hello,
The problem i have is that i don't have memory space anymore beacause i've made 2 backups.
Those backups are located in /sdcard but i can't find this location on my pc when i connect the phone to it.
I've tried adb when my phone is in twrp modus and used this command: "adb pull /sdcardTWRP TWRP" but that doesn't work.
I would like to acces this map so i can copy the backup file to my PC.
Is there anyone that can help me with this issue?
Thanks in advance

thanks for your help. i pushed u-boot.bin.
However, "dd: can't open '/new/u-boot.bin': Not a directory" shown after i enter the second command. So, what can i do next?

oh...i found the problem is that i only can use adb in recovery mode. But everytime i reboot it, all changes i made will be erased automatically due to the limited storage i think. So, i created the folder and it just being erased.
i know it.
1. Turn on device
2. Create a folder
3. Run adb
4. Write commands.
Must write a lot of text after the second command. So fff installed. If you reboot kf after this, can see yellow triangle.
thank you so much Deat7
So, CWM saves its backups and blob directory in /mnt/shell/emulated which is not accessible via MTP. I've started using TWRP for all my new backups but I would like to copy the existing CWM backups to my PC before wiping the directory on my phone. It's currently using 8-9 GB. However, when I try to move the directory from /mnt/shell/emulated to a directory in a directory in /sdcard, the move operation ends instantly and nothing is copied. I'm wondering if the problem is that I don't have enough free space. I've got about 2.5 GB free.
EDIT: It appears that you need to have enough space to copy the entire directory before deleting it. The phone ran out of space halfway through a file copy using ES File Explorer. I guess that's why Root Explorer won't allow the move to begin.
Use adb to pull the directory to your computer, adb pull /mnt/shell/emulated
I would like to do this as well like I used to do with older versions of CWM on my Gnex. Then it was as easy as moving the large backup file found in /sdcard/clockworkmod/ folder.
I just tried that adb pull command mentioned in the post above and this starts to copy the entire contents of my phone to some unknown source on my PC (I can't find where?).
How would one go about simply backing up a CWM nandroid restore file onto a PC?

It copies to the directory that you ran the adb command from, so if you run abd from c:\windows\apps\adb it'll copy the files there

Thanks for the help. I don't know why I didn't think to do that myself.
Create a folder on your computer and open the command prompt from that directory. And then run adb pull /mnt/shell/emulated/clockworkmod/backup
This way only the backups will be copied to your pc, not the whole storage.
cmd prompt not working

Hi, I just ran into this issue also. I tried the cmd prompt but it doesn't pull anything. It says 'adb' is not recognized as an internal or external command, operable program or batch file.
Any help would be greatly appreciated, I know it's been a while since the last post but thank you.

how if I want to put it back into CWM? is there any specific way to do that? or I just have to copy and paste the data to the "/mnt/shell/emulated/clockworkmod/backup" directory.
Haven't you tried this?
I sadly dropped my nexus 4 on hard tiles yesterday face down and the whole front cracked everywhere! The phone still turns on, I can copy internal storage off fine, but since the touchscreen doesn't work anymore I'm having trouble with getting system data off e.g. sms.
I've managed to get non touch CWM installed, made a nandroid, but now I can't copy the damn thing off! ADB gives me unauthorised for every command, and obviously I can't use the phone to authorise my PC. Am I now essentially screwed? Been googling for ages and can't find a way round the fact I can't use ADB or force my phone to authorise my PC without using the screen.
Any other ideas would be massively appreciated. The phone is rooted, CM10.2, and luckily usb debugging is enabled.
Cheers!!
You said you can copy internal storage right? so why not pull the nandroid from /clockworkmod/backup?
Sent from my Nexus 4 using Tapatalk 4
I do not use CWM, but I do use TWRP and it allow me to access to the /data and /sdcard partition just fine, /system is off limit though. I don't know where your nandroid is backed up in, but I assume its in /sdcard.
Try this: Flash TWRP in fastboot mode, then press the volume button either up or down twice, then press Power to access the recovery. Then on the main menu of TWRP, you can do adb commands right away.
I can then simply back up my whole /sdcard partition by: adb pull /sdcard/ C:\backup
Or backup the all the apps data: adb pull /data/data/ C:\backup
Thank you both for the advice. I've tried using adb in recovery, but it says: remote object '/sdcard' is not a file or directory.
If I type adb devices, I get my phone ID along with 'recovery' next to as expected.
Any ideas?
Thanks.
EDIT: Ignore this, just added a / after /sdcard and now its pulling ok. Thanks so much!
I was typing this up before I read your edit:
If you don't know where certain files are, you can type "adb shell" to enter the phone itself, there you can look at the phone directory structure and find where your files are located.
Use the cd and ls commands to navigate in the phone: http://afrodita.rcub.bg.ac.rs/~ivica/nlm/part1/cd_ls.html
Once you're done, type "exit" to get out of adb shell. Then you can use the "adb pull" command to copy the files.
Hi forum
I'm stock in TWRP after I flashed the SlimKat OS for the D802 on a too old recovery.
So I'm moving forward with ADB pushing a newer recovery.zip onto my phone but this is where I'm stuck. Although the command is very simple Windows 8 isnt recognizing the G2 even through I've installed root from this PC.
I guess my question is does anyone have a link for the very lg G2 driver when in TWRP mode? Apprently it's not the same as the one you use to root etc.
A million thanks for saving my day!
I found out I need to force Windows to recognize the driver as a LGE ADB device. Now I can push the file but I can't locate the file. What am I doing wrong?
adb push recovery.zip /sdcard/
The file is copied but I can't locate it on sdcard?
Haha I end up fixing my own issue. I just forgot to mount the DATA folder
Aaaannnd it worked. Thanks for looking either way
So i am having a issue with my oneplus 5 and hope someone could help me out
So i have ended up wiping the entry phone in recovery, getting rid of all the internal data, including sdcard & operating system. At the moment the only thing i can get access to is fastboot & TWRP. I am trying to sideload or push a rom zip to the phone, but all i keep getting is the below:
adb sideload "Zip folder name and extension".
loading "zip"
cannot read "zip"
or i get an error that just says "Closed.
Now i have update to the latest drivers and adb and when i type "adb devices" my phone is showing...
I have also flashed the oneplus 5 recovery via fastboot, however when i go on to adb sideload, the phone doesnt show in CMD.
any help here will be appricated, as i am out of ideas.
Thanks in advance.
Make the file names shorter.
Alternatively, you should be able to use a flash drive through OTG and install the stuff from it.

Unfortunately, OTG isnt a selectable option and i have also tried shorting the file a names but still no look.
Thank you for the input
Use another recovery. OTG should be there, I know somebody that flashed ROMs this way.

Two things I'd try:
1. Change your directory to the one containing the zip file so the command ONLY has the filename.zip in it
2. Download the zip file again and make sure you do a md5sum check on it just in case its corrupted.
Try this:
- Boot your phone in TWRP
- Open cmd.exe on your PC
- Type adb devices (if everything is ok, it should show some numbers followed by the write "recovery")
- Move your ROM inside a folder on your PC and rename it "Rom.zip" (ie inside the folder "download")
- Using CMD.exe, move inside that folder typing "cd C:/...."
- Type "adb push Rom.zip /sdcard"
- Wait til a confirmation message will appear on CMD.exe
- Flash the ROM using TWRP
So for future reference to anyone that might have the same issue.
I fixed this issue, by flashing a older version of TWRP. This allowed me to use ADB sideload without issue & also allow OTG_USB. It also allowed me to flash files with long names.... I have tried to go back to the latest version of TWRP for OP5 but i get the errors i was getting before.
Strange, but did the fix.
Thanks all for the help & input.
