Has developers abandoned this phone? There is no fully working app and many versions passed.
There are some versions of GCam, but these are still in development because of the Exynos CPU. There is also an Telegram Group.

Can you please give me the Telegram group?
I need working Gcam for exynos
so where is the file, so that i can test
Developers are under no obligation to release GCam mods for devices.
There are so many phones out there that do not have Gcam mods available for a number of reasons.
If and when someone has a working Gcam build that they are willing to share, you'll see it in the Note 9 sub-forums.
This thread serves no purpose, so I will be closing it.

Hi,
I wanted to open a thread where we can discuss CM12.1 for our device and maybe developers can also share their ideas here.
We all know Samsung sucks by providing users the Source Code and Documentation for their Exynos chipsets and since this is a new chip it'll be more difficult for developers to port CM.
I've heard rumors that there isn't going to be any CM development for the Galaxy S6, is it true?

Basically the only thing hindering development is the lack of sources from Samsung. They're not willing to release sources for the Exynos chipset which will aid in the development of CM. The situation can be described like sailing the world without a map.
Mod Edit
As has been suggested , there is already a thread on this:

Guys,
The release of kernel sources and compilation of kernel by
Rishabh Rao
Brawn_sg
Ashray
Has marked the first milestone of Le 2 Android development, so let's take a step forward to progress by joining this mixed group of testers and developers where we will have fun and immediate queries answered, file sharing etc. by fellow group members and also by the telegram bots.
Those who haven't come across this idealogy, let me tell you as a tester and enthusiast, I am already a member of Mi3 Development group, and it is the most friendly n fun group.
Now, I just own a Le2, I hope you guys, join the group for everyone's convenience.
To rule out confusions, this group is strictly for Snapdragon variants only.
With good faith join:
Le 2[Snapdragon] Development & discussion
Note: Please excuse me for leaving devs name who should get the credits, please PM.
Can we have a fb group as well?
I had a Mi3 myself and the fb group was really helpful for all. More people are on fb than telegram so it will be easy to connect to. Tell me your thoughts about this

My thoughts about this is that Dev and testing is a shady life
....Thug life, our SNS shouldn't mess with it, we need separate time and separate kind of attention(peace of mind, no second thoughts about other random things like the recent DP that your crush posted, or that should you reply to your old granny's comment on your DP)
Moreover we need something handy(application) Telegram happens to serve the purpose:
Its a Messaging app
It's advance, e.g Bots, edit, texts n stuff(more than you can ask for, far more than Fb can provide)
Fun part is stickers and integration with giphy
WhatsApp n FB are limitations,
And lastly, if you were involved in cancro's development, you'd have known the telegram group is more active than XDA threads, 108 people, we all chat n develop n test, n talk about bull**** too.
Telegram group is always better IMHO, so lets go that way
Welcome to the Cedric Tester Hub!
Attention
Testers needed for testing new ROMs for the Moto G5.
Join the Tester hub using this link:
https://t.me/joinchat/E4ikz0SA7yQHq7kNbQ4GMA
The purpose of this testing group is to provide most stable ROMs out of the box. Due to 8 different variants there occurs many bugs that may be found in one variant and not in another.
So, I hereby invite you to test ROMs for our device and help us make them super stable before release!
Cheers!
Apart from your veiled invite to a Telegram Group, with a dead link, do you think XDA isn't the right place for collaboration?

The link is working perfectly. Its not dead. And I've posted this just so that the willing ones join. Collaborating on XDA becomes tough as people would get links to unstable builds that are not yet open to the public.
Hence the telegram group.

I can assure you that the link doesn't work (in this part of the world).
I'll close the thread as the point of it has been made.
Hi..
Just a request if possible pls get the mido forum divided in to Oreo/Naught Roms and seperate the PIE rom developmental thread.
There are too many Roms which are not in development in a single developmental forum. All of the Naught ROMs have stopped development. Oreo too is not being developed for past 2 months, these two are clogging up the forum. Its wasting peoples time.
Thanks you.
+ mido thread should be before nikel....nikel thread is not active

No idea what you are talking about. As for Oreo ROMs, LineageOS, Pixel Experience and AospExtended are still being developed. Probably a few others as well.
They are not clogging up the forum, they are simply still being developed, discussed and used by many people.
Lol.
That's Xda, mate.
Look over 4pda..compared to them are we perfectly organized here. ^^
Hi Guys,
Unfortunately, the stock camera app is not the best cam app and takes only average photos. so, I investigated which cam app is better, in my opinion, and makes better photos.
In my experience, the LMC Gcam app, with a fitted XML, makes good pics. I don´t know if I can share telegram links here. you can find more infos and Cam apps in the "Nothing Phone Photography" group on telegram.
{Mod edit: Link removed}
What I am still missing, is how can I start an alternative cam app by double-pressing the power button. If someone has a solution for that, please let me know.
What are your experiences and findings about the camera?
Regards
dreas

Hello and good morning, @dreas74
You already asked yourself if you're allowed to share telegram links here. I've removed that link from your post.
Regarding social media links please observe that as an exemption from the last bullet of rule no. 5 of the XDA Forum Rules, we grant only developers the privilege to share references to their social media in their own development threads and if thorough support is provided in the thread. These conditions obviously don't apply to your posts, threads or you. Additional information is also available here:
Telegram Chat Channels - Way Forward
WhatsApp/Telegram Groups and Channels - Going Forward Hello XDA family! Just notifying all members that posting certain links to Telegram and other sites like WhatsApp is now allowed on XDA. What does that mean? We will allow links to messages...
forum.xda-developers.com
Please refrain for sharing of social media references unless within your own development threads!
Thanks for your future cooperation.
