[Discussion] CM12.1 For SM-920F/I - Galaxy S6 General

Hi,
I wanted to open a thread where we can discuss CM12.1 for our device and maybe developers can also share their ideas here.
We all know Samsung sucks by providing users the Source Code and Documentation for their Exynos chipsets and since this is a new chip it'll be more difficult for developers to port CM.
I've heard rumors that there isn't going to be any CM development for the Galaxy S6, is it true?

Basically the only thing hindering development is the lack of sources from Samsung. They're not willing to release sources for the Exynos chipset which will aid in the development of CM. The situation can be described like sailing the world without a map.

Mod Edit
As has been suggested , there is already a thread on this:

Moved this thread from the Samsung Tab forum where it did not belong.
What is the use of these groups?
This is a dupe of http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=774092&page=1
And I'll reiterate my thoughts from the other thread:
1)This thread is misleading. It ISN'T an official group. It's possibly even less official than this forum, and there is no reason to believe Samsung is in the group.
2) I STRONGLY feel it actually is a step backwards, because you must be part of the the group to even read threads. To me this seems to suggest it has a greater interest in boosting numbers than encouraging cooperation, and sharing of information.
3) The assumption being made that you can easily blend all the development streams of the Galaxy S variants together is a wrong assumption. Whilst the phones are similar, until developers get together to merge all the drivers into a single rom (to create a universal rom), each phone does need it's own development board.
In that case consider it Closed
Been away a while, but indeed this can be seen as a violation, the thread adds nothing to the information on XDA and is spammy in it's nature.

GS III CM9 discussion

Not sure whether I'm about to step into something here, but haven't really seen any word/discussion on CM9 for any of the US Variants.
As far as I can tell from this: http://www.androidauthority.com/cyanogenmod-9-arrives-galaxy-s3-models-except-verizon-one-100841/
... there are Nightlies for three of the major carriers, including the one I'm on (Sprint). Anyone running these and is there some active thread I'm missing where people are discussing ROM progress/bugs/etc?

Ah, actually I see now that there's a new subforum in development called "Original Development" and the Sprint discussion is here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=28596789#post28596789
Thanks!

Direct MIUI support?

Anyone heard if S4 will get official MIUI support?

Haven't heard anything about that. Although a few people have asked. You might want to go over to my old One S forum and ask. I think there were a couple devs there supporting MIUI. And One S is getting older and no Sense 5 from HTC coming, I believe. Maybe even another phone forum also. Always liked it and ran it for awhile when it first hit XDA. Helped one the main MIUI devs get his vBulletin set up through contributions. Kinda drifted away from it over the years.
Not "Official" but check with these guys if you haven't read this thread--

If by "official" you mean the Xiaomi company releasing it, no. But a port, most likely. It isn't possible for anything other than a port due to Xiaomi being closed source.

[BOUNTY]Working AOSP source code for Galaxy S6/ Note5(N920/G920/G925/G928)

We all know that if someone makes a source code for our device (F/I/S/K/T/L/W8/FD) It will be easier to port it to non-international variants.
And I think that porting from one device to another will be easier too.
Ex:-Note5 to S6 to S6e to S6e+
You have to pay after we get a working source code. Now, you just have to post how much you can pay to the respective developer.
I have seen many pledge threads(almost every thread i have seen about bounty) making a big breakthrough in porting in XDA.
MODERATOR NOTE: Bounties are not encouraged on XDA, however some have resulted in needed breakthroughs.
A legitimate bounty should be started by someone other than the recipient, preferably an established member of the community. The recipient should be aware of and endorse the bounty and agree to its purpose. A set goal should be announced and totals kept current. No money should be collected up front but pledged to be sent to the recipient's donation link once goal is reached. Please also note bounties should be for significant critical development projects, not to get your favorite developers a new toy....that is what their DONATE link is for.
Please stay within these guidelines.
Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.

By making this bounty I mean no disrespect for free-time developers but I think this will speed up the porting of AOSP based roms for our Galaxy S6 devices.
Some of the many examples available, if you still doubt this you can google for yourself.

You want Nougat Rom Make it yourself. Stop forcing Developers, you are not paying them anything.
Don't make unnecessary Thread and Waste space on the Forms.
I request any Senior member to Close this Thread and Clean the Galaxy s4 I9500 Forms.
Thankyou.

Making a nougat rom is very difficult for Exynos devices.and galaxy s4 have worst development support.only Alberto96 and kingdevil are the only AOSP or CM devs we have.keep patience.

While I do agree that if the OP cannot be patient he should learn to make the ROM himself, telling the OP to "don't make unnecessary thread" [sic] is rude. Believe me, I'm sure many of the posters on these forums are well aware that there are too many of these "begging" posts around. However, as much as we may not like them, they don't violate the rules of the site.
Senior members have no power to close threads or clean forums. That is a moderator's job, and no moderator is going to close this thread as the OP has done nothing wrong. Further, no moderator is going to clean the forums either. The moderators, just like developers, do this on their spare time without compensation. Unless they don't have a job for whatever reason they're going to concentrate on items that can be problematic for the site as a whole. In short, cleaning a forum of "waste space" is an extremely low priority to the moderators, and with 4,000,000+ members, impossible to do.
