Omnirom for Oneplus 6t - Omni Q&A

Hello to all,
.I have a rooted OP6t with Omnirom. Works great. I've been running it for 2 weeks now and everything runs smoothly except I noticed one small inconvenience.
I don't know if this is common for Omni in general or if it's an issue only with the OP6t version of Omni but I have noticed inaccuracies in data usage. According to my carrier I have used over 5 gb this month but Omni on my 6t says I've only used 118 mb.
Thank you, all advice is welcome.

Stable Lollipop (or Lower Version) Rom for S5 (Preferably Tmobile)

Hi Guys,
Is there a stable ROM for S5 on Tmobile?
I've been using custom ROMS for the past few months and I'm having real problems with a lot of glitches. I've tried at least 5 different roms that I found on this section and I'm running into issues like text messages not being delivered and getting them a day late. I understand that these ROMS are underdevelopment but still, my user experience for my S5 has really gone down hill to a point where I almost want to get an Iphone 6 just to have everything work. This is my own problem and I want to fix it.
Is there any alternative or should I just install the stock Samsung Software back?

Is the Redmi 2 still worth it?

Hey all,
This is my first post in quite a while on XDA, since I was basically forced to move to IOS (my Ascend Mate 7 was stolen a few months ago ).
I really, really miss Android, and wish to return to the ecosystem that I love most by buying a "cheap and cheerful" Android device out of contract. Xiaomi devices have started popping up in my local stores, thus I was wondering if you guys can offer any insight on whether moving to the Redmi 2 would garner a satisfactory experience (coming from an iPhone 5s)? I wouldn't label myself as a power user anymore, though I am a huge fan of tweaking and ricing my phones, thus I do not need a octa-core gazillion GB RAM powerhouse (yet). Just enough to do all the usual phone stuff and perhaps play Downwell / Pocket Morties every once in a while. Does the Redmi stand up to these needs?
Also if I do pick one up I will absolutely stick a Cyanogenmod (or equivalent) ROM on the phone, thus can anyone comment on performance gain / loss after flashing a custom ROM? Are there any ROM suggestions for daily use (I probably won't flash a different ROM every week, but rather settle on the most stable and closest-to-stock ROM I can find)?
Any feedback will be greatly appreciated.
Cheers! :good:
I think Redmi 2 Pro/Prime is still worth it, but not sure about 2/2A. Even miui 8 for redmi 2 is based on kitkat while pro/prime seems to be based on lollipop. Features like second space and other new things that miui 8 brings are absent from kitkat version.
Now, CM13 is getting pretty stable, and premaca and nick are working on Nougat and CM14, and not only this, it boots. Thee are not a lot of phones running Nougatand Redmi 2 is one of those few add to this the price and could sound ad a no-brainer.

IncipientOS [7.1.2]

Browsing around the internet this morning, I found this ROM. I've never heard of it before. I have been rooting and ROMing since Android came out basically. Has anyone heard of or used it before on any device or the K20 Plus? I downloaded it and am backing up my RR install now but I'm very happy with RR on the K20 Plus. Any input would be appreciated. Here's the link for download files:

I think this guy Travisholt92 (https://forum.xda-developers.com/member.php?u=4711784) developed various builds and TWRP for the LG K20 Plus, here's the post:

I've been using IncipientOS in my LG K20 PLUS, and works like a charm! No big problems, it feels really fast & responsive with this unbloated ROM. Only the battery is consumed kinda quick compared with the original stock ROM, but apart from that no problems at all.
ok. new question out of nowhere.
lineage port is the only custom rom to keep the fingerprint scanner functional.
same with yawl?
and am i wrong in my estimation that none of the possible roms have substratum built in?

I don't know where all these ROMs originally came from, but they all seem (appearances at least) to possibly have been originated from Lineage.
Incipient works with the fingerprint reader. Pretty sure RR and AICP both worked as well.
As for substratum, can't recall it built in any I used.
However, in RR it would show up in the settings menu after being installed.
The K20 Plus is the first Android that I personally rooted manually, and IncipientOS was the first ROM I installed. It is IMHO the least glitchy, most stable ROM I've discovered, though I do wonder if RR is better for gaming...

Yeah the battery life isn't quite where it should be. I didn't know much about kernels at the time, but since I've been working on Oreo bringup for the LG K20 Plus I have a lot better understanding of everything. Aicp was my noobiest work, and so was RR. I don't intend to update any Nougat ROM but I can resolve kernel/tree issues if any other dev wants to support nougat while I work on Oreo.
I recently got evicted from my home due to my roommate committing fraud to come up with her part of rent and it strewed over my gf, myself, and our 2 year old son. I had to pay 200$ just to get our stuff back (including my build rig) from the landlord before he threw it all in the trash.
I'm staying at a hotel tonight uploading as many of my trees as possible for others to continue work on and so I may be able to use a remote server for development
After tonight we will be staying somewhere without electricity/running water for what seems to be at least 2 weeks until we can afford to get an electrician to get our power line outside of the house up to code so the electric company will actually hook up the power again.
Its been a crap week for me and not getting better any time soon :/

Best stable ROM for T-Mobile?

I'm on the October 2017 update for TMO with my Nexus 6. Having issues with camera slowness and some all-round sluggishness. Did the full factory reset thing about 3 months ago but it didn't really help much. So I'm wondering if flashing a DEV ROM will help. And which ROM? I need VOLTE / USA TMO support. Stability and usability are more important than raw speed or latest & greatest. Reading through the threads, there's clearly a LOT to choose from. Am I right that none of the PIE ROMs do VOLTE for TMO correctly? Anyways, long live Shamu.
Recommendations?
This is the ROM I recommend; https://forum.xda-developers.com/nexus-6/development/aosip-8-1-official-t3801408.
If you want to stay on 7.1, I would use this; https://forum.xda-developers.com/nexus-6/development/rom-5-1lightromstock-lmy47e-03-19-2015-t3059493.
I would remind you that the battery in your N6 is about 4-5 years old so replacing it would be in order.

Sounds good. So it fully supports TMO VOLTE? I went to the ROM thread and didn't see it specifically mentioned. I know you're right about the battery. I need to find someone to do that. Any recommendations? I've had mixed success opening cameras, phones & tablets up to do ****. I've gone from hero to goat.

here is a link and a how-to for the battery.

Calling application port from Nougat to Oreo Stock

Hi All
I hope everything is going fine with all. Its been 4 years since using this phone and loved it the most regardless of a bunch of problems faced in that span of time.
Well a little question is can we port the calling and dialer application from Nougat to Oreo as I love that one as it is so fast and the interface is minimal.
If yes then please let me know the procedure
Thank you all.
