Is there an alternative to the SamMobile site that offers stock factory images for the S10+?
I generally use this link https://www.sammobile.com/samsung/galaxy-s10-plus/firmware/SM-G975F/INS/ but the download speeds are really slow.

This is what I use. The download speeds are stunning and it has always had the newest roms available

Hi,
I was looking around to see how to download the official firmware from Samsung site and found this utility to download it directly from Samsung and that too at faster speeds than other sites.

I have a Note 4 International version. Unlocked. Unbranded. I wanted to use wifi calling and so want to find either the stock EE UK ROM of Android 6.0.1 or a stable ROM with all features working of the same version. Having gone round and round in the forums I keep on finding that they all seem to have problems and or its an older version. I have found the stock one on SamMobile but the download speed is just too poor and their subscription too steep. Is there an alternative for ROM Downloads?
I can't seem to figure out if CM has a version of 6+ or not as some say the latest is 5... odd. Yet other places I see version 6??? Its all very confusing.
Please help me find a good working ROM.
Thanks
J
Either put up with the slow speeds of the third party sites, or download Samfirm and you can download the latest version of firmware at decent speeds.

The thread says to use updato.com, but I ignore that because I find it to be a bit [email protected]

Can anyone give me link for latest stock ROM for G900F UK, mega or Gdrive is preferred, sammobile give very slow download. OTA not working as I rooted my 5.0 running device 2 years ago.
try updato.com
I find that download speeds are usually faster than sammobile and best of all, you don't need to create an account to download the file. They name their zips a little different from sammobile, however the actual .tar.md5 file inside is exactly the same as if you downloaded from sammobile. I do find it annoying that they got rid of their google drive hosting and instead went with their own host, but speeds are still not bad.

Getting speed of 100kB/s from there
I am trying to find the "official" rom for SM-T810 so I can install it via TWRP. There are a few links floating around that require you to purchase a membership to download. Pretty redicuous. I don't have much interest in providing a credit card to yet another internet entity for the one time to download software they didn't even write. Does anyone have a link to samsung directly for the software or some other non-pay source?
Thanks!
Sammobile only requires that you create a free login to download (at a pretty slow download rate though). High speed download requires to to pay for membership.
What is the link for the ROM on sammobile?
go to www.sammobile.com, create a login for yourself and then click on Firmware. Then put your model number in, and select your country to get the firmwares. Normally only the latest is available for download.

Great advice Dmarchant. :highfive:
That's exactly what I do.
Just to warn anyone trying it, the 'throttled' free download may take a couple of hours so make sure you have a stable internet connection.
Updato.com
They have some here https://www.theandroidsoul.com/samsung-galaxy-tab-s2-firmware/
i use the same one as ashyx said. fw.updato.com this one is free and blazing fast.
Just compared Sammobile with Updato.com and Sammobile has a later release for the UK (as well as the one offered by Updato). It looks like theandroidsoul also has the later version (Sept / Oct 2017) - T810XXU2DQI6

Sorry, my bad - I expected the firmwares to be listed in release date order rather than randomly. Didn't look far enough down the list to find the latest release.
Cos there 15kbs/sec download speeds are a pain in my.... I only download from them now and then, takes 2 hours to download a 2.1 GB file, well its going at 300kbs/sec now, when I just upgraded my broadband, they are like these file upload sites.
Why not upload all Samsung firmware to Torrent, that way if 4 or 5 people have it it will download at normal speed,Samsung firmware is not copyright cos SamMobile is not official made by Samsung.Android is open source.
You could make a torrent site for Samsung Firmware and users could upload them or shear the magnet link.
I remember the days of Touchwiz firmware.. First Android phone I got was a Samsung Galaxy Europa.Still got it and it still works.
Updato is another reliable source.
Seems like your the only one looking for such download sites and I'm not trying to be rude or anything but maybe you should upload to torrent sites yourself.
I doubt anyone has the time for that especially when you don't get anything for it not even a simple thank you.
I'm sure if someone had the time and resources to download all these files and upload it to torrent sites then it might have been done already.
Otherwise your wishing for something that won't likely happen.
Its a good idea in theory but highly unlikely that someone will download all that terabytes of software and reupload.
Oh ya and android is open source yes but Samsung official software is closed source just for the info
