Hi.
I have been using the full screen gestures on android 9 as well.
But in the new android 10 update, theres a new button under the full screen gesture settings "more options".
For me, that button is greyed out.

Thats weird... mine is working fine... I dont have that problem...
You must be using a third party launcher. if you are you can get it to work thru adb. This will force the full screen gestures - adb shell cmd overlay enable com.android.internal.systemui.navbar.gestural

Same here, lawnchair and mine is greyed out, i am using fluid navigation gestures, i do have full gestures but had to disable fng bottom gestures as the OneUI settings in fng would let bottom gestures work fine but make the dock area of the screen a little bit Finneky sometimes unresponsive.
Left and right are working correctly from fng and stock bottom gestures are working correctly.

You can run the adb command to hide navigation bar or use OneUI Option, but i find that if i hide navigation bar i get an offset of screen at the bottom some buttons and options dissapear from view. If i use OneUI Option sometimes the dock area of the screen is unresponsive in some apps. I have them both disabled.

Is there a guide that'll help me do this?
That is incredibly ridiculous that we cannot use native Android 10 gestures in a Galaxy device if we're using mega popular launchers like NOVA.

I'm using nova launcher, fluid navigation gestures for the sides and i disabled fluids bottom gestures and the native gestures seem to be working.
I combine standard Samsung gestures with the samsung one-handed operation plus app.
What is interesting is that even on 10 and the stock launcher you do not get the full android 10 gestures anyway, the swipe the bottom task switching for example is not there which is a shame.
Turn on one hand operation. That's how I got it to work again for me. And I get to keep nova

Could you please list the steps or the settings needed to modify the home screen to rotate. I have spent countless hours trying to configure this and while I can get the screen to rotate it will not rotate properly without either cutting off the text under the apps or showing an additional portion of the adjoining screen. It also will not scroll from screen to screen properly either.
Any help you could provide would be so greatly appreciated.
Thanks.

Root your device
Install Tweaksbox
Inside Tweaksbox, go to "LG Launcher Tweaks" and check "Enable LG Launcher's hidden settings"
Restart phone
Go to Home Screen Settings
You will see at the bottom in bold "Hidden Settings"
Uncheck "FEATURE_DEFAULT_PORTRAITVIEWONLY"
Uncheck "FEATURE_USE_PORTRAIT_ONLY"
Check "FEATURE_USE_ROTATE_LAYOUT"
Check "FEATURE_RESIZING_AND_MAKE_CENTER_Y_WALLPAPER_ON_LANDSCAPE"
I believe that does it right away, but you may have to restart your phone again.

I was simply replying to my own posting where I couldn't remember how I managed to rotate the Home Screens.
I remembered in the end and again answered in reply to both my own statement and being informed I had to root.
There are ton of apps out there that will force your phone to rotate. I use one called alternate rotation control. You can make any app or your any home screen rotate.
Anybody managed to push a recent apps switcher to the shield and have it functional? Or is there one I just can't access built in? Like... Leanback is cool and all but it makes for a terrible recent apps switcher. Also, anybody have a tasker profile to launch an app on double tap off home our like on f2 press of keyboard or something. I'm amazed I can't find anything about this.

I was a little annoyed when I couldn't find it. It's there though. I'm using LMT Pie Controls and Nova Launcher mostly but OmniSwitcher is working too if installed as priv-app. To find the recent app switcher you need to go to Shortcuts>Activities>SystemUI>Overview.recent.RecentsActivity You can set a button on the LMT launcher to access it because its a little pointless to have to return to homescreen in order to launch it, but yea it works pretty much the same as regular

pie only. Havnt tried it with gestures and isas. I imagine it might make navigation a little more cumbersome than it already is. I forgot, that to get that shortcut to show in LMT I needed to set the button to "trigger a shortcut" and then chose "Activities" with the Nova Icon next to it then following the path i wrote earlier. I imagine that there are other apps that you can use to launch activities (AnyCut maybe) if you dont wanna install another launcher. Anyways the recents switcher is part of SystemUI so there is probably more ways to get to it and like I said OmniSwitcher working too. Screenshots...

I use two fingers swipe down instead of double tap. You can set any gesture you want.
Roms have double tap top screen to sleep.
Everyone he already given all info needed. This is one of many reasons why I love roms. I always have a custom tile for screen off and a softkey just for screen off that way I can access it either way and not hit a button. Nexus devices have always had crappy buttons and I don't wanna mess em up by hitting them 20,000 times so thats how I get around it. Lots of great 100% stable custom roms to choose from. Pure Nexus, Chroma, RR, AICP, Aokp, the list goes on.. Nexus is the best device for roms. Cheers.

LMT Launcher supports this. Bind one of the items to key code 29 to do a screen off.
GMD GestureControl (play store) works fine (root)
Just download Nova and set a gesture, no root needed. I pinch the screen to turn it off.

The Best one I've ever seen is run resurrection remix with whatever kernel, elemental is good or Franco. Then simply add an extra nav bar button. So instead I having three at the bottom I have 4. You have the back, home, and recents +power button on the far right of nav bar. A single process turn off long press and you'll get the power menu with screenshot power off and reboot and reboot to recovery that's all you want.

If you can wait 7 seconds, you can use a Tasker shortcut to set the screen time out to 7 seconds, and then restore it after it goes off.

Love the onePlus gestures, but to go back, we use to go to the bottom of the left screen and swipe up. It's tough to reach when using one hand. Any good app to enable just that gesture ?

There are two main gestures: 'Quick swipe' and 'Swipe & Hold' which can trigged from the bottom or side edges of the screen. The side triggers are only available on the bottom half of the screen, allowing you to still access other app side menus.

T Swipe Gestures by Tomiati Dev. You cannot use this and OP6T "full gestures" opiton (the one at the bottom), you can use the other two only...
After you install make sure you choose "BACK" as the action for right and left side and turn off all the sounds and vibrations.. I also disabled the top and bottom actions.
Then go into advanced and make the right and left bars 0% transparant. Now you can swipe to go back. Much needed for this tall phone.

Updated MI 9T to MIUI 11 on Android 10 and ran into a very nasty bug. When lowering the notification panel, the entire interface slides down. When closed, bounces back. It looks disgusting. With stock gestures, everything is fine. But if I activate gestures and hide the nav bar, as the interface leaves the screen. On MIUI 10 with Android 9 Vivid Gestures and other apps works perfectly. Has anyone encountered the same problem? Is there any solution? Stock gestures are very uncomfortable for me.

I understand you correctly that you have activated the navbar in the system settings, but disabled in the application settings, while the gestures in this application are turned on and you don’t have such an interface shift when interacting with the notification panel?
How?

This one? https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.xda.nobar. I have the same problem on all existing gestures apps. Another video - https://youtu.be/-DLdL6A9lM8.
I understand you correctly that you have activated the navbar in the system settings, but disabled in the application settings, while the gestures in this application are turned on and you don’t have such an interface shift when interacting with the notification panel?
How?

Yes, in this case there is no shift, but standard and third-party gestures are mixed, which contributes to some lags of animation during navigation. Unfortunately, this is not a solution to this problem.
