Hey guys, is anyone here tried connecting a game controller via otg? Mine doesn't seem to work even though it's detecting the flash drive whenever I connect it via otg. So yeah I'm having problems controllers and I've tried multiple ones.
And also can you guys help me regarding custom ROM? I'm looking for good battery and gaming optimization and I don't know what to choose with all the available roms.
Thank you
did you find any solution for the controller issue ?

Is it possible to use a Xbox 360 controller (Wireless or wired) on the Advent Vega 2.2? I heard it can be used on VegaComb.
You can use a wired 360 controller with corvus 2.2. I dont think it has yet been added to the vegacomb kernel.
Peace.

Is there no way you can use a wired controller on the stock ROM?
Nope, the stock rom hasn't gone USB host.
Infact honey comb 3.1 added USB host support so all devices before that would need a custom rom to get USB host.
*correct me if I'm wrong folks*

Spot on, its all down to what the kernel supports. It is possible to flash just a kernel, but really there is no point. Pick a custom rom and flash it!
Here is a link for just a custom kernel, i think it supports the 360 pad: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1061619
Adding to this question, I am wondering if it is possible to get the wireless gaming receiver for the PC working on the Advent Vega:
http://www.amazon.co.uk/Xbox-Wireless-Gaming-Receiver-Windows/dp/B000MGVAAQ
I have read that the Corvus Rom currently works with it, does anyone know if any of the Honeycomb Roms work with it?
Also on the PC this adapter can support up to 4 controllers, does this also work on the Tablet? Would be an excellent way of palying a multiplayer game (even if only two work)
especially set up with the Advent Dock
stock rom does have usb host, thats why flash drives/ usb hard drives, keyboards and mice work.
Android 4.1.2 stock on n8000 allows me to connect to tv via HDMI with the help of an adaptor. I falshed CM10.2 ROM but it crashes at reboot when connected to HDMI.
Could somebody find out if this is possible with OMNI. Thanks

HDMI/TV out is currently not supported by any AOSP derivative on any Exynos4 handset or tablet from Samsung.
Thanks for explaining this clearly. I will stick to Stock for the time being
Hello everyone,
I was wondering if anyone managed to get CM11 running with USB OTG support? I admit that I'm fairly new to the custom ROM addiction, but as far as I understand the Franco.kernel, which theoretically includes USB OTG for the N4, is not compatible (yet) with CM11. Before I'll brick my phone any advise how to get this working is really appreciated!
Thanks and Cheers

Hello,
I have CM11 Snapshot M9 installed on my Nexus 4. I tried some OTG patches, but none of them work. (If I install them, The settings app crashes when starting it and I can't connect to any wifi-networks.)
Is there any possibility to use OTG on a Nexus 4 with CM11 M9?
I am a total noob with this rom/kernel flashing stuff but I managed to get timur's kernel installed yet am still getting only usb charging via my Y cable.
Do I need that usb rom too, or does timurs alone offer fast charging somehow? Or is that rom already part of what I installed, with timurs?
I dont see the slew of new menu options I came across a pic of (with usb rom).
Looked all over the web, but no answer. Sorry I am so confused and unclear.
My kernel version says:
3.1.10-gba06546-dirty
Timur-USB-host [email protected]#24
I am using the timur's version for 4.2.2 android.
Thanks for any help, really want to speed this charging up!

because i want to know too!
So I just got my Nexus 7 2012 today and got this bad boy unlocked, rooted, and running the latest CM12 nightly (3/12). Does anyone have any suggestions on the one thing that seems missing which is USB OTG on this device on Lollipop? So far I'm trying M-Kernel which seems to be lacking USB OTG and I'm not having any luck finding any kernels supporting USB OTG... am I missing something? Any suggestions? Thanks in advance for any help!
