So the new update brought link to windows to the s10 but I can't see my notifications or contacts in the windows app and from time to time it will say disconnected on my pc but not on the phone the only thing that is working is screen mirroring.
The pics don't show up the notifications and messages don't show up either, I can send text messages but it doesn't sync my contacts so I have to manually put in the number to who I am sending. Any solutions to these problems because I can't delete the phone in the windows app I did try deleting data from both apps but it always knows that my phone was connected on the windows side. I granted it all permissions and I gave it notification permission but it doesn't ask for anymore which it did for the screen mirroring thing.
Are there any additional permissions that I need to give to the app that it failed to ask? Anyone got it to work properly? If so please help :good:

Hi there
My xda mini has finally died after a long life. It actually still 'works' but the screen only shows white so i cant actually use it.
Anyway I was wondering if theres anyway to recover my text messages and multimedia messages from off the phone. I can still connect to active sync and have a poke around through the memory. I've found what looks like the MMS data in folders called MMS UA and MMS log. However the files are just .dat files. Any idea how i can turn these back into viewable files. Also i didnt find any obvious text message folders.
Thankyou in advance for any help.
Davey
ps im on o2 if thats important
Install Pocket Controller on your computer and then you will be able to see what is on your screen via the pc. You can download the trial version which works for free for four days from here
http://www.soti.net/default.asp?Cmd=Products&SubCmd=pcprodnld
Then you can either send the mms's and text messages to another phone the usual way or you can back them up using pimbackup which i have attached to this post. This needs to be ran from on the phone just unzip and place it anywhere on your device or sd card and open it using file explorer by clicking on it
This will work only if the touch screen is still working though as you have to confirm the install of pocket controller
Just keep pressing the bottom left of the wizard screen once active sync has finished installing the device software
Good luck
Hello
strange one here, my phone number dose not appear at the top on sim manger, i really need it to. I used exchange 2010 and activesync, so i can send text message from outlook or owa. i can see a whole thread of texts between me and some one else, but it dose not display my name next to the message i sent, it dose if i sent it via outlook but not the phone. any way i need to know how to get sim manger to pick up my number or can i manually edit it, my exchange server cant pick my phone number up. so i look at sim manger and found that the issue is prob due to sim manger not displaying it. please can some one help
many thanks

Try doing a search, its been answered many times.
Got my HD2 yesterday and went through all the steps to install Kumar's rom. Everything is running great but I have just one small problem.
The e-mail notifier on the home screen shows I have 1 new message when I don't. I've tried reading all that it downloaded, deleting all e-mails, deleting e-mail account, and setting it up again. It still shows I have 1 unread e-mail.
Is there a registry key I can change to fix this problem? Or perhaps another method I have not tried yet?
Have you tired a battery pull or a soft reset. I have had this issue once before and also check in your htc mail box if there is any boxes that have unopened mail that might be it also.
Have tried resetting the device. Will check the HTC thing, if you could tell me how to find it that is...
just go to your inbox that says it has a message. on the top left if you click inbox a drop down list showing all your folders should show and check in those folders.
Found this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=677686
which he suggest the same thing I did but the person who posted the question did not respond on wether it fixed it or not.
Found it, bah stupid Outlook e-mail having messages in it when I never set it up. Thank you for your help.

Hi.
The touchscreen of the HD2 of my girlfriend died today. There is no way to interact with it and because she pulled out the battery she can't connect because we can't enter the pin number. Now she wants all the phonenumbers and sms messages from her phone, but i cant find them using windows mobile device center. I've looked around and found some references to the programs MyMobiler en Everywan.
MyMobiler installs on the computer, but thats it. No connection, no clone screen nothing. As said in one topic it's probably because there's some interaction needed on the phone itself for it to install properly.
Everywan is nowhere to be found. I always get redirected to the zenprise page which offers an trial for what you need to enter a lot of information hoping they will contact for a trial version... No go at that.
Is there any other way to get the sms messages and phone numbers from her phone?
Has she used the Microsoft My Phone app lately? If so her contacts ant SMS are accessible at myphone.microsoft.com. If she has not then maybe someone else here has another seggestion. Even if it has not been resent sense she synced here phone with Microsoft My Phone what ever was on her phone the last time she did sync will be there.
When selecting all the text messages in the Spam box the app just hangs and asks me to wait or stop the app.
There must be some app to help with this ?
Is it accessible from third party apps?
I have tried many popular sms apps that claims to delete spam, but it seems that Lollipop 5.1.1 blocks them from being deleted via an app
I'm not sure, try in safe mode. You need root.
Hi
Try MOBILedit . its a software to manage your phone via PC through USB / Bluetooth connection.
It can help with what you wanna achieve here.
I been using it for quite sometime. It makes managing phone easy.
I have just tried Mobiledit, but Spam messages is not seen anywhere under the Messaging option - just normal Messages.
Have tried looking in Files & User Files, but do not know where it is located ?
Also I do not want to root my phone (yet) due to KNOX warranty issues.
15.000 spam messages?!
Djeez...
