I would say back up your phone, reflash the phone via fastboot. These files can be found at mifirm.net. Make sure that you flash the same ROM or above.

[Q] Sixaxis help

So I have a nexus 7, and I recently rooted my device using wugfresh's toolkit (Thanx btw)
I then downloaded the sixaxis compatibility checker, clicked start, and what not, plugged in my usb device, blah blah. I didnt use a pair tool, i just used an otg cable and used the ps3 controller via usb on the nexus. anyway, in the end, everything worked fine.
Because it was rooted, and everything was wiped clean, i kept gettin a notification to install a new update from google play or whatever. couldnt remember. anyway i installed it eventually...
and now, sixaxis doesnt work!
i re-installed both the compatibility checker and the actual app, but it doesnt work. When i click start, all it says is:
Attempting connection type 1...
Driver Starting...
and stays like that til i press stop. if i press start again, it comes up with the same thing, and theres no bluetooth address at the bottom. Before there was, now there isnt.
Could this be because of the update i installed? If so, could i just unroot, and then re-root my device, NOT install that update, and then try the sixaxis checker and app again??
Or if that wasnt the problem, what could be the problem?
Any ideas, would be awesome.
thanx in advance
May need to restart SuperSU to give the controller app rights

nexus 7 troubles... no Google play (plus more)

So I have a problem that I will try explain as best as possible. I have a first gen nexus 7 that I successfully rooted a while back. I decided that I didnt want it rooted and tried to unroot it. Now when I turn the device on, the Cyanogenmod loop still comes up and when it gets to android, the play icon is gone,a nd I have no way to install apps. I downloaded the nexus 7 toolkit to try completely unroot it, but the app doesnt seem to see my device. I booted into recovery mode, but still isnt recognized. No matter what I choose, whether it be Start, restart bootloader, or recovery mode, the device will just restart and hang on the Google logo.
Any help is appreciated

So it will boot into cm but no plays tore? Flash the right gaps and then you should be fine. As for the other issue you need someone with more wisdom than me.
it boots into CM and the tablet works (mostly) fine... wifi works, all the buttons work, etc.... but the one main thing ive noticed is that play is gone and I have no way to install apps. And as i stated originally when I try to flash it back to stock, the windows app I use says the device isnt in the right mode....
bamp!

You did flag a custom Android OS, aka Cyanogenmod. Cyanogenmod doesn't contain Google Applications -> you need to flash Google Applications separately if you want to use them ...

Download gapps for the version of cyanogenmod you have: http://wiki.cyanogenmod.org/w/Google_Apps
Then flash it in recovery after you have flashed cyanogenmod.

Thanks all for the help.. What I would ideally like to do is flash the device back to stock as though I just bought it. My problem is when I boot into recovery (hit power plus vol up ((or down...cant remember which)), the device still isnt recognizxed by the computer app im using to try flash it.
bampers!!
hi

[Q] cannot unlock encrypted phone. FML. :(

hey guys,
i have a stock s4.
i rooted it.
then uninstalled samsung keyboard.
installed custom keyboard.
and unrooted it.
then encrypted it. (i know it was a bad idea, sorry.)
now/ when my phone boots, it asks for password without giving me a keyboard to type it.
im guessing security restriction dont allow custom keyboards to appear before unlocking encryption.
pls tell me a workaround way to fix this problem.
much grateful.
if i cant reconver my data, at least tell me how to get my phone back in working condition.

yeah, but i if i do stuff via download mode or recovery mode, i will loose my data right?
if possible, i dont want loose my data. only if possible. if no choice, then i dont mind.
so how do i know if i can enter download mode or recovery mode? pls help me. i think i can, but im not sure.
i was think of using an OTG cable with a usb keyboard. u think it will work?
The keyboard might also not work as the phone would have nowhere to take the typed characters from. It's 50-50 chance.
For recovery/download mode, turn on the phone by holding volume power and home buttons and yes that would delete everything.

thanks for your reply. you were right, it didnt work.
can anyone tell me a source/link for any custom/stock rom in .tar format so that i can flash it with odin?
.zips can only be flashed with recovery and i prefer odin.
i need it desperately.
ps:
also, can anyone tell me if any recovery can detect external micro sd card or OTG cable storage?

[Q] Can i Unroot my LG G2 with SuperSU?

Hi,
Yesterday i downloaded SuperSU to my phone, and i delete it (i dont know why ) and after i delete it (from the Settings, not simple Uninstall)
i did Restart to my phone, and i saw that my SuperUser gone, but i still have ROOT access, all of my apps that need Rooted device worked.
After while, i read the discription and i saw that it should be like this, and that SuperSU switch SuperUser, so i downloaded it again.
So lets go to the point:
If i have stock ROM and stock Recovery, i can do Full Unroot from the SuperSU Settings? as i said, all completely stock, only ROOTED device, LG G2 D802.
I can do it without any problems? for sure?
Thank you so much !

I did with the same set-up as you and it worked fine. I lost my root access and tested with skygo which is very particular about not working with root and I could stream again using this.
I have supersSU pro which may make a difference.

I'm not sure what you are trying to achieve? I was referring to having a stock rom and recovery installed before rooting the device to perform some tweeks then unrooting it again. The reason that I unrooted again was so that I could use skygo which requires an un-rooted device. I have moved onto the G3 now but, as far as I can remember, the only way to return to a stock recovery is to return your device to completely stock by flashing a kdz. If you tell me exactly what you are trying to achieve I may be able to be of more help.

You answered my question I was trying to flash stock recover.img because I unrooted it via supersu but it kept twrp obviously. So I'll just flash the whole thing.
Thank you.

My phone still says root in download mode and cannot run LG software update. I have stock ROM and recovery. Others say they have the same problem but no replies. Can anyone help?
I'm curious too. What I did was used Super User and did that "Clean Unroot" method and after I pressed it, it cleared and the app was gone. But, I had a back up of my stock before doing this and deleted all other roms and downloaded all my pics and wallpapers to my computer. But I don't know if I'm unrooted. How would I check that? I can still go to the play store and install Superuser, is that normal or shouldn't it not install?
There's another method which involves installing the LG flash tool, and a Stock factory firmware. Should I do that method or am I fine with the Superuser?

[Q] Can't seem to access Recovery Mode

I've been working at finding a solution to this for a few days now but with no success.
I successfully rooted my phone (verizon LGG2). I wanted to install Cyanogenmod, so I looked up a Youtube video which instructed installing Flashify and flashing to a different recovery.
Well, all that seems to have done is keep me from accessing recovery mode in any way. Trying to use the Clockwork app to reboot into recovery leads to a black screen. Manually booting into it asks to delete all files, pressing power 3 times (which would normally do a factory reset but otherwise boots into CW recovery, from what I understand) does the same thing, and leaves all the data on my phone untouched when I manually turn it off and allow it to turn on again.
Possibly of interest is that I can still access Download Mode, and aside from recovery seeming to be nonexistent, the phone runs fine. In addition, plugging the phone into the computer and requesting adb devices in command prompt also works.
Trying to access recovery mode while plugged into a computer causes a ton of individual drives to come up with all of them having to be "formatted before they can be used".
The heck have I done and how do I fix it? I just want my cyanogenmod, dang it!
