Hello xda ppl. I gave a huge problem with my Magic. I reseted my phone from the software(in menu>settings...factory default...) and after that the phone rebooted and stay stuck at the android logos. I tried all kinds of resets like hard reset and other, but still the same problem. Is there a way to flash the phone? It's a 32A motherboard. 10x.

Do you have root?
If yes then proceed.
Do you have a custom recovery?
If yes then which one? Proceed.
Did you try a wipe from recovery?
If yes then try to reflash your rom.
If no then give it a try.
Try to give us more information too.
Rom type, spl type, recovery version, a2sd enabled?, etc.
Also remember to tell us what you did, how you did it to cause the problem(s) and what you have done so far to troubleshoot.
How can i root it if it would not start, it stucks at android logo! I said what caused this, I reseted the phone(factory default) from the menu and the phone rebooted normally after that and stayed stuck there.
What does ddms say?

I don't know how that works, or what is it. Please help me, i just got the phone and used it for a couple of hours then this nasty thing happened. Can we talk in a private chat like GTalk or other and guide me step by step? Thanks so far for answering. Cheers.
I personally will not. All of the information is here in the forums.
When did you get the phone? Did you buy it from the carrier, from another person, from a store? Basically... can you return it?
If you bought it from someone else there is a chance that it has root on it and wiping from settings caused a problem somehow.
But without knowing ANYTHING about it then your on your own.
Private chat/gtalk?
No offense but I'm not paid to be private technical support. I'm too busy to help people out that haven't made significant effort on their end already.
I suggest calling your provider and tell them that your phone stopped working. As long as you didn't root then you didn't void your warranty.

Ok, thanks anyway for responding. I solved the problem by updating it with RUU from the official HTC website.
The topic can be closed, thanks again xda!
Hello, I'm new here.
I have a problem.
I forgot the PIN lock of my SM-G360F LTE (with Android 4.4.4), and I would like to keep all my files & documents inside it.
I don't have USB Debug enabled and I don't have a Samsung Account, so there's no easy way I can connect the phone to a computer.
What can I do to save my datas?
I've already tried flashing a Custom Recovery with Odin, but I haven't found a compatible one.
Please, give me an advice on what I should do.
Not sure if this will work for your version but it can't hurt to try. It worked for my stock unrooted SM-G360T1

It doesn't work (or I'm missing something) just because I can't unlock my screen lock to install the APK.
If I'm missing something, please tell me.
What I'm looking for is a way to enable USB Debug mode without unlocking the screen (something like a Custom Recovery mode).
Read the entire post including he comments cuz that link I posted is a step by step guide to unlocking the phone. If the phone has not been factory reset yet then do that first so it causes the phone to go to the Google email verification page then follow the in the link step by step and you will have the phone unlocked. What you are doing with this guide is making a custom path to the settings menu for the phone enabling you to do a factory reset from the backup/reset setting. By doing so you will remove the link to any and all accounts that have been uses on the phone this making the device start just as it would had you bought it from the store and was doing the initial setup. Let me know if you get stick anywhere or need help

But if I factory reset my phone, I will lose all my data, which I don't want to. Or via this "Backup/Reset" setting am I keeping my data?
Sorry for all this questions, but I'm pretty confused...
You will lose your data as this is the master factory reset but you can back up everything while in this menu to your Google account. After you factory reset go through the initial setup and come back to this menu and restore from your Google account
Can I backup my photos, music, documents etc. on my Google account? And how do I do it before resetting the phone?

Check out this guide here on lifehacker...
https://lifehacker.com/5976036/simp...droid-phone-from-the-desktop-no-root-required
Works great and doesn't require root to get it done. I know it is a lil different from what I mentioned earlier but I totally spaced this method until earlier today. Hope this helps you.
Man, my main problem is I can't enable USB debugging, having the screen locked! So I can't use any ADB method.
As far as I know there is no other way to backup your data without using adb methods without a custom recovery. Have you tried flashing twrp for your device and doing a full nandroid that way? I know that twrp has a compatible version for your device. Just search the forums here for you specific device model and flash using Odin 3.10
Here is the link to the twrp website go here to make sure you model is supported then download the tar.md5 file for tour device and flash using odin. Make sure to Uninstaller lies from your pc to avoid any issues with odin
http://twrp.me/
I had already tried flashing twrp, but when I tried to boot in recovery I did get a Bootloop and the "Recovery is not seandroid enforced" error.

Are you using the hardware keys to boot to recovery (volume up+home+Power buttons)? If you try to boot to recovery from any other method it will cause a recovery loop. It's a known issue with all variants of this divice. It's gonna show the "Recovery is not seandroid enforcing" but it will go into recovery.
Of course, I'm using Home+VolUp+Power.
Im out of ideas outside of trying to flash twrp again through Odin

You can just try reflashing the stock firmware for your region in the AP slot of Odin from here.
http://sammobile.com/firmwares/database/SM-G360F/
It should keep all your data while it resets everything else like new.

Yes. In fact, if you've tripped factory reset protection (FRP), it is the only way to fix it. Here's an example of where this worked for someone else. Read my comment here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=65016084
Then also read the response that follows. Use the correct firmware for your device though at the link i gave above.

I understand that that guide has helped people and that's a good thing for sure. It's just that it's really the absolute most difficult way to fix a device that's under an FRP lock, as it's many steps rather than just the one step of flashing the stock firmware.

I appreciate the help and insight. Will definitely keep this in mind in case I ever run into this problem again.
Hi,
I have an LG V20 H910-10c (Nougat 7.0) and I am having an issue that I am praying someone can help me out with. I have already tried a Factory Wipe/Reset and Wipe Dalvik/ART & Cache and have Formatted Data to remove Encryption, etc..
Timeline: The phone worked fine in all aspects before Rooting it.
After Rooting it, I had this issue.
I then tried a Factory Reset and got stuck in a TWRP Bootloop.
I fixed the Bootloop issue with a Reset (Yes then Yes).
The issue is still there.
ISSUE: When I boot into Android, I get the following message;
"LGSmartcardService has stopped"
.....and I cannot use my External SD Card (TWRP sees it fine, I Flashed SuperSU from it).
I have Googled my brains out and simply cannot find any suggestions, except to perform a Factory Reset, which I did and that's what put me into the Bootloop and I reset the way you said and now it boots up okay, except that error message is still there.
I have not put any apps on the phone or anything. It's factory fresh (except for Rooting it).
I hope I'm not violating any rules by posting this, but the page I used to Root it has a REAL SMALL downloadable file called "V20-Root.zip" that contains everything, including the Batch files with the steps that they perform in them. I did NOT use the ROM, as that's ONLY for Sprint users and my phone is an AT&T model (Unlocked and my Carrier is MetroPCS). But I put it here, just in case someone wishes to bless me by taking a look and seeing if there's something to note. I am not a coder by any means. I do understand some basics, but I couldn't see anything that would cause this sort of problem. I did NOT install the ROM listed, because it's for Sprint users ONLY and I have an AT&T (Unlocked, using MetroPCS) H910. Here's the link to the page:
https://tinyurl.com/yacdendm
I really need my Ext SD Card to be seen! I use it extensively and it would be a real hindrance not to have it! Plus this is my ONLY phone (no landline) and I am disabled and must run everything, including my home network and laptop, etc. from it and I need its space for things I have to have available on my phone to do things that I need to do, so any help would be appreciated GREATLY!
Please Help Me and Thank You!
Dave

I recently bought a used oneplus 5 and i was told/asured it was factory reset and all. Now i'm trying to set it up but im required to enter the gmail account data from the former user, which, of course, i dont have and probably won't get because i mean who's gonna give a stranger his gmail password even if one can change it immediately.
Question is: Is there a way to bypass it (i factory resetted it another 2 times and erased all system settings and all already) and actually use my account for it or is it unusable until i get the account data of the seller
The bootloader is still locked and i factory resetted it myself 2 times.

Enter into fastboot mode by pressing volume up + power button together when the device is powered off. Connect your pc to your phone and do fastboot format userdata. For more information you can contact @MrWilsonxD he is an expert for this.

Aye did this and it failed (Flashing is not allowed in Lock State). So i guess it's because the bootloader is still locked which i can't do since i can't access the settings to enable it (which i have to if i carry out the steps of a basic tutorial). Can i access the settings somehow without finishing the inital setup? Maybe in addition to being able to unlock the bootloader i can also remove the restriction of the old user account?

Okay do this now. Wipe system, data, cache, dlavik, vendor. Then go in format and type yes. Flash oos. Reboot to recovery. Flash magisk. Flash no verity. Boot into os. See if it solve your issue.
Next method. Delete these 3 colour files in twrp. Look at photo attached.

The op has a device with a locked bootloader.
So he cannot have twrp, flash magisk every other things that you suggested...
BTW: if you're sleeping you can grab a BBS idle dump file for sure, you know what I mean

If the device has nougat, you can try to type *#812# within the emergency calling screen to get access to the home screen and can factory reset your device.
Otherwise you can try to write the partitions from scratch with the unbrick tool which should also work https://forum.xda-developers.com/oneplus-5/how-to/guide-unbrick-guide-hard-bricked-t3761706

But you didn't read my last message i moved to oos now. You don't understand that many people face this issue. Even lightning kernel developer whose kernel was used by Sian in his earlier ROM also had that issue. People don't report on XDA because of things i can't type because i will get warning from mods. Everyone has shifted to telegram and those chats are not moderated and things that happen aren't good. If you are on telegram you will know. Okay i guess i will have to become like others and don't post my own question. Just will reply to others. I will post dump file when i flash ROM again and also developer doesn't support it. + Logs won't show anything. If it was possible atleast a kernel developer would have sent to others. + It's definitely not because of me. Because i didn't install anything apart from magisk, no verity zip, fk kernel app, bbs when i did my last testing. Sorry to bother you.

Again: The op of this thread thread as the factory reset protection issue on stock rom with locked bootloader.
You cannot suggest him to boot to twrp or format several partitions, that's simply not possible!

Alright i skipped the thing with the drivers because it showed up correctly and used the msm download tool for OOS 9.0.4.
And it did work!! Thank you so much!
I don't know if this is the right place.
But my OP8 Pro is stuck in recovery mode after the latest update. (11.0.5.5.IN11BA). I tried to do some tricks that I found on the internet, like ADB and fastboot commands but most of the things don't work because my bootloader is locked.
People say the only way to enter my phone again is to factory reset. But I really don't want that because there is some important and precious data on my phone. The problem is that the files has not been backed up yet..
There should be a way to enter my phone again right? Or maybe to sideload a working version of Android WITHOUT deleting my data. Does anyone know what I can do? Thanks alot!
Nobody?
I know this is like 6 months too late... But I would suggest installing dropbox or some other service that will at least send items into the cloud as a backup of sorts. Relying on human behavior to back up pics, files is a sure fire way to end up disappointed.
