Hello!
First, sorry if similar thread has been posted, i searched a lot and found nothing similar.
It's been a while since i'm stuck with a "little" problem, here are the symptoms:
- the phone shutdown itself for no reason (no heat, no new application, no water splash, no drop to the floor...)
- then when i try to reboot it, MI logo appears for 5-10seconds, then shutdown (no bootloop, the phone stays OFF)
- after a random number of tries (almost 100 times, literally, sometimes), it boots like a flower and works perfectly for a random duration (weeks, days, hours, or 1 minute).
I tried everything i could find, read, or get advised to do. I also posted on Miui.en, if you find motivation to read it, look for "Redmi 4 Prime shutted down itself and keeps shutting down after MI logo" (i can't post link).
Troubles started a couple of days after the OTA update from official MIUI global ROM 8.1.2 to 8.2 (the OTA update got deleted some days after). I thought that it was only a ROM bug, so i flashed to anterior version, but bug still happened some days after.
That's the only thing i did that i can remember. The phone wasn't even rooted at this moment.
About my phone:
- when it manages to boot, it works perfectly, no heat problem, no connectivity issues, can access to stockages...
- when it can't boot, i still have access to fastboot, recovery mode/TWRP, and when it is turned off, it displays charging state when pluged, and the phone never shutdown itself during one of those states.
- after a full wipe in TWRP (factory reset, system + cache + data and all), it can be stuck in bootloop at MI logo for hours without shutting down itself (if i push power button for 10sec, it keeps rebooting on MI logo, so an "usual" bootloop)
What i tried:
- flash all official roms with MIflash (china rom, global rom, stable and developer versions, latest and old versions), with flash_all.bat (clean all data),
- flash official/customs rom with TWRP,
- flash official roms with MI PC Suite.
I managed to do a CPU bug report last time it turned ON (on official MIUI 8.1.2 global rom) that i also posted on my other thread at the 3rd page, and a log after the last flash i did with MIflash (official MIUI 8.2.4 global rom).
Today, i only can boot my phone with a lot of luck (i managed to revive it once in 3 days after a lucky flash i guess, then it shutted down after 5 min), so it is more dead than a little bugged...
I rode things about kernel manipulations, deep flash, or even just try to open it and disconnect the battery for 15min (i will try this last option when i get the good screwdriver), but i prefer asking in hope that someone ever encountered this problem...
Thank you for reading me and thanks by advance if somebody got some advises!

to me it sounds like hardware problem . how about warranty?

I bought it on Gearbest, and of course, warranty is void if you touch the ROM... Same for Xiaomi once you unlock the bootloader i think (i did it because there weren't official global roms when i bought it) :crying:
Do you think about something else?
Or did it already happen to someone else?

the only thing i can think is hardware since you did all the software tricks
Hello, my english is unfortunately not very good, so I translated with Google Translate.
I wanted to root my phone (Huawei Nova Can-L11) and used this guide.
https://forum.xda-developers.com/nova-plus/development/recovery-unofficial-twrp-huawei-nova-t3523473 .However, I have installed a wrong image or something go wrong .
Now the mobile always starts again, about 3 seconds. I briefly see the Huawei logo, and then the orange font that is not trusted.
The problem I had yesterday, but it somehow managed to close the OEM again, and the mobile ran normally.
It was with the power button and soft key, but this is probably no more.
Now I wanted to install the correct image, unlock oem and the error is back. But I can not come back. Adb and Fastboot find no device, and the PC is not synonymous displayed.
Maybe I'm too nervous for the key combination because it worked yesterday. But I'm just scared.
If my PC would display the mobile, I could possibly with fastboot go back to lock oem. But it does not indicate anything ..
Ask for help, I hope I have not completely destroyed it.
hi! i have bricked Nova Plus, after factory reset in TWRP. i use all method flash fiirmware - tel is bricked. i bay credit in DC Phoenix (15 evro) and download fullflash firmware. after flashing and factory reset, phone is boot sussec. after full boot i flash firmware from hwmt. after flashing run factory reset- boot- tel is fully working!

I posted in the discussion forum as well but here is the post. Ok so to start i got my bootloader code, did the Oem line in adb all went well, used the greatslon us M3 Twrp, said it went through ok, tried to boot using the volume up an down as well as power just boots to blackscreen then does nothing. if i let it just boot into factory android it runs for a min and then forces a reboot, oh and my model is the CPN-W09 which i think is the issue upon reading, the Greatslon twrp is for a dif version of M3 then mine, so i tried the erecovery it says im not supported, i tried restore through hisuite says not supported, i try and do a factory reset but unit powers off before it can complete. Any ideas what i can do?

ok so a followup i can get into fastboot&rescue mode, but seems the usb debugging or dev options are now turned off so trying to flash anything with fastboot doesn't seem to work" FAILED (remote: Necessary to unlock FRP! Navigate to Settings > Developer op)" so now im really stuck as i have no way to get into the phone settings to enable it, oh and it now wont boot past the huawei logo it comes up animates a little then unit restarts. I am hoping i dont need to send it to repair, cause i know you guys are smarter then they are so hoping i can pick your brains for an easy fix.
Hello there. When I "relock" my bootloader and launch my Huawei P10+ It goes straight into eRecovery mode. I can also go into normal stock recovery and fastboot, but not the normal boot.
when i unlock it, it does work and it does normally launch.
Any ideas how I can fix this so i can do theme changes and system updates?
bump

Hello all.
I have a really annoying problem with my Mi 9t - 100% Official rom.
It happened after an update that got stopped for some reason, 'update failure' the phone said.
After that i have been able to use may phone as usual, but the phone was always asking me to do the update.
So i click again on update and that happen... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LNQhNUj_d8k
So my phone is trying to do the update and fail and restart again and again after less than 1%.
I can't turn it off, all i can do is launch the Fastboot mode.
The other mode with vol+ and power manipulation is not working, i try with discharged phone to go in there to reset everything, but that's not working.
My phone is not unlocked so in fastboot i can't even try to reinstall a new rom.
I already more or less given up the idea to recover my phone data but if i could unlock the phone it could be great..
Does anyone have any idea what I could do? or do I really have an official bricked phone?
Thank you

If under guarantee, you should go to official service center
Otherwise, have you tried Factory reset from Settings (maybe, it will wipe what is blocking OTA)
Finally, if I understand correctly, you could still unlock your Bootloader and then try to flash update (zip/recovery firmware) by TWRP or even (tgz/fastboot firmware) by Mi Flash. The second option works for some bricks, returning to stock from custom ROMs, etc - hence, should IMO also work for you
Thanks for response.
I can't do a factory reset, it won't start and the menu with reset option that you can get by using volume and power is not reachable.
i can't unlock it neither because you need a working phone to do that...
I live in begium and there is no official xiaomi service center...
i'm feeling so screwed by Xiaomi >_<
You said it works with fastboot, so just try miflash or push official rom with fastboot
Yes, i can acces to fastboot, but i already try miflash and official rom but that's not working, my phone is lock by xiaomi because i didn't think i will need to do that one day !
( https://en.miui.com/unlock/) to make the process, of unlock, you need a working phone with a xiaomi ID, an app installed on it...
double post
You said it works with fastboot, so just try miflash or push official rom with fastboot
So, i manage to get the phone boot. i share the solution here for someone who could have the same issue.
Using fastboot command line : " fastboot continue "
and so MIUI has boot !
