Hi friends
When I try to talk with the microphone in the game, my voice is not going to the team mates. If I put my mouth to the bottom microphone, they can only hear. I talked to Samsung customer service, The game is not optimized for the phone, That's why we couldn't do anything, they said.
What is the experience of S10 plus(Duos) owners?
Thanks in advance.

When your team mates are using headphones and your are not you get this problem, why ? I have no idea... but it's my expérience with my s10+ exynos, so to solve the problem you should plug in your headphones too or your team mates take off theirs.
Works great with wired headset. but without headphones or with Bluetooth headset, as described above. The microphone of the Bluetooth headphones does not work at all in pubg, otherwise works with phone calls. (I tired with Galaxy buds and level on bt headsets)
is there anyone else who has this problem? just me?

I think this is a completely different problem. my phone calls are pretty clear. Last pubg update made a little bit hearable but this time makes so much noises. Teammates wants to me turn the mic off.

I have played PUBG with latest unlocked firmware of android 10 from Germany. There is no audio issue with calls or PUBG now. I believe this is a firmware issue.

Hello!
If you have a set of JVC (or any headphones with inline mic) headphones with inline mic; please let me know if your N4 picks up the input from the mic loud and clear. You can use ASR, for a quick test, or ask somebody how you sound during a call with an inline mic.
I ask due to my returning my N5 because the volume input with my inline mics was so low as to be nonfunctional. My Galaxy S2 and S4 were perfectly fine in that department. I'm considering switching to an ATT MVNO and trying to find a good unlocked phone. I really wanted to use the N5. Poop sticks. I guess my cheap fall back is an N4 or I'll splurg on a google play S4.
Thanks for your time!
Just tried it with my PalmPre headset and the gain was extremely low, the otherside could barely hear, I had to launch the voice recording app and manually raise the gain to make it audible. I tried with stock 4.3 and aosp 4.4, same results.
If this is true for all Nexus 4 you might have to find a way to permanently raise the gain or get a different phone.
I discovered this problem for the first time when during a call the other part told me that my voice was barely audible.
So investigating I found these references:
http://productforums.google.com/forum/m/#!topic/mobile/OcsdXdTGq1A
https://code.google.com/p/android/issues/detail?id=41860
We are not alone, and this really seems a sw bug in gain control. I am really surprised that very few people acknowledged this!
Interestingly enough, the handset mic is performing well with Skype and Google voice search.

Finally Google is doing something about this: http://www.androidpolice.com/2013/1...sound-levels-on-headset-mics-fix-coming-soon/
Hi guys,
I made a post about this in Q&A but no results at all. I'm coming from the N5, while I'm driving I tend to put the phone on speaker ( can't drive and talk overhere ), I had no issue with the N5 people could hear me, the quality was great. Unfortunately, with this device the quality is quiet awful, no one can hear me when I'm driving really. Is there a way to improve this?
Considered using Bluetooth? Speakers are not the strongest point of Samsung phones so not sure you can hear well inside a driving car.

Not too much into bluetooth, I'll get my headphone worst case. It's not only inside the car, while at home, it's not that great neither.

Is the S5's speaker worse than the S4's? I tend to use the speakerphone quite a bit and the S4 is adequate at best.

Never used the S5, if the S4 speaker is similar to the Nexus 5 then s4 speaker are better than the S5.
i will agree with this. Because I actually had the HTC One and found out that even that phone has a good speakerphone than S5. Audio quality is another fringe area that can really improve the way you use your phone in ways you don't think about. I often watch video, play music, and Skype on my smartphones, without using headphones. I sometimes use the speakerphone as well. While there's nothing wrong with the Samsung Galaxy S4's speakers, which I had, they don't have the same loud, rich audio impact as the HTC One's excellent set.
I find that my s3 had a better speaker sound quality than the s5

Borrow headphones (with mic) to test on your phone, then test your AKGs on another phone.
IPhone headphone work find with mic. but volume control is not working, in AKG all working except mic. And JVC XXX Extreme explode headphone which unfortunately does not have mic in built

Apple's volume control on their headsets will not work on Android devices. Same goes in vice-versa for some of the in-line microphones due to different impedance values.
I have the same issue with the same headphones but after unplugging and plugging it several times I manage to get it to detect the mic.
I test with Google search bar if it can hear me. I am also investigating why it is not stable, but I can tell you that sometimes work. I will post more here if I find more info.
Sent from my ONEPLUS A3003 using Tapatalk
Now I can almost make the phone detect them by plugging them slowly, like in two steps. One till the headphones make a sound and a bit further in to complete pushing them inside. Right after the mic works. I would suggest to try that.

Don't tell me... However the headphones work with other telephones without any problems and other headphones work with the op3 at first attempt. No idea.
Sent from my ONEPLUS A3003 using Tapatalk
I told OP helpdesk about the issue. They responded OP3T is compatible with every CTIA headphones but it'd be the best to use bullets.
Same here. These headphones worked fine with Samsung Galaxy S8, Tab S, Ace4, Huawei P8 lite, LG G4, Sony Z3 and some Asus smartphone.
I won't buy any OnePlus smartphone.
Hi guys.. i bought mi pro hd in ear yesterday... And i hear too much treble... While i use it in mi a1 .... Can anyone explain this..
Is it only with this device? The earphones are known for a balanced sound not for bass heavy sound. You could always use an amplifier or an equalizer and see if helps

The Mi Pro HD is infamously known to have a harsh and sometimes piercing treble. Depending on your music track, it could either sound enjoyable or torturing. You could either equalize the treble peak or simply get a different earphone with a tamer upper end. I didn't get much success eqing it.
Source: I own one. Covered the vents with bluetack for extra bass and lent it to my friend indefinitely. Never been happier.
It is known to be like that ever since. That's why I bought Mi Pro Earphones (not HD) instead.

When you call granny, does she keep saying "Huh?! Wut?!" or does the conversation flow pretty well? Rate this thread to express how you feel about the ASUS ZenFone 6 (2019)'s call quality. A higher rating indicates that calls are clear and crisp, and that regardless of background noise, you can hear the other party clearly (and with ample volume) and they can hear you.
Then, drop a comment if you have anything to add!
This is specifically for Indian variant.

I have seen a few YouTube reviews that also state that the call quality is not good due to the limited room for the speaker with the movable camera module. Just another strike against this phone.

Hello namesake! Thanks for sharing your honest feedback. For me the call quality and heating issues are a deal breaker. Everything else is exactly what I'd expect from a phone
Wow , Not one good call quality review ??
is this only the india variant that is having problems?
if you hold it at 45° instead of holding it how u hold usually you will hear it better that's work around for me... earpiece is at the top and keep 1 volume down from max. Hope to get updates for the same.

is this problem affecting only the indian variant?
Can anyone confirm if this sound quality issue during calls (due to the speaker being inside the flipcam) only affects the indian variant? I wanted to buy the global variant sold in Europe and I find it odd that no one is talking about this huge issue while calling... Especially very well known youtube reviewers.
If this affects all the variants, it's a major failure from Asus...
Anyone with a global variant (from Europe) can confirm if this is or is not an issue?

I also think that many users are unaware that ZF6 must hold at its ear in a different way than they were used to with phones with a classic headphone location.

I cannot confirm this problem with European distribution in O2 network. What makes it strange, in Europe, ZF6 does not support VoLTE, but it supports VoLTE in India. Yet VoLTE is supposed to improve call quality, it doesn't make sense ...

Anyway, something must be different in India ZF6 version...
No such issues for me here in Sweden, although I don't do so many calls using the earpiece, and I don't use VoLTE.
It's also quite loud I have to reduce the volume 1 or 2 notches below maximum.

Maybe because VoLTE uses a wider range of sound frequencies make the problem more apparent... Or there is some software bug/coded configuration in some operators. Do O2 supports VoiceHD codec over 3G? It should have a similar sound quality to VoLTE. VoiceHD is usually supported between compatible mobile terminals during calls between clients of the same operator.

Thank you for your feedback.
Here in Portugal we have operators that support VoLTE, although I think Asus does not currently support their VoLTE. I asked ASUS technical support about that 2.5 weeks ago without any reply yet. In Portugal we have operators, such as Vodafone, that supports VoiceHD over 3G, which gives a similar call quality to VoLTE, but only works for calls between the same operator. I also asked for VoiceHD codec support. I can live without VoLTE if, at leats, VoiceHD support is enabled. I use it for 6 years now and it really makes a huge difference.

The speaker on my phone is situated on the body of the phone and not on the flip cam, other than that om running 50% call volume with no issues

You are wrong, the ZF6 ear speaker is placed in the flip camera body, not in the phone body. There is only a sound grid in the phone through which the sound passes, but the sound is created in the body of the flip camera. Play some music and try to rotate the camera while listening to ear speaker, you will find out that it is designed that way I describe it.

@shivareddy456 Some have reported that their sound improves at high volume when they put their finger on the camera module. Does this happen to you? The sound quality doesn't change on my test unit no matter if I keep my finger on it or not, but maybe it does on some units. That would explain why you think it isn't acceptable if you can hear a difference. It's never going to sound great because we didn't have much room to work with. The earpiece is located inside the camera module but it should sound acceptable and in line with the quality you get from most phones.

So, reduced sound quality is just a feature of this phone...
The speaker is in the camera module? Just another strike against this phone for sure. I still think my 8/256 OnePlus 6 is better than this phone top-to-bottom. Such a shame.
