I have Mi 9T Global version Rom ; i unlocked the bootloader and flash Rom EEA european
all work fine now i need help relockin bootloader
If you relock your bootloader, it will format all your data.
You only have to type this fastboot command:
Code:
fastboot oem lock
And if the phone doesn't reboot itself:
Code:
fastboot reboot

Use
Code:
fastboot flashing unlock
to unlock the bootloader.
You may also need to unlock the critical partitions by typing:
Code:
fastboot flashing unlock_critical
You can flash factory images using the batchfile in the firmware archive or using MiFlash. You can also flash in Snapdragon EDL-(Emergency Download) Mode (bootloader unlocked is necessary) by typing:
Code:
fastboot oem edl

In theory - yes http://en.miui.com/thread-3439864-1-1.html But you can break your phone very easily doing it.

Did you install all Xiaomi drivers using MiFlash and disabled driver signature?
Did you also unlock the critical partitions?
Try one of the batch files from the stock rom via command prompt. E.g. flash_all.bat, which worked for me as MiFlash did not want to do the job, too. Unlock critical is needed though.
The only way to flash was in EDL/Test Point mode. I opened the phone but you can use a Xiaomi deep flash cable (EDL cable).

You can also boot into EDL mode from fastboot (needs bootloader unlocked) by typing the following command:
Code:
fasboot oem edl

Yes, my flash succeeded sucessfully after the second try. I got an error (system_b flashing failed), I closed Chrome to free up more RAM and the flash finished.
To unlock the bootloader, do I need to create a xiaomi account and request a token to unlock it or can I use the usual

Hello first of all sorry for my bad english,
I update to Android Pie (From Netherlands VPN) and works fine but when i tried to install stock rom 8.1 with Mi Flash Tool my phone freezes, when i tried to flash the Nougat official firmware from Mi Flash tool my SIM CARD IS LOCKED, the only way to get my phone working is Android Pie BETA via Fastboot. What i need to do to bring my phone to stable stock rom 8.1 ?
I saw a tutorial with someone said to flash the nougat with EDL but i dont know what EDL is...
Mate, I'm going to say this just once. Please search for your question BEFORE posting a duplicate.

Sorry for that mate, but i am a bit confused and i dont know what can i do to rollback official to stock OREO, because i am on Android Pie BETA
Have you turned on the OEM unlock option? If not, just search for "fastboot oem unlock" command

Maybe the pie rom has ARB and cannot rollback easily.

What have you done? eager to update to pie and you experience bug and want to roll back? that's just a douchebag move imo.

Just flash MIUI with a Fastboot ROM via Fastboot Method, It will do a clean install as if you device is new. Remember to pick the same version (Globlal, EEA, CN, etc)

Yes, the locked bootloader will detect the original region of the phone, so it won't boot if a different region of ROM is detected.
Based on my own experience, I think you always need to unlock the bootloader before flashing with Mi Flash, even with the same region of ROM.
I don't know if you will be able to install a different region of ROM by just using Mi Flash, but even if it flashes successfully, you need to keep the bootloader unlocked, or it will only boot to recovery and show the "This MIUI version can't be installed on this device" error.
Edit: I have installed Taiwan ROM on my M3 that came with global ROM, using Mi Flash Tool, the phone still works after locking bootloader.
I don't want to unlock the bootloader again and i don't like this update because it doesn't have google discover.. what can i do?
You can just stay on current version.
Or just install via fastboot and fastboot ROM

Without unlocking the bootloader? How?
Ok, so you stated that bootloader is locked, I thought you are considering locking it again.
In that case you have no option, but unlocking bootloader to flash different miui ROM
