Hello. I have an unlocked SM-G935F which I'm unable to boot normally nor in recovery mode, I always get this error message:
Custom binary blocked by FRP Lock.

I can only boot in Download mode.
Apparently this happened because I disabled Developer Options, it may have triggered some kind of anti-tamper protection. I read the only way to fix this is by flashing stock firmware. I have pictures on the Internal Storage I don't want to lose, is there a way to mount the storage or to boot the phone without wiping the internal memory (the bootloader is already unlocked)?
It may work in recovery mode via twrp. If it doesn't work, I believe there is no other way to recover your device.

I do have TWRP installed, but I can't get to it with the Vol Up + Home + Power buttons combination, as I get this error all the time, as I get it when trying to boot normally. Is there a way to boot recovery from Download mode, as it's possible to do in Fastboot mode?

My N7 ended up in a boot loop after the 5.1 update. I can get to the bootloader and I can get to recovery. HOWEVER, the bootloader is still locked and the debugging mode is not enabled.
In fastboot, I can send the OEM unlock command, but the N7 screen just blinks and comes right back to the bootloader screen saying that the current status is locked.
I can go to the recovery screen and get to the option to sideload, but when I try to sideload the system file, it always says that the footer is wrong and that the signature verification failed. I've tried several different files from the Android factory images.
I've also tried the Nexus Root Toolkit and the SkipSoft Toolkit and they don't seem to work either.
ANY help would be appreciated.
Welcome to the bricked N7 club. Same thing happened to mine after taking the OTA 5.1 update.
+1 Also the same here Lock state - Locked nothing works, also the recovery mode is not working on mine (think I wiped the device somehow)
Anyone know how to fix the recovery mode also? I cant Flash recovery as the bootloader is locked?

I'm still struggling with this. I've tried the Nexus Root Toolkit v 2.0.5 and it doesn't seem to do anything. I can tell it to unlock the bootloader, but at the top of the screen it just says "unlocking now........" and never unlocks it.
Starting to get really frustrated......
Hi, everyone.
I have a galaxy s8 SM-G950FD. I have once flashed TWRP and rooted the device successfully.
Then I tried to install a custom ROM but I got bootloop.
After that, I flash official ROM to unbrick my device. But since then, whenever I tried to flash TWRP again I got this message "Verification failed unable to restart your device the integrity verification has failed. You need to reset your device to factory default settings. This will erase all your data."
My device is still working fine but I want to try to flash a new ROM (even if I may brick my device forever). I don't know what to do. Can you guys give me some advice ?
Thank you!
It's quite a simple fix I think: You need to make a backup of the Data partition and then do a wipe using TWRP. This happens because TWRP cannot handle Samsung's Encryption; the only way to bypass this problem is by formatting once again.

But I cannot boot into TWRP. How can I do that ?
If you're stuck in the bootloop you should press the force reboot key combination: Power Down + Home + Power. After the device restarts switch the Volume Down key for the Volume Up key right after the screen goes blank. That should get you into TWRP (if it's correctly installed), otherwise directly into the stock recovery.

I cant flash/get into TWRP. I tried to boot into stock recovery and do a system wipe/factory reset. Then I flash TWRP again but nothing seem to happen. I tried to boot into recovery and it get me to the stock recovery not TWRP.I did unlock OEM, used Odinv3.12, twrp-3.1.1-2-dreamlte.img.tar.
I had the same issue.
After Odin has flashed the Recovery it performs an auto reboot (if checked in Odin). So at this reboot hold Vol up + Home + Power as soon the screen goes of. You need to be quick. Then it should boot into TWRP.
True, Samsung's stock recovery is very persistent lately and if you tick the auto-reboot you have to be very fast in switching to Recovery mode combo.
Otherwise you can choose not to tick auto-reboot, force restart the device after the TWRP flashing was successful and immediately switch to the Recovery combo.
Here you go: two ways of doing this.
Hey. I tried to root my phone with CF Auto Root but it stuck with the Samsung Logo (no bootloop, just stuck there). I managed to restart it. But when I went to the Download Mode I saw a blue screen with a "!" in a yellow warning sign and the line "no command". Then I am in the stock recovery mode.
The system dont allow OTA because I modified the system. I dont have a problem with that, but I need to get into the download mode to flash TWRP.
p.s.: When I am in the stock recovery mode I tried to "boot into bootloader", but it didnt work.
Ok, I give up on android. I just tried it two more times and suddenly all worked fine. DAFUQ?!?!!?
Edit: Ok, I always get the message "Custom Binary blocked by FAP Lock".
What does this mean? It blocks my acces to TWRP. Also I cant flash things with download mode.

I usually heard about an FPR lock message but FAP lock is the first time (samsung really needs to rename that one  ) anyway , FRP lock happens if you forgot to enable OEM unlock in dev option before trying anything on your phone so if you can access download mode reflash stock firmware and do all the process again otherwise you'll need someone more experienced of me but I'm afraid that if you can't access download mode you're in a bad situation..
If you want to be helped in a better way provide more info about your phone for example wich model you have got, wich firmware were you on before all of this happened and so on
Hope you'll find a solution!
Ok, I managed to reset it. I use the G935F with Exynos. But now I have another problem: The CF-autoroot AND the TWRP make my phone stuck in the Samsung Boot Logo (no bootloop, just stuck). DAFUQ? Why?

It might be necessary to wipe data maybe? In TWRP --> wipe --> format data --> type yes and reboot but be carefull, I didn't use this autoroot since I prefer the "standard way" so make sure you have a backup! Ah, and leave it at least 5 mins at boot logo.. mine takes that much to boot after every flash
Thx, Format Data worked. Now I´m fine.
So here is my situation: SM-G950U with a fresh clean install of stock 9.0 firmware via Odin. Phone reboots, and begins setup. However, I'm met with FRP warning. No big deal, since I know a way around that, but I need to reboot to download mode first and install safestrap to do it. Problem is that neither button hold combination does anything except boot the phone normally. Vol up nor vol down + Bixby + Power provide results from a reboot or a powered off state, except boot the phone normally. I cannot use adb commands either because developer options are not yet enabled because I can't get passed the FRP screen. I should be able to access both modes regardless of what stage of setup the device is in, correct? I know I have before. Is this some kind of security patch? Is there any other way to get to download mode to use Odin? Or a method to bypass FRP without Odin or a custom recovery, or safestrap? I'm really stuck on why I can't force it using the three buttons during boot/reboot. Thanks in advance for your input.
Seems I found a way to semi brick my SM-T500. I was attempting to install the LOS 18.1 ROM just posted in the guide section. Some how I got the "can only install official" error message on my download screen after flashing TWRP. Made the mistake of flashing only the stock AP without BL or CSC and now I can't get into either recovery or download modes. Holding vol up and down and plugging in USB cable does nothing. Same with holding power button and either vol up or down. Blank screen. Can only power on and boot to system.
Did you install twrp and can you get into recovery. I had similar problem but was still able to get into download mode from power off. However to do so I had to boot into twrp and select reboot and power off... from that menu you can also boot directly to download mode... I know that doesnt halp much if you hadnt installed twrp yet... but thought I would throw that out there...

I can't boot TWRP or download. The only thing that will boot is system. Can't even get to the lock/unlock screen.
can you connect to adb shell? and try #reboot download
or #reboot twrp. I figure if you get to download you can reflash stock and start over.
Also when your trying to boot into recovery try not being plugged in. Not sure about this device but a lot of older Samsung's that I had would not let me get into recovery if I was plugged in during boot.
Locked oem mode
Locked download mode
Locked wipe factory
Locked update from sd card
Recycling item...
Need factory reset
I saw alot of issues with twrp so I tried Magick for first time ever on my SM-T500 and had a minor hiccup bc I wasn't paying attention to firmware and installed an old AP with newer firmware but ended up just reflashing the whole tablet with the same firmware as the AP that is required for Root and presto it worked! AND HEY IM DEF A NEWBIE!

Yeah I've run into the same thing, I originally missed the step to run Magisk after I flashed the patched tar and rebooted into the System and it triggered the "Prenormal KG state" problems. Finally I managed to flash stock ROM back and got to exactly where you are now.
I was able to just flash the patched Magisk AP without CSC and BL, and now it will only go to stock recovery and was able to get TWRP to work once but couldn't factory reset or wipe cache due to (which I assume was) a ton of mounting failures when it loaded.
Anyone else have suggestions to get this thing stable so I can flash LOS? I can get to Download mode.
hello, I post this because it's seems the same subject. I have to password protected (forget password) original rom tablet (non root). For me the datas are not important , I just want to remove the password or reflash with original rom. I downloaded Odin , usb driver and correct firmware. I select AP firmware with Odin, I see the connexion (COM3 green) and it's stuck to "setup connexion".
My problem is that it's impossible to enter in download mode.
When I try to shutdown the tablet, it ask me for a password.
When I press for seconds the power button , after few second I see the Samsung Logo and the tablet restarts.
I try to press volume up, volume up and volume down etc...but each combinaison...no recover, no download mode, nothing and impossible to flash . is it normal ? how to do to unsticked SetupConnetion ?
regards
bruno

This is not the same as my problem. My problem is that I flashed AP without BL and the two don't match. It isn't that things are locked but that I can't boot to anything but system. Can't boot recovery or download so I can't flash ANYTHING. Not even stock.
