ANDREAM Allwinner T8 - 2GB RAM 32GB ROM - Steering Wheel Control & CarPlay - Android Head-Units

Hi everyone !
I've been browsing the web for the last 4 month to solve my issues with this Andream Head Unit on Android 8.1.

}
And I didn't find anything that could help me, so here is my two problems:
First one,
When I use the Z-Link app with the integrated Apple CarPlay solution, it may freeze sometimes and I have to wait until the application unfreeze.
It may happen when I drive with Waze or when I'm on the track screen. So basically, when something is moving on the screen.
I've asked for an update of this app but it seems that the guy at Andream wait till I forget the problem to answer me...
I thought it was a heat issue, but I've put a fan and a few heat sink on the cpu, now he stay between 40 and 70 degree Celsius.
Second One,
The steering wheel control doesn't work at all. I've got an Audi TT mk2 2010, and when I purchased the Head Unit, the guy sent me a BMW can bus decoder. Then after I tell him that I have an Audi, he sent me an Audi can bus decoder. So I manage the cable to have the Audi decoder working because it wasn't the same pins connector. Now, the head unit detect when I light on the car headlight, but when I go to the steering wheel control app, I can't register more than one control and when I test it, nothing happen...
So I'm wondering if I'll purchase or not the new Sony XAV-AX100. But I just wanted this thing to work ! :crying:
I hope you could bring me some help ! Best regards !

Need Help Identifying Android Headunit

Hi, Sorry for the noob question but I am new to Android Headunits. My Car Honda City had a non-android head unit which stopped working so I had to replace it and I procured a new head unit from the local market and got it installed. Now the problem is that I want to use steering controls on Apps Such as Saavn, Spotify etc but I tried using the MTCDTools which didn't work for me. My Headunit has PX5 board but in the MCU field, there is something else. I am attaching the pictures of the same and will be very helpful If someone can help me figure out how I can make the steering controls work. They Work on Radio, Bluetooth and Native Music Player.
Also, Is it possible to root this android headunit as I was looking to install Viper4Android. It doesn't have any card slot there are only USB Slots available

Android Head Unit T5 - Fiat 500x

Hello, I hope this is a good place for the topic I am opening. To get started, I need your advice on how to set up my new T5 head unit properly.
I bought this device online and according to the specification it should have 4 GB / 32 GB of memory. It turned out that the device was modified to show that it has 4 GB but actually only 2 GB and instead of Android 11 the device is actually Android 10. Quite a common scam committed by sellers from China. To cut a long story short, after a dispute with the seller, half of the amount was returned to me. My car is a Fiat 500x and originally the device was set up to use the CANBUS protocol for the FAIT Doblo car. There was no FIAT 500x on the list. Some car settings were not available to me with this FIAT / Doblo protocol so I found it to be a much better option if I use the JEEP - Renegade CANBUS protocol. With this new protocol, some previously disabled car adjustment options are now enabled for me, but I still miss seeing basic data on fuel consumption, mileage, etc ... The Air conditioning settings do NOT work either with this JEEP protocol.
Did any of you have experience with setting up a Fiat 500x car and do you know how to update the device so that in the end I have the original FAIT protocol for 500x.
Thank you all in advance.

SWC remap

Hi
I have the following Pioneer Android based head unit:
Best Bluetooth Audio Receiver in Mauritius | Smart Unit Receiver - Pioneer
Pioneer offers Bluetooth audio receiver in Mauritius. Buy Pioneer SDA-835TAB with features like 8 Inch Car AV receiver. Click here to explore more about our product
pioneer-mea.com
The unit doesn't come with any app to configure the wheel controls - I'm using the following wheel buttons:
https://it.aliexpress.com/item/4000251467791.html?gatewayAdapt=glo2ita&spm=a2g0o.order_list.0.0.21ef3696HTzWqo
connected to the head unit using:
https://automotive.paser.it/it-it/Paser/Unico-Dual-Plus-p80m11.html
The command works but some (like the navigation button) are not being used.
Can anyone advise if there is a way to remap such unused keys to any android application/function?
Thanks

What does the seller or reputable installer suggest
Use the standard keys
bump?
Hi..sorry I've just read this post. Currently I'm using this Pioneer SDA-835TAB on my 2018 Honda HR-V. When I'm installed this HU they need an optional steering wheel remote cable to connect the stock steering switch, but the detail installation I leave it to the car audio technician.
I don't use custom steering wheel switch because I'm already have it on my steering wheel.
Hope this help you.
Also I attached a photo...
The Pioneer HU using a new Android Auto UI connect wirelessly to my Samsung S22 (Android 13 One UI 5.0) via Head Unit Reloaded emulator and it works perfectly..

Need better volume controls for MTCH head unit

Bought a '09 Porsche Cayman S. Had the crappy factory PCM 3.0 nav head unit; I decided to upgrade to a factory look Android unit. Requirements were wireless Android Auto and front/rear camera inputs. I went to the highest-end unit available, the Android 12 Xtrons unit:
https://xtrons.com/porsche-qualcomm...ram-128gb-rom-integrated-4g-solution-iq82cmpl
Problem: It is all touch screen. Volume literally takes three presses to adjust - absolutely awful. Problem 2 is my car doesn't have steering wheel controls. The upgrade to steering wheel controls (without downgrading to a crappy steering wheel at least) is $2500.
I haven't found any software fixes that will work. Are there any tiny remotes (knob or button) out there that would work that I could hide. The idea was for this to look stock - if not, I'll return it and go with a Kenwood, Pioneer, etc. that has physical buttons.
MCU: MTCH-GS-V3.89a_3
API: 31 (so is Android 12)
RAM: 6GB
CPU: 8-core Qualcomm QC6125

No for a couple of reasons. One - the Cayman doesn't have cup holders there (they pop out of the dash). There isn't a place in the car where that big thing would work. Plus, I want a stock-looking option.
