i was in a instagram video call, then the app crashed, and my phone froze so i restarted my phone. currently on havoc os 2.9
the camera popup is stuck and will not close, help?

I too was on a whatsapp video call and the phone froze all of a sudden. Restarted the phone and now the popup camera shows camera error, can't connect to camera. Tried CIT camera pops up normal and goes in as well. It is only the front camera that isn't working. Rear camera works.
I am on stock miui 11.0.4.0 (QFKINXM) nor have I unlocked bootloader.

Only I have the problem on cm 12 and all rom-based on it, on the camera: sometimes just the launch from the lock-screen, sometimes after some shots camera freezes, and fro resume shooting I have to cancel the history through the home button.
You do know that CM12 is a work in progress and there are bugs?

as there are problems regarding gcam 6.x.x version freezing 2gb kenzo.I have tried some combination of settings and tricks for "night sight" to get it working on 2gb kenzo.But don't expect fluidity in operations as processing HDR+.
Settings to do:-
--Change back can resolution to 7.7 mp in settings otherwise it will freeze the phone while clicking photo in night sight.
--Set max and min frames to 3 or probably 4 (3 are best).
--Change input model back and front to nexus 6p.
--Now there are two options:-
Change interface to Pixel I or Pixel II
In Pixel II the details are less while settings are on 7.7 mp as compared to Pixel I.
So better keep Pixel I interface if you want details in photo.But you have to switch to Pixel II interface to get portrait working.
Workaround for night sight:-
It is clear that if we click photo in night sight it will 100% freeze the phone.
So what have to be done is:-
When you go to night sight to click photo,click on that shutter button "when the circle gets complete" which shows of when you click photo,,then immediately I said immediately press the Home Button.You will see the notification regarding processing HDR+.When the notification completes or dissapears then go back to camera from recents screen.
And there you have photo clicked with night sight on 2gb kenzo.I have tried this method a lot of times and it works perfectly.
Do take care of following:-
Pixel I settings will crash the camera or freeze it when in extreme low light conditions.
Pixel II works prefect.But don't expect the fluid experience.

I've noticed that the HDR mode is always active on either the back and front cameras, this happens both for photo and video modes. I've tried to reset camera settings but it didn't work. Other camera apps do not have this problem and pro mode works fine. I'm wondering if a factory reset would fix it.
I'm on August security patch.
In certain video modes (normal, short, timelapse) my Mi9T tilts and flickers the picture to the left on the screen. It's really weird because after installing any 3rd party camera software it works normally.
Any thoughts?
Update: meanwhile it turned out that the image stabilization is the culprit - with IS off it is ok but once I switch it back it happens again...
