Are any of the new Android 10 builds stable enough to be used as daily drivers?
I am a student so build stability is something I crave along with good battery life.
Yes, Havoc 3.0

hi ,
I like Omega Rom , fast , stable...good battery life ( depending in your settings)
You must be Kidding
So far by my BEST knowledge (Maybe I know a little or wrong),
there's NOTHING called as MOST STABLE ROM. It is your choice of flavors: PERFORMANCE VS FEATURES VS BATTERY LIFE etc.
WANAM, OMEGA, ECHOE, AOSB and a lot of stable ROMs are out there that you can use as a daily driver. Developers are working hard to give you a customized taste of your choice to the Android.

Both roms are in alpha / beta stages. Stability is not something to be expected from those roms .
Wait for the development to proceed and eventually a stable build will be released.
Roms out of the box will always give you good performance. If you want battery savings look into tweaking kernels with KA. Or flash custom kernel like Arsenic or Starkiller.
It's a subjective choice, Sarthak has fixed Mobile Data, GPS & SD Card issue completely.
Ashwin is busy with his exams hence he cannot devout much time to his builds.
AOSP still lacks Tri-State & GPS and will probably never get Gestures.
Its upto you as always. Don't really see a point in these kind of threads.
why not both?
I need a regular daily driver ROM that has long lasting battery, smooth in UI, stock like? Camera should be fully working.
Don't play video games on this. So gaming performance dosen't matter.
Any suggestions?
Thanks in advance.
Evolution X 4.0 - i recomended.
If you're talking about GCam, you'll have to play among different builds, but this isn't the perfect time to do that, since their developers seem to be in vacations. I suppose they'll go back in February or later.
You can check ROMs like EvolutionX 4.0 (I'm using this one, also includes RadioFM), as well as HavocOS 3.0, they're the most recent ones at this time and include most of the current fixes around.
You can also check Pixel Experience or LineageOS 17.1, and there you have DerpFest, MSX, RevengeOS 3.1 and others. All of their developers are pretty active and in overall, at least since November, things are getting polished and getting perfect, faster than before...
I don't know... Perhaps at the beginning it was quite complicated since Mi A1 hasn't an official Android 10 firmware or kernel, and developers had to find a way to build from near nothing.
Hello!
At this moment,no custom ROM is bug-free or to have the best battery life.Lineage OS 17 should be a very good Android 10 custom ROM,but it isn't officially released.Until then, you can wait or experiment with other ROMs.
I've been browsing most of the current builds in the forum but it's been harsh to make a decision on which to take nowadays. Android Q builds seems to be unstable with some things not functioning, and Android P like Pixel Experience have been deprecated with no additional security patches in the past 4 or 5 months.
So far, the only build that seems to keep updated is LOS 16 with Android PIE and I understand that is the best option to get best from both worlds: latest security patches + fully functional ROM without glitches or hardware issues.
Which is your experience? Anything else that I shall consider?

I did not find time to update, so now, after they released 7.1 I think I'm going to stick to AOSP Extended with Android 10. Looks really awesome
Well, the title is pretty self-explanatory. Which ROM do you advise based on its smoothness and battery life? I'd like to keep the rom for a long time, so I'd like ROMs that continue to be supported in time. Thanks!
In my experience (tested global 11.0.0.1, eu stable 10.0.6.0, eu beta 9 12 12) and the last one was the smoothest, best working in performance although battery life is not that great as I wish).
The worst was stable eu 10.0.6.0 dont know why...
Pixel Experience (Official) with hasty kernel is good enough for me.
I would like to know as well

I prefer Pixel Experience Plus. Great performance and battery life

In my experience, the difference in smoothness and battery life between different roms of a similar base is negligible, however, stock roms tend to be slightly better.
