I was just wandering...... From all the developers here, does anyone think if its possible to use the lock button while in camera mode to shoot pictures.
It really seams useless to lock the screen while in camera mode......
I've been quite impressed with all the great work you all put into developing this phone into even better device.

Hi all,
On my old Nexus S running CM10, I was able to map the power button to be used a dedicated shutter button while in the camera app. I really appreciated this functionality. Is there anyway to do this on a rooted Nexus 4 from the stock camera app (or a modded version of it), while running the stock ROM?
I know there are some apps that will do this. For example, Camera FV-5 and VolShutter are capable of this. These apps are not exactly what I am looking for. I'd really like to find a way to do this in the stock app. Also, I'd prefer to remain on the stock 4.2.2 ROM (so CM10.1 is not an option for me).
Any ideas? Thanks in advance for your help!

I am using this :
Camera ICS ( from google play store )
( No photosphere ).
In settings you can choose volume rocker buttons + and - as AF or Soot actions.
I'm looking for a app which can turn on airplane mode automatically to the time and day I set it to, is there a app like this?

Hi,
While using the camera shortcut from lock screen, I noticed that location tag was turned off.
There is no option to turn it on again from the camera app, using the shortcut.
Using the usual camera app from home screen does however give you the option to save the location tag.
Why is this happening? Does it have something to do with access not provided to GPS without unlocking the device first?
Any way to bypass this?

I can't help you with your question however I can say that your phone doesn't need to be unlocked for GPS to function.
Apps such as Facebook and Google now regularly check your location. You can do it manually on android device manager too.

I think this is a security measure.As you can access the camera without unlock your phone ,that would be quite dangerous.

Go to settings, than click to more than application manager. Press to all and disable app you don't use. You can enable later if you need. Than install Greenify and hibernate rest app you don't need in memory. With this you will get at least 30% more battery life... For this method, you don't need to be rooted and only way to get rid of app you don't use. You can easy hybernate any app even you using every day but you don't want them in background.
Don't put Viber or Whatsaap kind of app in hybernate.
