I read this somewhere , here .
Take out the battery take out the sim card, wait five minutes! then connect with usb.
If i am wrong look for the post...! Good luck
and try again with no battery no sim card
Thanks,
problem solved, hard reset did the work.
The weird thing is, if i have managed to do that what will prevent thiefs from doing the same.?

I had the same, if you need to add password you have to add at least one minute in the password options, then your baby will be fine

[Q] Sim LOCK!!

i just got the phone yesterday HTC HD2 and i got the unlock code for it so i can use at&t but when i tried to put the code it already said
you have tried 14 times, please wait until timeout...
do any of you guys know any solution..or anyway to put it in timeout
i know i searched the forum but no answer to it yet
please help if you can
thanks in advance
anybody? is there anyway to override this
you only get so many tries at entering a code. I dont know the exact number, i think it varies from manufacturer to manufacturer, i think its usually around 7 times, then you have to wait (an hour maybe, perhaps longer) then you get some more goes, but if you get it wrong again it locks out for longer/permanently, unless you take it to a shop that can directly access it with a cable, and it will allow some more tries.
When i first read about this, on a different phone, about two years ago, it was 7 tries at entering through keypad, wait an hour, then 7 more tries then locked, plus 10 tries through the cable, then it was completely locked.
If you have any kind of receipt, you probably wanna kick up a fuss with the seller.
same problem
i've tried 19 times
i'm waiting 33 h now and it is impossible insert any code

HD2 SIM Lock?

Hi! I have a problem with my HD2. My phone is locked to orange and i want to use vodafone. In past i have entered 10 wrong codes for unlocking and now i see on display " You have tried 10 times, please wait until timeout... " How much time do i must to wait until i can insert the valid code from vodafone to remove simlock? I flashed my phone with official rom from HTC Europe "ROM Update for HTC HD2 (3.14.405.2)" also i flashed it with Radio 2.15.50.14. I know that i made a mistake when i have inserted 10 times the wrong code for unlocking. Now i don't konw how to fix this? Is anyone there who can help me?
Thanks!
don't know exact time but set device to stay awake (screen on) & also put it on a charger, then go to lock screen timeout & leave it for hours/days until you see code can be inserted.
Some people say counter only runs when device awake, some people have waited about 7 days before being able to enter code again.
Don't know how many wrong attempts can be made before unlocking is blocked ! 10 is pushing your luck a bit ...
I have connected my phone to charger and now i'l wait until will appear on display to insert the unlock code. It can be 1 day, 1 week, 1 month, also can be 1 year ) I told my problem to HTC help center but they told me to press volume up down and power to reset to default factory settings but it didn't work. Thank you Mister B!

Same thing happen to me. I created my a/c two months ago when I bought my P8, and log into the a/c every few days but still get the "ID not used for more than 14 days" message when requesting for unlock code. I email Huawei Support and got nothing back.
I have read somewhere that registering with Facebook ID can avoid this issue, anyone tried that?

Finally got it
Those who are facing the same problem..... just discard the huawei id and make another one from your mobile.... then use it for 15 days.... i did just that and got the unlock code through this 2nd huawei id.... cheers
I've tried the facebook login and it worked instantly !
... But now i don't dare trying to unlock the bootloader , because it's my wifes phone and she is already used to the annoying emui from Huawei
But as i said , i did get the unlock code instantly with the facebook login
Need to log on chinese page and you receive code instant.

I've registered my ID via my phone about 4 weeks ago. However, if i'm on my phone and i go to the website to unlock my bootloader it doesn't recognize the ID.....
Does one really need to register an ID on the website itself?
If yes, doesn't the being from Europe pose a problem..
Huawei should go make puzzles in stead of phones.....

T-Mobile OnePlus 6T OEM Unlocking Option Greyed Out... Why?

Does anyone know why the OEM unlocking option in the Developer Options is greyed out? I contacted T-Mobile and they will give me an unlock code within the next 48 hours. However, I cannot turn on the OEM unlocking option. It's currently off. Help, please.

Have you not been paying attention?
The T-Mobile version is BL locked until paid off.
Once paid off the IMEID must be provided via a form to get an unlock code.
Do you own it the phone or you're financing?

Good, after you get the unlock code and unlock the phone the option will be un-grayed. Also, if you haven't got the code yet, just try the unlock app, it's likely that'll work.

There is no SIM Unlock code to get on T-Mobile phones, you're either eligible/approved to get the phone SIM Unlocked or not.
When you select Permanent Unlock,it will unlock, reboot the phone, the Device Unlock app disappears & that's it.
Then,if you wish, you're free to OEM unlock/get the token from OnePlus,etc.............

Yeah that's what I meant, some other people mentioned that TMobile told them the same thing as op but they had to just go to that app and it worked.

Exactly, just wanted to emphasize, since there's still some that "didn't get the memo" & keep asking about it/checking their e-mails for something that'll never arrive/etc........
That's why I don't mess with chats/Twitter/etc...... a phone call to your dedicated Team Of Experts during normal working hours will get accurate information vs the off-hours overseas non-T-Mobile employee support.
It's obvious they're reading scripts & sorely outdated ones at that.

Yup, just wish we didn't need an unlock bin. Locking down oem option is already enough.

You should apply for the bin now so you don't have to wait later.
