[Q] Bugs in omnirom

So I really need my camera and I'm on omnirom. Every time I take a picture with flash, the whole picture is black. Also the brightness settings don't stick and multi window force closes everything as soon as the phone boots.clean install and everything. And now spotify will play one song then every other song is silent. Does anyone experience these things? Btdubs, latest nightly, hellscore b44 rt2, pa gapps.

Have you tried just flashing the rom without hellscore?

Yes, I tried using stock and Franco. Same force close issue as well as brightness not sticking

You're missing my point, leave the kernel(s) alone, flash just the rom. Putting stock back on the phone is preferable. If the photos works, then you can safely say that the problem isn't the camera.
Then flash the custom rom (without the custom kernels), test the camera, if it works, flash the kernel and test the camera.
That's the progression I would try.

BeanStalk 7.1 Bugs

For some reason Im not allowed to reply to development threads therefore Im starting this thread.
Im currently using BeanStalk 7.1 (http://forum.xda-developers.com/moto-g4-plus/development/rom-beanstalk-7-1-t3494772) (Build 7.1.0-20161115-athene) with GAPPS arm 7.1 stock on my moto g4 plus(xt 1643), there's some bugs i came across and would like fix them.
1. Cant share images, screenshots, etc on whatsapp, messenger, slack which I took after flashing the ROM.
2. Android OS seems to be consuming more battery.
3. Device is HD capable notification is persistent.
4. A black spot just above the home button comes on goes every few seconds.
5. Photos app not working(not that i care).
6. Play Store does not work on mobile data (works fine on WiFi).
7. Registering more than one fp is difficult, i had to try like 10 times to register a second fp.
Also, the fp button is working like home button.

Possible that SM-T520 will get LineageOS 15.1

I really still enjoy using this table and LineageOS 14.1 breathed new life into it from the stock Andriod ROM of KitKat. If not does anyone suggest anything other than LineageOS to run on my tablet that would perform any better than LineageOS.

It looks like they may not be going forward with any new releases of lineageos for the SM-T520.

LOS14 Issues
I have 3 issues with LOS14 on my SM-T520 wifi which I didn't have with a former CM Rom:
- I like to hold my Tab in different orientations and android rotates the screen likewhise. But the unlock-screen is not rotated and allways shows same orientation no matter how i hold the tab.
- I play some games on my tab with ad videos. In some games those videos are played in full volume for a fraction of a second even though my volume is low or off. This makes an irritating noise whenever one of the video starts.
- In some games android seems to overload the cpu regularly for some milliseconds and the game hangs (graphic and sound) but only when the tab had been running for a longer time. When I then restart the tab everything works fine.
I had a CM on my tab before and I didn`t have any of these issues there. But CM is no longer supported or updated so I switched to LOS14. Appart from these issues LOS14 runs very good on the SM-T520. But like limeman35 said there seem no progress in developement. At least there are nightly builds from time to time with service releases from android.

I am a newbie when it comes to rooting. I've never tried it but I have a Samsung t525 an I check all the time for system updates for this tablet but there never have one. I've even called into Samson an they told me you cant download any updates at all. That is hard for me to ac Sept. There has to be something I can to to utilise my tablet. Will you please explain how to root my tablet? Ty Pawneehappygamer

Update MIUI 12. Terrible screen flickering/blinking when unlocking using fingerprint

has anyone ever noticed that the phone screen flickers awfully when unlocked with a fingerprint? the screen can flash a moment after unlocking and artifacts are created in menu animations. everything takes literally half a second.
the problem only occurs on all Xiaomi.EU MIUI 12 beta versions and on the stable version. I didn't check the global version, but I think it will be the same.
it wouldn't bother me much if it didn't create terrible graphic artifacts sometimes.

Indian version doesnt have this problem

Same thing here on miui 12 betas. I was sacred that i damaged my phone in work.

Yep, Noticed this on Xiaomi.eu 12.0.3.0 Stable. The main thing I noticed when I installed the update.
The previous ones were smooth. The blurring is also not good on the latest, the blur goes away real quick when exiting notif bar making the transition look like you set animation to 0 on devs settings. But the exact opposite on the Control Panel. Closing it, you'll see the delay in the blur. Can see icons still blurred before it goes away. Too delayed that it is noticeable. Setting .5x on animation and transition fixes it but that awful unlocking animation flicker become more noticeable when doing so.
I hope next update will be better.

Same 12.0.3.0 build? Noticed the issue on 12.0.3.0. I believe indian Stable is still on 12.0.1.0. On that build we did't have the issue as well.

It is interesting that the problem only occurs when we use the fingerprint on the screen. using the fingerprint on the screen off, does not create artifacts and flickering. all beta versions had this problem, I thought stable version would eliminate this problem.
he does not always occur. and sometimes it is strong that it looks like a phone breaks down.
I wonder what is causing this error. maybe a fingerprint mechanic?

Did xioami add the DC dimming option for Mi9T in Miui 12? Can anyone tell?

@projjalkhisa You can activate it easily with Activity Launcher -> Settings (the second option) -> Anti-Flicker

On Global stabile MIUI 12 it's fixed. I have EEA model, and every miui 12 custom rom have this bug (xiaomi.eu) (beta relases from china model)

It doesn't work. The setting changes but it still flickers on mine.

this is so random. i have this problem again after few months that i didnt have it. this issue has occured to me 4 times in the last year. but this time it is the worse. phone is almost useless. what is going on....

Capable of running important modern apps that require more recent android than marsmallow
for example sondbar setup headfone setup, fake gps ...the ones evryone use daily now.
not concerned about features or look of rom, just that it work properly.
the best so far aicp, however when powerd down with off button batt out in 3 days. ok if batt removed n put back.
I HAVE BOUGHT ANOTHER FONE MI 11 LITE 5G .. IT HAS NO PERMENANT MISSED MESSAGE ALERT (allways on display/alert menu option no permenant)

Need big led for missed messages, (or ALLWAYS on display with alert ... headfone jack, ... exp sd card storage, ir camera bluetooth and rcan un modern apps...
Ive now bought two fones as replacement, both not suitable, the other redmi note 9T 5g both no PERMENANT missed message alert while locked. (3rd party solutions ..aoe holie aodnotify dont work properly. )
Has anyone got a note 10... or s20fe or redmi note 10 pro 5g o they have permenant missed call alert please

LineageOS 18 is good but not stable (bluetooth, gps lock issues, battery drains when phone off, mobile data issues) with N910F

louis.. you have the point exactly..... there seems to be no rom that makes the fone work relaiably, i dont care about features animation whatever, but fone bluetooth etc has to work reliably. "battery drains when fone off " so so so bad the rom cant be used like this. Ive bought 2 new 5g fones recently, the note 4 is way easier to use cause things like big led alert light. The latest missed message alert using aod on xiomi on many models only gives notification for 10 mins !! and 3rd party apps break on updates. please let me know and provide link if you find a note 4 snapdragon trite rom that makes the fone work reliably, and runs around android 9 so that modern apps like my soundbar setup will work.

louis, just so i understand, what exactly is the problem with getting a reliable stable rom, has something changed since android 9 aand 10 released, or did they never work properly? and is this a general rom problem, or is the 910f snapdragon difficult in some way? .. so if i load a custom rom onto my samsung ace 4 willi have the same problems, As said, for £150 can buy fab new 5g fone, but no permenant missed message alert led some no 3.5 jack , sd storage, infra red and of course removable battery. The most annoying is no PERMENANT missed message alert. Its difficult to find out if a particular fone have this or not from the helplines. (For others, the latest mi 11 lite 5g is max 10 mins aod, "permenant" does not exist on the settings menu. and 3rd party apps break on updates )

Actually, I am no expert so I don't what issues are there with new roms, but indeed they are not usable on a daily basis.
