update since it is apparently a compatiblity issue with the latest Google play services updates.
In my experience, doing a clean flash, disabling Auto-updates both in Settings and Play Store makes the lag less frequent. Powering off/on solves it when it does occur occasionally.
Same error
I am also facing the same problem after upgrading to Android N, but I have not find any solution yet.

I'm getting the same problem on my S8 standard. Randomly, the screen will have some artefacts appear (nearly always on the bottom) then it just restarts. Happens in safe mode too so it doesn't appear to be an app causing it. Phoned Samsung and they told me to send it back to the retailers and ask for a replacement.
So that sucks. Besides on this forum I haven't seen anyone else talking about this, so I guess it's not a wide spread problem.

For me it seems to be directly related to biometrics, if I have the fingerprint reader and face recognition enabled at the same time it locks up often.
Or iris scanner and fingerprint reader both enabled I get lockups.
It will get stuck on the always on screen, yippy can press the home button and feel the haptic feedback but nothing happens.

I restored both phones using smart restore.. could it be that I have to manually restore my phone? ie.. install each application seperately
I dont think smart restore is the issue, it has something to do with the lock/AOD screen and power save.
It is getting stuck in some low power state and its not coming back.
I have tested with multiple fresh installs and the issue persists.
I am on my second Verizon S8+ and still having the issue.
Same here .. 2 units.. s8plus on tmobile... decided to factory reset.. didn't install any sofware.. had on wireless charger.. while watching tv I noticed my phone scree n turn on... damn thing just restarted!! Samsung says to run in safe mode to eliminate 3rd party software conflicts.... REALLY?
Mine never restarted or locked up, so must be something particular. Interesting theory about fingerprint and iris scanners conflicting: Once I set up fingerprint, I can't get iris scan to work at all.

You guys that are having issues...
Do you have a Micro SD in the phone?
Yes.. i have max 256
Got my 128 GB OP5 last night and it has been randomly rebooting on me while doing random things. I am trying to figure out a root cause and factory reset the phone again to see if I could figure it out as well but it seems to happen from doing anything as simple as pulling down the notification bar to activating Google assistant or just scrolling through my settings. Nothing seems to be repeatable as it happens intermittently. Wondering if anyone else has dealt with this and may have figured out what caused it otherwise I guess I'd have to order a replacement
No, works fine here.
i dont have OP5 yet so no reboots
No reboot until now but i can't pair any bluetooth device (Sony Smartwatch 3 and Jabra Motion Headset)
Mine hasn't done it yet but the wifi performance is abysmal, random pauses when transferring files, Facebook stopped while trying to set it up.
I have been using the phone since yesterday morning and haven't had any issues at all, not a single bit of lag, no apps crashing or anything. If a reset didn't help it that means it must be hardware problem. I would return it and get a replacement.
Yes, performance seems bad. Had a few reboots and WiFi download speeds are awful.

Quite the opposite for me as the WiFi is stellar and the 5Ghz speeds far outstrip the Nexus 5 this OP5 has replaced.

I've had the same as you -- Bluetooth Pebble & Car & Headphones have all worked amazing (including using AptX HD), and my WiFi speeds have been stellar (>50MBps download (Yes, MBps, not mbps)). My WiFi has not been cutting out in the corners of my house either, unlike my old phones and even laptop!

Yes, it's an issue for me. I've been in touch with OP Bug Hunter staff, and gave them the logs they requested to pass along to engineering to figure out why.
Yeah it kept rebooting on me even today so just got off the phone with OnePlus and an RMA has been created for a replacement device to be sent. Hopefully the next one isn't a problem, I'll keep you guys posted on the progress.
Umm had phone since Sunday not had any issues but today while on a call the phone rebooted it's self and again 20 minutes later just on home screen , I'm stock latest build , bought from O2 store should I take it back and ask for replacement while within my 14 days ??

Mines fine no issues build date 13th June
My phone is back with oneplus now so according to them should have a new one within the next week. Good thing I didn't sell my oneplus 3 just yet
I had two random reboots today and one random shutdown.
All these happened in my pocket and i realized the reboots due to vibration from reboot.
And one time I pulled it out of my pocket it was turned off.
Hi,
Got my phone Yesterday.
Started seeing random reboots today. Running latest version. I also did an factory reset of the device after I upgraded to latest version..
Any way I can troubleshoot this? Could an app be causing something like this? I do suspect that this started after installing Snapchat.. But I'm not sure..

I'm getting random reboots about every other day or so. Would this be indicative of a software issue versus hardware? I figure if this many people are having issues, but many are not, the hardware may not be a problem? This is my first OP device, so I'm just guessing. Hoping if it IS a software issue they can release an update soon!

Just got back from O2 store replaced with new device although it's the same manufacture date as one with issue 6/6/17 so far ok but it's only been on couple hrs so to soon to say, I'm convinced it was since 4.5.3 update as didn't do it before update but while i was in my 14 day return thought replace it anyway , I did contact 1+ before hand to ask if it's software or hardware all I got in reply was !! We will need proof of purchase to continue replacement procedure , that made alarm bells ring so hence straight back to O2 as it's far quicker than retuning to 1+ , I'm currently on 4.5.0 and not keen on updating ?
