I am using an Omnia I8000 with this specs:
pda i8000jpja2
csc i8000xsgja3
phone i8000xxja1and what I want to know is what ROM I should use in order for me to UPGRADE or HAVE A STABLE release.
I was actually pretty excited about my Omnia 2 before especially when it says it is upgradeable to WinMo 6.5. My problem was my camera. It keeps on saying that I have to upgrade my camera firmware. So I went to their service center and have it fixed.
My first visit (Yes, there are more) resulted to my Omnia 2's upgrade to WinMo 6.5 from 6.1. I was pretty excited but when I checked the camera - DANG! It still doesn't work. So I visited them again, after a few more weeks since I am very busy at work.
Second visit (They fixed it!). Yes it was indeed working. They told me that they only reformated my device. Okay. But after months, it went back! The damn camera firmware is asking an update again.
Third visit (They fixed it again!) Okay, this time they said they have replaced the damned chip of the camera. Okay, I was happy but then after a month or 2 - you've guessed it - the camera isn't working again.
Now, I am tired of going back and fort the service center. They may have free service but it is very disappointing. I have never been frustrated on a phone before except this one.
Don't get me wrong. I love my Omnia, but this camera issue is so frustrating. Now, I think if I could hold on to the best ROM for this device I'll probably fix this issue (hoping that re-formatting would help). If it works, then I won't have to go back and forth the service center. Next visit won't be free anymore because warranty expired already.
PLEASE HELP ME GUYS!
Ok, nobody answered but it is okay. In case anyone is asking the same question - I found a working ROM for my device. I used the JH1 ROM and it is working quite okay. I am still adjusting to the new setup. thanks
Hello guys! I`ve just received Le Pro 3 X720 from Banggood. And when i wanted to add my fingerprint - it wasn`t possible. Fingerprint was simply "dead", any vibrations or any informations.
I thought that its just OS problem, so I`ve installed OmniRom... And problem is still out there! Fingerprint is simply not working
Is there any way that it`s OS problem, or I need to send this phone for warranty...?
Thanks!
@edit
And now, when I want to add fingerprint, i`ve got "the settings application has stopped working" every time :|
Hi Are you solved?
The hardware itself is probably dead. That's why you record every unboxing for warranty purposes. Especially when ordering Chinese phones from China.
EDIT: Whoops, didn't see that this thread is from months ago. Oh well, my advice still stands.
I just received today my Leeco Le Pro 2 x720, opened the box, turned on the phone and try to turn on the WiFi toogle but it doesn't work...
I want to believe is a firmware problem and not a hardware one because the Bluetooth looks like working. Should I try changing the ROM? Any other recomendations?
I don't want to lose my warranty...
Thanks in advance.
Had a similar problem. Bought a new pro 3 from amazon seller MallStop flipped on Bluetooth and it immediately turned off. Flipped on the WiFi, it didn't turn off, but it couldn't find any wifi signal even though I was right beside the router. Tried updating with official update, didn't help. Then I tried putting lineage and aicp neither helped. At that point I just returned and rebought from the same seller. The second phone worked 100% although I've since read some shady things from some people who also bought this phone from this seller. Did you happen to buy from Mallstop?
I bought it on Banggod. Thanks for the answer anyway, but I've already fixed it
I unlocked the bootloader, installed TWRP and then I did a full wipe deleting everything, even the OS, let's say I 'bricked' the phone. Then I entered in TWRP mode and ADB Sideload/push a new ROM. After that the problem was gone.
Hello, in August 2017 I bought a cell phone LG G6. The cell phone works fine and in August 2018 I got an update for Android 8 (Urao). About a week ago, the fingerprint sensor stopped working. Every time I put my finger there is a message that you can not use the sensor and try to re-activate the cell phone. I tried to activate and after all this option to set the fingerprint does not appear in the settings of the device. I tried to turn on and off and did not help. I did a test by checking the hardware of the cell phone in the smart doctor and with the fingerprint sensor written "No response, contact the service center" . I tried to wipe cache and hardware reset and other reset. What can be done to fix this? Thanks in advance
I'm trying to figure out if it's related, but my LG G6 H872 (T-Mobile US) has been having the same issue. I'm on the latest build, software version 20d, security patch level August 2018. I'm fairly certain the problem wasn't present before I got the update, but if it was, it definitely got worse. Once in a while the fingerprint options will reappear in my Lock & Security > Biometrics settings, but when it's not working "Face Recofnition" is the only option listed. I'm supposed to have a second year of warranty coverage on hardware failures direct from LG so I'm thinking of filing a claim, but I wanted to sniff around first to see if this is an issue affecting others. I'd hate to get a refurbished replacement handset just to find out this is a software issue affecting everyone.
I got the 20e / October security patch update earlier this week and it didn't seem to fix the problem, however, I've found that powering off the phone for a minute may re-enable the fingerprint reader. I've tried the power-off & restart option multiple times and it doesn't work. At the moment mine is working, and it's been working for about eight hours straight. We'll see if it flakes out again.
Flaked out again, but eventually got it to come back on. Between leaving it off for a while and thoroughly cleaning the sensor something is making it come online again, if only temporarily. I have a theory that it's something about the heat of charging that's causing the issue. I only use the stock LG charger it came with as well as a generic unbranded fast wireless charger. I definitely remember the fingerprint reader error message beginning to appear a few times having just removed it from the wireless charger.
Just in case anyone at all is following this saga, I've decided to send my phone in for service under LG's second year promise warranty program. They asked me to try a factory reset and that didn't help. Then they asked me to send in photos of the front and back of my phone before approving my claim and providing a prepaid shipping label.
This what I did.
Hold the power button until it vibrates and let go.
Do it until the fingerprint error disappears.
Had the same problem, fingerprint worked sometimes, sometimes not.
Mostly it stopped working when it got warm.
After Factory Reset, the option was completely gone in the settings menu.
So I sent it in for repair, today I got it back and now it works again
They replaced the battery cover/back cover and did an software update.
Hi, I'm having the same problem with my LG G6 (H870, V30a-EUR-XX).
I tend to think its link to overheating as proposed by Technosquiq. Do you use a cover on your phone that could have induced a heat build-up?
I either get an bad detection (which can be solved by recording multiple fingerprints for the same finger) or I get two different errors (either "fingerprint not available" or "contact technical support", or something similar: my phone is in French).

Heat gun or hair drier etc

Hello dear people from the all knowing android community,
Today I fixed my old phone (galaxy s6 edge plus) by exchanging the battery myself (ty youtube). I wanted to do so to get back some old pictures from a brighter time & to maybe check if I still have logged in on some accounts there. I am pretty sure my fingerprint is still in the system but since its rebooted I have to use the pincode again.. Its been 3 years and I tried every combo I could think of but no success.. Anyone knows if its possible to bypass the pincode?
I'm eager to hear from you all
Regards, Ezra
