Hello, I'm here to see if there is a way to have more control over the volume levels, because I use the phone in the night and it is too loud in the minimum step before silencing the phone completely, this was no problem when you could use Dolby audio as personalized equalizer and sliding the bars to the minimum, that way was perfect and very silent but you can still hear what you want to listen. but whit the actualization of android 9.0 you can't use the personalized equalizer and you cannot disable dolby audio. and you can only choose from 3 presets... and I tried to connect my phone to modify the volume steps in the system file, but i'm not sure how to do it, because I need to install a bootloader and Root my phone and I'm not sure if doing that would work.

Hello everyone, I have some questions about listening to music I did a search on the forums, but couldn't find an answer.
How can I fix that the music player stops when I turn off the screen when no earphone is plugged in?
Is there a way to set the music volume lower when the earphone is plugged in, now I need to set the sound to the lowest sound bar (wich cannot be done by the volume buttons) and when I stop I listening music I need to put it back on the normal level (60%).
Is it possible to listen to music with my earphones when the phone is on vibrate mode?
I use sennheiser earphones.
I have already a register editor installed so editing won't be a problem.
Thank you for your time

If you go to http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=448141, it will show you how to set up Gyrator. One of the things which you can make Gyrator do is turn the screen off (if for example you were to turn the HD face down), but make sure you set "Turn Screen Off" and not "Suspend Device." Suspending the device is what happens when you press the power buttom which causes the music to cut off. This might be possible to obtain with Gsen and changeScreen, though i have not tried.

You can set the volume to the lowest bar by draging it down with your finger instead of the physical vol buttons. Another way is to go to settings (in TF3D) and then sound and set it from there. (I hope this answers this question, as I'm not really sure what you're asking....sorry)

Yes and No, what is possible is to listen to music(at any volume you'd like) and have the phone vibrate like you want. Why no?, because technically the phone is not set to vibrate.....but the same thing is obtained; if someone calls, the phone will not ring and only vibrate.
In order to obtain this, make sure you have Ring & Vibrate (or Vibrate only) enabled as your normal Ring profile (once again in settings/configurationsTab(TF3D)>Sounds; obtainable through windows too). Then set your system sound to w/e you want the music to be playing at and the ring sound all the way down. This way the phone will not ring (0 volume) but still vibrate.
If any of this was unclear, I appologize (writing from memory)

Hey, I agree with what you've said above. I have the same issue. Please note that I have no direct solution for you, but the work around is this:
Use a different set of headphones. I have three sets I use.
1) pair of ear buds that came with the legend - these are fine when I turn the volume down low
2) Phillips SHS3201 - these are basic ""over the ear" hook style ear buds. volume is fine if I turn it down between first second "notches".
3) Monster Audio Turbine ear buds - foam sealing passive noise canceling. These are too loud even at the lowest setting. I think they have powerful drivers that simply boost the sound and foam fittings that drive the sound into my ear canal. Though they sound great, I can't really use them because they are too loud on the phone.
Are you using a high quality or "foam sealing" headphone?
That being said, I'm interested if anyone else knows how to adjust this!
Thanks.
Thk you for your reply I've not found a real solution but you're right i think i'm gonna buy earphones with external volume adjustement because even with the original legend ones, it's too loud
There is another way to fix it but i don't like it.. You can change de volume of your mp3's by using mp3 gain (freeware). The volume is better but if you want to connect the legend to a loudspeaker, you realise that the sound has unfortunately a very limited volume...
I am interested in this as well. I have tried the Music Player with EQ platinum (by changing left and right channel to output lower volume) but it kills the CPU. If you view photos while listening to music, you might not hear any music anymore.
Same here. It gets very annoying when the phone rings while I'm listening to things on my earphone - it hurts my ear everytime. (I have ringer set to max volume, which seems to make the ring tone play at max volume through earphone as well. I can barely stand min volume as it is.)
I've already rooted my phone - I guess changing the audiopara files should do the trick. Can anyone tell me how to understand those files?
Sent from my HTC Legend using XDA App
I am using j-jays intra earphones and the Legend really disappoint me about the sound quality (volume setting).
So I tried to set EQ as down as possible... what there is no EQ on Android's music player? f****!
Finally I have found and used Astro Player beta on the market, wich is not very good-looking but has a complet EQ.
And an other problem about Legend sound quality appears: the sound in noisy at low volume!!!
Ok let's hope a flash will correct the problem. For the moment I am using my Sansa clip+ to hear the music in my bed and my legend with RockPlayer to watch movies in my bed
Volume issue Android
I've been having an issue with the volume being too loud when streaming music via pandora or last.fm
To check to make sure we are all having the same problem, follow these steps and report back.
1. Play media (music) w/ headphones
2. Turn off silent mode
3. Go to Settings/Volume
4. Edit the volume of the ringer (it will play a test sound)
5. Accept changes...
Now, did the volume go down on the media so it's nice and quite? If so, how long does it last? I know this works for me for the rest of my current song, but as soon as another one starts it's back up to crazy loud volume (even when the media volume is set to smallest amount).
I have also downloaded a 3rd party volume control app, but the same thing happens. Please give this a shot and let us know what happened!
I am noob to android. Rooted my phone with attn1 FR008 rom. I am liking my Aria, however the earpiece volume is low for my liking espescially in noisy environments. I tried the (HAC) hearing aid trick but then it is TOO loud and you don't have any volume adjustment.
So I know the phone is cabable of a louder speaker volume. I have found the audioparaxx.csv files. But cant mod them because of rights in the root directory. I am still a noob and learning the file system.
Is there any quick updates to the audiopara files for the Aria? Or anyway to get louder volume?
Thanks!
Tom
You might want to check out this thread on the DSP Manager app. As well as being an equalizer, it allows you to separately control the volume for Headset, Phone Speaker & the Bluetooth device.
My 6P is not rooted and wont be anytime soon. Looking for a way to increase the over all music volume. Seems like the last 3 "notches" of volume doesn't increase at all. Almost like it gets to a certain point and even though I'm increasing the volume it does nothing. Is there a way to get the overall music volume to be increased. Could it be the headphones I'm using? Or the music players? I tried Google music for a while but it's so data and memory heavy I switched to Sony music, which I love, has a built in album art finder and equalizer without root. Seems like the volume is the same on both players.
I doubt what you're asking is possible without root as the files that would need to be edited are system files. To my knowledge, you'd need root. Any sound mod is going to require root & a custom recovery to flash. There may be methods I'm not aware of, but 0 that I've seen over the last 6 years.
There's a way to eliminate absolute volume in Bluetooth in the hidden developer options but I doubt that will help unless you are using Bluetooth headphones. There's also a Volume Booster app in the Play Store that I have no personal experience with but it gets some good reviews. Have you gone into settings / sound on your phone and checked what the level is set at for media volume? It's likely not set at the maximum possible level unless you changed it yourself.
So there used to be a cool trick I used to do in EMUI 5.1 using an app called earpieace.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=mobi.omegacentauri.Earpiece
Basically, Huawei probably has a sort volume booster during calls and it went to effect if you used that app. Since you weren't in a call, it would apply to media playback instead (This is just speculation though). But now in EMUI 8 it's gone and we're back to the crappy audio we used to have with the Mate 10 Lite and Honor 7x. You didn't even need to use the app's volume booster function, just turn on audio through earpiece, plug in a headphone, and get insanely better sound. But now, unfortunately, it's gone.
Edit: The moment I turn on audio through earpiece, the sound jumps a little but then goes back to the usual volume. Can anyone help me with this?
Edit 2: It also seems Huawei reduced the volume, bass, and treble from the earpiece. Also, I need to mention that doing this did not harm my phone in any way. The volume booster of the app actually decreased the sound and I used this trick for many days without my phone ever getting any weird audio problems and no distortion whatsoever. It's also good to know that this audio boosting was done by the phone itself and not any app.
Ahh damn I'm going miss this so much
