Ear speaker works perfectly good in calls, Great quality but listening to WhatsApp, Telegram voice notes are a nightmare! The first second is clear but the rest of the voice note is distant and distorted. Is anyone facing the same issue?

I did some testing with phone call audio after I read somewhere that the back noise canceling mic might be causing the problem.
I called myself from a land line, muted the mic on that phone, and answered with my N6P. I listened on the land line and talked on the N6P. My voice sounded real muffled. I then covered the back mic up with my finger and the voice quality went up 10X. I did this multiple times.
To make sure the back mic was not damaged I took a video of myself talking to test the mic quality. Upon playback, the sound was great. This leads me to believe that my mic hardware is not at fault here.
Do others have this issue? It seems like a software issue relating to phone calls only. Thanks for any info/experience!
I have issues when doing speakerphone and video calls with Hangout. I have to talk into the top speaker grill for the other side to hear me. If I move the phone away just 1 feet, my voice gets canceled out and the other side can't hear me.

I wonder if you cover they back mic if that will improve your speaker phone experience. This kind of confirms to me that it is software. I wish we could turn the noise canceling software off just for calls. I mean, I want it but not if it will cause problems for phone calls.
I guess for now I will just cover the back mic with my finger during calls. Is there a website where we can report bugs for the N6P specifically?
No news on this? Renders speaker calls on Hangouts, Viber etc useless.

I picked up my 6P for few days. I couldnt figure out how can i listen to the voice clip/voice message properly from either Whatsapp or Line, does anyone here got the same experience as me ?
When you play a voice message from Whatsapp/Line chat, initially the volume is very low and you can barely hear it. And then when the proximity sensor under the top speaker is being covered, the upper speaker will sudden play the message in max volume i think, making everyone around you able to hear that message.
End up I can only hear those voice message using a headphone.

I use Telegram and voice messages work fine here on loudspeaker. If I cover the proximity sensor with my thumb or ideally, as though I was speaking on the phone by putting it to my ear, then the audio stops from the loudspeaker and plays through the earpiece only, so you can listen to it quietly without disturbing anyone. Is your experience the same as mine?
This is how u=it's supposed to be and I find it quite clever actually.

not exactly the same as yours, when i play the voice message and have the proximity sensor covered, the audio did came from the earpiece only, but at the extreme loud volume which i couldnt turn it down.

The sound level for Whatsapp voice notes is too quiet, it's almost inaudible if I don't speak directly touching the mic with my lips.
If I use the sound recorder or in telephone calls everything is alright.
I'm on Marshmallow, ALE-L21C432B600. Xposed installed.
Any suggestions?

When I make video calls via Facebook messenger or viber, the other side will hear at very low sound level, totally incomprehensible. I can hear them fine. During voice calls everything is fine, also the sound from videos and music is loud and clear.

Hello everyone , I have a nokia 6 ta 1021. I'm having a sound issue. Whenever i turn on loudspeaker during phone call, whtatsapp call , any call or video call the other person cannot hear my voice. The mic works perfectly fine when I'm listening through earpiece during call. Also my phone cannot record sound in instagram or snapchat stories but in simple video it perfectly records the audio. Any one having the same issue or anyone who knows the solution to this ?
