Have a nice day. My Oneplus 5 does not charge when it is on. But it's charging when it's off. It appears when I plug it into the computer. It also appears when I wear a type c headset. But when your power is on, it's not charging. How can I solve this? Please help.

So I assume it's not plugged in. Did you get a plug in notification?
Otherwise your charging port maybe dirty, grimed or the cable has an issue? Lots of possibilities

Sure, you can install stock rom again(I assume you want to make a factory reset).
Depending on which rom you are you can either make a factory reset from Android settings, msm Tool, fastboot or twrp.
But I don't know the following:
What is you current twrp recovery (file name)?
What is your current Rom(file name)?
which firmware has your custom rom(e.g. 5.1.4)?
What is your magisk version?
Is your storage encryped or decrypted?

Hello All,
I've been trying to root my device following this thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1957002
However once I reboot the device pressing the volume down, I don't get the ID:COM to light up in yellow.
If I plug the device in while its on, I do get the ID:COM to light up, so I'm guessing the drivers are correctly installed.
I have no idea what to do...
The reason for using this specific method, is because its supposed to be good for beginners.
I cant seem to find much additional information about what else to do.
Honestly I'm clueless and been searching around for a while online.
Any help would be appreciated.

Instead of power and volume down, I was doing volume up.
Now it worked perfectly.

*Title should read CAN'T get to download or recovery*
Hi guys,
I've rooted all of my phones, got in a few scrapes, but always been able to get into recovery/download mode to rescue a phone that's having problems.
Tonight I updated my CM13 Galaxy S5 to the latest nightly (last update was a nightly in March) using the built-in method (Setting > About ... Download .. Install) which has always worked, but tonight I seem to be stuck worse than ever:
Phone stuck in loop at "installing system update" screen, it flashes briefly then reboots . Around once per second.
Need to pull battery to stop
Won't enter recovery (goes to step one)
Won't enter download (also goes to step one)
I can't get to download or recovery!

You could try a usb jig (available for less than pocket change off eBay) this will force your phone directly into download mode even from a powered off state simply by plugging it into the phones usb socket.......

USB Jig did the trick...used Odin to pop TWRP on again, and that did the trick. It rebooted and came back to life, thank you!
On reflection, I think the problem came about when I started using CyanDelta. With the last CM update (the first I did with CyanDelta) it put Cyanogenmod's recovery in place over TWRP. Next time I tried to use CyanDelta it wouldn't work, so I updated via Settings > About > Update....which seemed to cause the problem.
Now, question is, do I stick with the Motorola Moto G 3rd gen I bought to get me through this week...or go back to the S5!
Glad it worked fella.....
As to which phone to use......
Now *that* is a question only you can answer.......

Hello all,
I'm in a jam here and hoping one of you can help me out.
The power button on my Moto X Pure Edition, which is not rooted, has stopped working completely. The battery died overnight and, obviously, the phone powered off. Now I can't turn it back on. I'd like to get it turned on or at least get my personal data off of it. Does anyone have any ideas?
I have figured out how to get it into AP Fastboot Flash Mode by holding down the Volume Up & Volume Down buttons simultaneously while plugging it into a power source. But, I cannot select "START" (or anything else) from Fastboot because my power button doesn't work.
Hoping I can figure out how to do this without taking apart the phone, which will void my warranty and probably won't result in me being able to fix it anyway.
Thanks so much for your help!

Do you have fastboot installed on your computer? If you do then issue the following command : fastboot reboot
Your phone will now start up.
If you don't, install it. You will have to research how to do it for your system. I'm on Arch Linux, so won't know how to help you, but there will be a google guide.

Hi.
I tried to update my mother in law Huawei p8 lite, phone in settings showed there is a firmaware update available,so I done a backup then download via wifi android 6.0,after download complete its asked me to procced so i click to yes, phone restart to upgrade mode but was stuck on 0% progress for very long time so I tried to restart the phone via power off button but after that phone doesnt start again any more.
So I readed a lot what to do but nothing work for me.
I download android 6.0 to pc then copy dload folder to sd card, then when card in phone I pressed volume + and - and power the same time but nothing happend, phone just vibrate once for very short time and nothing.
I tried also using adb procedure but phone is not recognized in my laptop with windows 8,all drivers installed I believe,I have mined all internet for proper drivers, all adb and fastboot drivers installed, included huawei drivers and HiSuite softaware and even Handset WinDriver installed and windows 8 only seen device like on picture below:

I plugged phone to laptop via usb cable, short vibrate and nothing,so I press power off and volume down same time and laptop see something but not properly, please check below:
ADB not seen any adb device after command "adb devices" .
I can manulally choose driver for that like e.g ADB interface device but ADB still not see anything.
Tried also with disconnected battery couse read on this forum its help sometimes but nothing, still same.
After doing all that just realize sometimes red led blinking so its mean battery is down, and wont charge via usb on the phone,so I charged battery via external charger connected straight to the wires on battery, now red led not blinking.
Tried also on another laptop with windows xp,same ,nothing happend, adb not see anything, but sometimes in device manager phone is recognized as below:
On other forum when is recognized like that its possible to fix but need special usb box, which I ovcourse dont have.
What else I can try?

You can try to do a hard reset I hope does it but it could be hardware issue.
Sent from my SM-A730F using xda premium
The hard reset doesn't work because the phone reboots when I enter to the recovery mode.
Someone told me it may be because I let the phone go to 0%. Do you think it's possible? If that's right, what do you think I can do now?
Thank you

In that case leave it plugged in for a day and then retry reseting. You calibration could be out of whack.
If you are using the Leeco supplied usb C cable, replace it with a higher quality cable.

Completely stock now it's stuck in a boot loop and Recovery mode shows no options at all. Leaving it in Recovery mode leads to a reboot within 2-3 seconds.
