Hi,
Today I try to install MIUI 11 by OTA.
But at the installation, i've the error update.zip failed and canceled the process.
My phone is an MI9T, unlocked and root.
I thought to install it by TWRP, but i can't find the rom file.
Did you have somes advices to solve this problem ?
Thanks in advance.
Try to uninstall root, I had the same issue and without root it worked without an issue...

all day long I encountered several problems, so the phone did not want to start on the rom anymore.
so after a few galley factory reset then reinstall MIUI10 with save and next finally upgrade to MIUI 11 I hope
thanks for your advices again

Hello
I just installed Lollipop 5.1 and my problem is that when installing SuperSU and asks me to update the binary, I click on Normal and I get this error:
Error in installation!
Reboot and try again, please.
What do I do?
Then why don't you use recovery installation?
And second, almost every 5.1 is already pre-rooted ...
Have you changed SU too a system app? Then it's often normal that you must install over Recovery or Odin.

what rom you on ?
Have you asked over on the SuperSU thread? You're likely to get your answers there, once you provide Chainfire with a logcat.
Whether it is solved , I installed SuperSU with recovery , and it works properly.
Thanks!! :good:

You're right, you can only install Magisk on a stock ROM. It works fine for me on B574 (updated through OTA).
I needed to unroot to play PokemonGO, but athe same time, I needed to root to enable gyroscope, to play PokemonGo...
Has anyone tried to Flash an OTA update using Flashfire?
Like...to flash OTA and have root?
I'm not sure if it's possible. Can someone try for me please?
Anyone would try to play with fire
I think that it is impossible because in the changelog of updates they wrote that you mustn't been rooted if you want to update the ROM

If i am right, FlashFire Temporaly unroots the rom and after the OTA update, FlashFire roots it again.
Right?

OK
So more need of the file c432eominfo, just twrp the firmware update.zip to install sorry I did not know
Hi, Can someone please help, I must have done something wrong. Flashed official 4.1.6 update through twrp successfully, but lost root, tried to flash super su again (ver 2.86), but got stuck in boot, logo froze.
Flashed 4.1.6 again, phone works but no root still.
Is that a wrong super su version or did I do something else wrong?
Help will be really appreciated.
Regards
After flashing a full update you'll always have to reflash your root solution. I guess you mean SuperSU v2.82...
Use the official 2.82, found here (there's a link to the flashable zip). There's also a link to a version to try if you're experiencing bootloops.
You could also try the release candidate, found here.
Magisk all the way
1. Wipe data
2. Flash ROM
3. Flash root package, either SuperSU or Magisk
4. Reboot
I see no reason why wouldn't this work for you

Hi,
Many thanks.
Before proceeding, should the super su app also be removed from phone?

I think, I was not able to explain, Rom is already there, but I just flashed 4.1.6 update, and root was gone.
Just wanna avoid all those data backup, restore, register all new banking apps etc, it time consuming and painful.
I am pretty sure, root can be restored, when I have an unlocked bootloader, twrp recovery working properly.
SuperSU is still there in apps but can't open as says, root not available. However, can uninstall this if that is required.
Cheers

You can try to uninstall it through supersu app but make sure to keep you boot img. Then your phone will be fully unrooted, go into twrp and reflash supersu/magisk

Hi,
So I'm just step before unlocking Bootloader and flashing Magisk but the question is - will I be able to install OTA updates directly from android without triggering bootloop?

I'm not 100% sure but I think once you obtain root OTAs won't get applied because you would have flashed custom recovery while getting root access.

Alright so the full zip will be auto downloaded if there's something modified. Can it detect magisk and replace the boot image as well since it's not a system modification?
Is anyone having issues installing the OTA?
My device saw the update but when I hit install I get "Couldn't update installation problem" I have Magisk installed on the Tmobile oneplus 6T and I've tried to update after removing Magisk but it did not work, please advise.

Uninstall magisk and then try installing the OTA, if no go, flash the unmodified fastboot files and then try again.

As long as you don't hide system updates in Magisk hide system will prompt and download full zip instead of incremental and upon flash the full zip it will replace the boot to stock boot.

Uninstall Magisk and download and install full zip, you may require t-mobile certitied full zip if the global does not work so make sure you download from the system instead of the links floating around which will be the global rom.
