Hi all am trying to make shamu record at least in 60 fps (120 ideally) ,can someone provide me the .so files needed for this to happen or can someone tell me how to edit them ?
sorry if this is the wrong section if so, move please!

I doubt that shamu's cpu is powerfull enough to handle that load.
Also changing some *.so-files won't help much as it needs changes on device side an the kernel driver.
So if you're not into programming and endless debugging sessions - abandon all hope.

That it can do it, it can. Now i won't eat my youth over shamu and his labyrinth of coding i already locked my eyes on the new Xiaomi Note 10 or the 9 Lite ,when shamu's battery goes to sleep with the fishes... they can go till 1000 fps ! Its just weird coz other phones with the same cpu and/or same camera sensor can also go 120 not even 60 ... but since i don't know my Jesus about android programming i acknowledge my defeat from Google and move on with my life

Hey ,
registered yesterday and now the second Thread already, hope u guys dont mind xD'
i made a vertical Shooter (rly oldschool) last week,
code base is almost finished the next few days i will add levels and stuff.
what i need rly badly is graphics ! im not talented with gimp/photoshop at all XD'
and ideas ! (=
about the game:
- control over the Ship is implemented through Sensors
- click on the screens fires a bullet
- game is running around 30 fps / rly low battery usage
could someone tell me how to take a Screenshot properly ddms fails at 2d :/
//screenshot here..
if u want to check out the code, the whole Project is hosted via Google Code

[CLOSED]Rom development

Hii, guys I am an android developer and started working on SM-G360H and I am sure that a new PSK-OS release will surprise you all as it is first being launched by me for G360H till 1st July,2016. PSK-OS is a great OS which will increase your RAM by 50% and will support all most all formats like - apk, jar, etc. This OS will make your camera 40% more smooth and 0.5 MP more dense, also it is having a great UI named after PSK. This project has been completed almost 80% and it is based on both Linux and Unix. For further information comment or contact [email protected], join me on FB too.

Hi OP,
I have few questions for you:
You said, your OS increases RAM by 50%. What you think dude, we are [email protected]$$es?
You can NEVER increase RAM through software. Never.
You said, it increases camera quality by 40%. Really bro, really? I don't think it's possible. What I know you can degrade camera quality in custom ROMs, not increase. Camera quality is already on peak in stock ROMs.
You said, camera more dense - 0.5MP. Again, dude. We're not dumbos. We know, it's impossible. MP is an hardware related thing. Even if you forcefully try to increase MP through software, you'll only degrade it's quality, because you would be faking the lens resolution.
This total post seems fishy to me. Even if you've made a new OS, it surely will never have any RAM increasing or Camera MP increasing thingy. If you really are developer, stop using lies in your projects here.
Explanation
Ram can be increased as well as camera can also be optimized as in stock rom RAM is limited due to it's Locked frequency which I have increased and camera in stock rom also have limited number of pixels for a smooth picture experience buy we can make it more clear and sharpen by powering it more but these both things will result in increasing your phone's temperature but we have another system which will control it easily.
Thanks

Apart from what @AtomR has mentioned, I would like op to explain what Linux and UNIX based means. Iirc Linux, due to POSIX compliance, is Unix like, but is actually different from UNIX in many ways. I heard no any other Android being based on UNIX. In fact iOS is probably the only mobile OS based on UNIX (though quite distant from original UNIX).
You cannot increase RAM. You probably mean swap file. You cannot increase MP of camera by any software whatsoever then what the hardware supports. Some vendors like Sony reduce the permitted resolution of camera for some reason I don't know. In that case a software could increase MP. But in our phone it's actually 5MP. No more.
So I saw that YouTube video where he writes "apk, exe, deb can be installed". Even WINE hasnt been ported to android so far. Hello? Ding Ding? Are you in a fairy land? Is this some sort of sick joke? Also he says Launching Date Will Be Announced After Getting 1 Million Likes . Looks like he wants some quick bucks from YouTube monetisation.
I am so sorry I don't want to bash anyone here or anything. If you think you could achieve those results then good for you, but the possibility of such project being successful is highly unlikely, given that you don't seem to know much on Operating systems. We all are highly skeptical because your claims are lavish and you haven't shown anything rather giving a date which looks like some weird thing is going on.
P.S. Don't count your chickens before they're hatched.

Camera that CAN record UP to 4k

Is there Anyone who CAN make a moded camera for p9 lite that CAN record UP to 4k ans thanks!
If the stock camera do not record videos in 4k it's impossible. It is a hardware fact lol.
I don't know, maybe if the camera have the hardware necessary to take video/photo up to 4k ?

I had the G2 as well, and that was a really big software modification for 4k to be enabled. We have no clue that the P9 Lite camera can even record 4k videos, the LG G2 was lucky enough to be equipped with a good camera which was weakened by LG on the software level.
Lg g2
The G2 was an epic phone
The sensor is compatible to 4k, the SoC isnt.
Isn't capable to record 4k even in 30fps and a lower bitrate?

Hi,
That might be possible with a little tweaking of the camerahal. The Honor 8 can do it and it has the same SoC, you might want to look at its camera hardware to check compatibility. It might be possible (if it has the same camera sensor) to take its camerahal to gain 60fps support.
Note: However, modifying the camerahal is not an easy task. It requires alot of effort to get everything working on custom roms. I cant tell you if its ever going to work on the stockrom, since theres obviously no source for that. But still, very unlikely.
Edit: I quickly checked the camerahal, it seems huawei is using a hybrid system between CameraHal1 & 2. This makes everything even more complicated. What throws me off is that devices that ship with marshmallow should be using CameraHal2 in order to match googles requirements for being allowed to ship with the google services.

Screen resolution change ?

I see that samsungs and v30 got the option to change screen resolution to save battery. Is that option in the G6? (I currently got an LG G2 and want to upgrade)
No all we got is the option to change the acpect ratios for the apps

That's exactly why Im asking. Its a shame if you cant tune down the resolution and loose performance. Perhaps a custom rom may steal that function from the v30 now that is released.
My LG G2 never get hot. I wonder why new cellphones got this problem.
Yeh my phone geta hot after 15 min and loose fps....almost to unplayable state.... I need underclock cpu or lower resolution.... To keep it little more cool

Just tried the otpion from battery settings...game battery saver..custom. And for the game i play (mobile legends) i lovered resolution to minimum and i lovered the fps as well.. Its much much better.... But will test it more... It says resolution lovered .... So i asume it must be doing something... As i am sure we cant notice 2k and 1080p drop on such a small screen....but cpu should stay cooler... Test it as well and let me know how you get on...please
Note i launch the game from the menu itself...by choosing option play....

I think that only works with 3d applications but not affect daily use in wich the cpu/gpu need to move full screen resolution.

I still dont own the phone so cant test it but see a few videos/reviews about it and it render games at lower resolution. But only that, games, so all other drawing functions from normal aplications are not afected. It works as intended and indeed it help a lot in fast demanding games (like racing, shooters ,etc)
Yes like you said...did today hevay gaming over 1 hour.... No heat like before....warm yes...but no even close to it.... The resolution is noticeably lower..but i went to max fps and min res....
Defo a good feature...better then lower all res....
Cheers
I havent had any heating issues with g6. But resolution change would a thing nice to see with oreo update.

I bet we gonna get this in oreo update
https://goo.gl/UKaif3 This will help for the resolution but you have to be rooted
Oreo should bring resolution change option.
Non-rooted option: search Google for adb shell wm size and adb shell wm density commands. I haven't tried the size command but density gave me little bit nicer look and feel.
Bit of an old thread, but right now I'm running this res for better game performance:
adb shell
wm size 1080x2160
wm density 480
Notice that this causes the viewfinder in the stock camera app to be zoomed in and you won't be able to see the full image being captured. But I use the ported Google Camera which doesn't suffer from the problem.
https://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-g6/how-to/guide-best-battery-life-t3735720
here it is step by step with example for our loved G6... I didn't try it tho, and if you do, do it at your own risk!
can't wait to see if any of you isn't such coward, tries it, and tell us that it makes wonders for battery and heating....

FireHD 10 Suez { Speed of Lineage vs Stock } -- Processing.org sketches

Hi,
I have a couple of these 2017 fire HD tablets all rooted and experimenting with various OS's on them.
I've been working on a processing.org sketch on android for a couple years now and running into some unique FPS issues.
When I run Lineage 2022 May edition, the app runs at roughly ~22FPS
When I run the same app on 5.6.2.0_Fire_HD_10_optimized_pre_rooted_stock_rom-signed.zip I get roughly ~40 FPS.
**Side note, I built a quick sketch to post here with source code and APK but when I run it on both tablets, they are both 60FPS.. which leads me to believe something else is going on weird. The sketch just dumps a bunch of circles on the screen and displays FPS in biggen font.
Is there anything I can do to provide someone details for research or help me in troubleshooting?
I'm tempted to try a old lineage build like
[discontinued][ROM][unlocked][suez] Lineage-12.1 [05 MAY 2020]Generally just work my way up to later and later builds and figure out where it broke and stay there.
Technically I don't NEED to run lineage, but I would like really any version of any OS for the fire HD that runs quickly. It doesn't need to be the latest.
I just need something with some customizability.. run app on USB power, auto power off tablet when USB power is removed... I haven't got that far yet.. but my requirements are minor.
Additionally.
Could someone provide some links to all the various os packages I can try installing?.. Not sure if it would be helpful, but a pinned post with just url's to all?
So far I have seen latest MAY 2022 release of Lineage, then these hacked older versions of the fire OS software. Is there any others?? Please link below I'd like to try them out.
Thank you,
Take care.
any news here ?
I haven't seen anything. I was just scooping up all OS releases and running a test sketch on each one.. I can publish a simple APK file if people want to try this out. But really there are better benchmarking apps out there, mine was just simple like draw a bunch of circles on a screen and print the fps.
Thanks... I'm going to install Lineage, so if you want to me compare....

Hi Targa,
I made a post on Reddit a while ago with the same subject and realized I didn't update the thread here.
This is what I tried.
5.6.2.0_Fire_HD_10_optimized_pre_rooted_stock_rom-signed.zip I get roughly ~40 FPS.
lineage-12.1-20200505-UNOFFICIAL-suez.zip ~locked at 44FPS. oldy thou.
lineage-14.1-20190926-UNOFFICIAL-suez.zip ~locked at ~48 FPS, less oldy.
*These aren't links.
As far as the OS is concerned, with what I am using the tablet for, I really do not care which one to use.
I have some basic requirements in which I'm guessing that any of them will work.
*I need a method to power on the device when USB power is applied.
* This app would auto start that I specify.
*When usb power is removed, the tablet would turn off.
I'm putting this in a car and writing some custom processing.org sketch and since the tablet is in a 3d printed caddy like thing, I don't have easy access to the power button and need things to be automated, I also don't want to have to touch the screen to launch something. Perhaps wishful thinking.
Thanks.
crap, I bricked by tab while trying to bring it to Lineage... Guess I need to open it now.
Thanks.
Is it the waiting for bootrom message? if it is plug in the usb leave it at the waiting for bootrom message on the terminal and hold the power button on the tab, it should take 5-15 seconds and it will then just say "remove short" which in the scheme of things there was no short. just hit enter and continue. I've done 3 of these tablets.
Yes, I managed, thanks for the hint (even if I already managed before, it was described in one of the threads).

No worries, I think a lot of times its hard to write guides. I tend to be overly verbose when explaining things to help with a lot of the back and forth. Habit I guess..

Did you find the "perfect" Software for your hardware?
@targa which Lineage OS version did you find to be more stable? I am going to change from stock because of compatibility issues... My primary requirement is reading and watching, after getting used to higher refresh rate displays I feel its too odd to use something with lower framerates, so I want to know more about it. also I bricked my suez(FireHD 10)... and if someone can help me a lil bit please feel free to send a message.

Hi there,
Honestly, I would try them all. My only test scenario was a single app I am making for a personal project.
My requirements were pretty low. Wireless needs to work, it needs to not drain power and decent frame rate in my app. Sound isnt required.
My results were pretty mixed and when it boiled down to it. It almost didn't make much of a difference. Because I don't need a lot of features, I would probably stick with the oldest release, and the sound patch to allow head phones to work.
Which is why I would say try them all. The latest does not always mean the best in my opinion. Feel free to prove me wrong here, I am up for discussion.
Thank you,
Take care.
Hi,
my tablet is now on Lineage and I'm happy with it. But my use cases aren't really extensive, I basically use it so that my kids can watch videos and earplays and some games. But for sure it's a lot better and newer than FireOS. I believe headphones did work so far.
