You have an app that uses the knox SDK, do you use any ad blocker?

How can I know if any app uses Knox sdk? I have disconnect pro installed but I have it since beginning and I have this message past few months... How can I find apps that use Knox sdk?

I get this annoying message on my note 8 after installing anydesk app i don't know if that app does this or not but it's annoying as hell and i cant find the way to disable it. Any help?

Same here I am getting the same message after I installed anydesk......also that I cannot control other smartphone devices from my Galaxy A30 using anydesk. But it seems somewhat related.

Knox toast message
This Validation message is due to Anydesk app.
Uninstall the app and restart the device. Hope it solves the query.

Will this message return if the AnyDesk app is reinstalled after these steps? I constantly get the message but I use Any Desk for work and can't go without it.

Detection Information?

I get a white triangle with an exclamation point in my status bar, and the message says: "The detection has detected an application attempting unpermitted actions. To protect your device, it is recommended you reboot."
If I long press this message that is displayed in the status bar, it says app info. Which ends up being: SEAndroid version 1.0
My phone is mostly stock, but rooted and with Ktoonsez kernel.
Anyone else have this problem? or a suggestion to fix this?
I believe the answer is found in ktoonsez thread

That's the Knox security feature. Either freeze with titanium backup or use a file explorer app to go into system/app and delete the Knox apk. Make sure to back it up first.

cool, thanks for the info. :good:

"The device has noticed an app trying to perform prohibited actions.."?

Hi,
i get a notification about "the device has noticed an app trying to perform prohibited actions. For security reasons we advise a reboot.reboot now or reboot later are my choices"
what is that about?
It doesnt say which app and what it did. I basically havent really installed anything so i dont know whats up.
I got a 0x0 working root with SU and tested. UrdlV 0.2'ed.

Haven't seen that one before, seen one similar though. Is it a KNOX notification? - check what apps you have that are demanding access to system files (root apps) - and is your root working 100%? - It is possible you have deny apps that ask for Superuser in SU, find em, tweak em and should be ok.
If none of the above, may need to unroot, then re-root as it could be a bad root.
Are you talking about something like this, in the attachment?
I'm getting these notifications every once in a while, I'm not rooted, BUT (!!!) I have some apps installed that require root access (moved all my junk basically from my rooted S2 and installed all the apps deciding to root it later). So I think is that one of the apps is trying to access the root and phone is shutting it down. If you're getting this on your rooted phone, I'd double check if it's really rooted.
The latest MJ7 firmware update solve this prevention message.

It was my understanding that some apps were trying to gain root access on my unrooted phone, guess I was wrong.
I however didn't get anymore of these notifications (I don't think so) since the OTA update to MJ7, as the member alanchai mentioned prior to your reply. :good:
Hi All,
Not sure if this is a fix for all but it has worked for me as I was getting the same preventative message in notifications.
I had some apps which were installed by allowing 'unknown sources (other than play store)', once installed I unticked the 'unknown sources (under security)' this caused me to get these preventative notifications so ticked the box again and have not had the message reappear.
Am using the Note 3 SM-N9005.

Can SuperSU 'KNOX nag screen' be disabled?

I don't want SuperSU to disable KNOX but it keeps asking me if it should try to do so. Anyone any idea how to stop this?

he just said he doesnt want to disable knox.. why on earth would he disable it via titanium backup?
You should ask that question on chainfire's SU thread.
"Unless you disable KNOX popups using that dialog, its no use running SuperSU, as root calls may randomly fail. So no, I will not be removing it, and it will keep nagging you until you give it what it wants"

Not allowed to do that.
I want to leave KNOX enabled because re-enabling seems impossible, effects of disabling are not completely clear (to me) and I read reports about negative effects.

[Q] Sudden fingerprint "No match" error? Possible secure storage error.

Hi guys.
I'm really stuck here. My fingerprint sensor suddenly started showing me 'no match' when I try to scan it, but I can unlock my screen with the emergency password.
However, if I try to access private mode, neither my fingerprint nor my backup password works.
Can anyone shed some light on this matter?
Thanks.
EDIT: My phone is an SM-910F.

Try deleting your fingerprints and adding them again, or maybe restarting the phone would help.

I can't even access my fingerprint manager. And I've restarted a few times to no avail.
It also seems that the only place my emergency password works is the lock screen. I can't even change my lock type.

Maybe you should try wiping data and starting all over again, but I'd recommend installing an official ROM from Samsung....

Fingerprint Update not installing

Got a Canadian S10+... Received the new fingerprint firmware ... And whatever I do it won't install.
Just vibrates twice and says couldn't install please retry. I thought it might have been secure folder messing with it, but even after disabling nothing worked.
Kind of lost as to what could be causing the issue cuz others have successfully completed installed it
Anyone fixed this bug?
Try turning off or disabling secure folder
Had the same problem. Went into a different wifi and was able to download and install
I have the same problem, as do many others. I get the notification, can download it and the installer starts, and then fails with the "can't install" message. Canadian S10+, direct from Samsung.

Why did you make duplicate thread? There is one already with answer how to force update via adb...

.... because that thread is about forcing the update for people who can't see it.
I am having the issue where I can't install it
I had the issue and finally decided to factory reset the phone. When I got the update notification the following day it installed without issue. It's a real pain to reset the phone even with restoring from backup. Be sure to re-enter fingerprints afterwards.

Forcing the update is (as noted above) only good to get the update to show up. It does nothing for us who aren't able to install it and constantly get the "couldn't install" error.
Just an update for others ... The April software update has the biometrics update already included within.
So if someone else is having the issue... Just wait for that.
