*Please help* Broken USB Plug

Hi,
this morning i found my Xda2 with the usb plug...broken! It's impossible to put into the crandle.
Is there any way to repair it?
Where can i take replacement hw?
Thanks
Do you mean the plug on the cradle, or the socket in the PDA?
If the plug is broken, you can get sync/charge cables, and cradles from anywhere that sells qtek/imate/xda accessories such as ebay or www.expansys.com
If you mean the socket is broken, you will have to find a local service centre, but they will probably charge you for a whole new board which will be expensive.
If you can't afford this, the only way around is to buy a spare battery and charge these alternately in the cradle, and sync over bluetooth/irda.

[Q] usb charge?

Hi all, I bought my wife a Telstra T Tab for Christmas which she loves, however, because the battery life is pretty ****ty, it would be good to be able to charge from the usb. I know that this isn't possible from stock BUT, there is a second hand T Tab on ebay and the seller claims that they have unlocked it to use the usb for charging.
Is this correct, if so, how?
Thanks
P
ideos already charge by usb cable, maybe there is a problem on that specific phone
The Telstra T-Touch Tab does not charge from the microusb cable - I dont know about the huawei branded version, but the Telstra version with 2 camera's and no internal 8gb sd, does NOT charge from USB.
It only charges from the power port, what I did was cut the original power cord and splice it into the usb cable, this allows me to charge off the USB, I could upload a wiring diagram for you, all you really need is some electrical tape and a pair of pliers or a blade of some description, then just splice in red to red and black to black from each cable.
Alternately you could pickup extra cable parts and build one from scratch if you didn't want to break the original cables, either idea achieves the same goal.
Also, as a side note, I was selling a unit with the USB charging cable on eBay, I hadn't unlocked it, I had rooted it and provided an extra cable for USB charging. I decided against selling it however as mine was accidentally damaged (screen was crushed) and I'm waiting on a price to fix it. I may end up just trashing it considering the price of the unit :/
I can confirm that the IDEAOS S7 model 101 does not charge via usb, sadly..
I have built this patch cable to allow charging from any USB port by way of a standard micro USB cable.
It's not as elegant as I would like but I couldn't find a smaller component plug and socket.

Where to get a replacement USB charging port with working microphone?

I need to replace my charging port - one of the pins is broken, so I can charge, but I can't do data transfer (i.e. burn a rom....)
I bought a replacement port on ebay, installed it and the microphone didn't work. (USB port did...) I opened all up again, made sure all is installed right, still no go. I installed my old port, and the microphone worked (but not the USB port). So, as many reported the microphone on the board was broken. (The seller agreed to a refund :good
Does anyone know a reliable source for a replacement USB port with working microphone? Or do I need to order one after the other till I get a working one?

USB Cable Picky?

I'm going straight to the point.
Does the redmi note 7 is picky when choosing a type-C Usb cable?
I tried to charge the phone with the nintendo switch type-c usb, but it won't charge.
Last Saturday i went to buy a type-C cable a good brand around 12.00 $ but it didn't seem to work. i bought a random one from a store "miniso" the old telephone line cord ones. And it actually charge it.
what i want is a usb that is larger than the one that comes in the box (.
A. do i have to search for specific brand or something?
anyone know why? need had seen this problem before

Sounds like you were the victim of a proprietary cable followed by a faulty one.
Redmi Note 7 uses any standard USB type C cable.

Any cable works for me. I've used the macbook cable as well as a 3rd party one.
My RN7 won't charge with micro usb cable and USB-C adapter.
With another device - Huawei - it is working without problems.
I think the RN7 is picky
